We determine orbit representatives of all proper subplanes generated by quadrangles of a Veblen-Wedderburn (VW) plane Π of order 112 and the Hughes plane Σ of order 112 under their full collineation groups. In Π, there are 13 orbits of Baer subplanes all of which are desarguesian and approximately 3000 orbits of Fano subplanes. In Σ, there are 8 orbits of Baer subplanes all of which are desarguesian, 2 orbits of subplanes of order 3 and at most 408,075 distinct Fano subplanes. This work was motivated by the well-known question: “Does there exist a non-desarguesian projective plane of prime order?” The question remains unsettled.  相似文献

The differential quadrature method based on cosine expansion is applied to obtain numerical solutions of the RLW equation. The propagation of single solitary wave is studied to validate the efficiency of the algorithm. Then, test problems including interaction of two and three solitary waves, undulation, and evolution of solitary waves are implemented. Solutions are compared with earlier results. Through accumulation, mercury contamination in aquatic systems still poses serious health risks despite the strict regulations on drinking water and industrial discharge. One effective strategy against this is adsorptive removal, in which a suitably functionalized porous material is added to water treatment protocols. Thiol (SH) group-grafted structures perform commendably; however, insufficient attention is paid to the cost, scalability, and reusability or how the arrangement of sulfur atoms could affect the HgII binding strength. We used an inexpensive and scalable porous covalent organic polymer (COP-130) to systematically introduce thiol functional groups with precise chain lengths and sulfur content. Thiol-functionalized COP-130 demonstrates enhanced wettability and excellent HgII uptake of up to 936 mg g−1, with fast kinetics and exceptionally high selectivity. These Hg adsorbents are easily regenerated with HCl and can be used at least six times without loss of capacity even after treatment with strong acid, a rare performance in the domain of Hg-removal research.  相似文献

The host–guest inclusion complex of meta-cresol (m-cresol, liquid at room temperature, guest molecule) is synthesized with β-cyclodextrin (β-CD, host molecule). The inclusion complex is characterized by various techniques like nuclear magnetic resonance, powder X-ray diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscopy and spectroscopic (steady state as well as time-resolved) techniques. To the best of our knowledge, no literature data is available on the photophysical properties (especially fluorescence upon photoexcitation) of m-cresol in liquid media till date. Our spectroscopic studies exhibit some interesting photophysical properties of m-cresol and its inclusion complex with β-CD in different liquid media. The present work is important in view of the various potential applications of m-cresol in science, technology and medicine.  相似文献

Growth of bismuth oxide (most probably Bi2O3) was observed in situ in a transmission electron microscope. Bi liquid particles were dispersed on the substrates of diamond or SiO2. Introduction of oxygen up to 5 x 10-4 Pa resulted in formation of bismuth oxide (most probably Bi2O3) whiskers. The growth mechanism of the whisker was discussed in terms of a vapor-liquid-solid (VLS) mechanism. It is suggested that the liquid droplet of Bi acts as a physical catalyst for growth of bismuth oxide (most probably Bi2O3) whiskers.  相似文献

The influence of boric acid or phenylboronic acid on thermal conversion of levoglucosan in acidic sulfolane was studied. Although levoglucosan was converted to levoglucosenone, furfural and 5-hydroxymethyl furfural (total yield: 40 mol%) at 200 °C in sulfolane containing 0.1 wt% H2SO4, addition of boric acid enormously lowered the yields of these, and instead caused the formation of a stable complex in more than 70 mol% yield. Thus, boric acid substantially suppressed the acid-catalyzed dehydration and formation of furfurals from levoglucosan through complex formation. From the 1H NMR spectrum, the chemical structure of this complex was confirmed as -d-glucofuranose cyclic 1,2:3,5-bisborate, which was readily hydrolyzed quantitatively to glucose by the addition of water. Phenylboronic acid also exhibited similar influences.  相似文献

The nonlinear Korteweg-de Vries–Burgers’ equation is solved numerically by method of Galerkin using quartic B-splines as both shape and weight functions over the finite intervals. Five test problems are studied to demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method. A comparison of numerical results of both algorithm and some published articles is done in computational section. The numerical results are found in good agreement with exact solutions.  相似文献

5,6‐bis(4‐methylphenyl)‐2,3‐dihydro‐1,2,3,4‐tetrazine 2 was synthesized by the dimerization of ethyl p‐methylbenzoateformylhydrazone 1 in hydrazinehydrate solution. 2,3‐bis(4‐methylphenyl)‐6,7,14,15‐tetrahydro[1,2,3,4]tetrazino [2,3d][1,8, 4,5]benzodithia‐diazecine‐10,11‐dicarbonitrile 4 was sythesized by cyclization reaction of tetrazine monomer 2 onto 1,2‐bis‐(2‐iodoethylmercapto)‐4,5‐dicyanobenzene 3 . Co(II) and Cu(II) phthalocyanine complexes were prepared by reaction of the dinitrile compound ( 4 ) with the chlorides of Co(II), Cu(II), and DMAE at 175°C, 350 W in a microwave oven for 10 min. Zn(II)‐phthalocyanine complex was prepared by reaction of the dinitrile compound 4 with the acetate of Zn(II) and DMAE at 175°C, 350 W in a microwave oven for 10 min. The new compounds were characterized by a combination of IR, 1H‐NMR, 13C NMR, UV‐vis, elemental analysis, and MS spectral data. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Modifying sorbents for the purpose of improving carbon dioxide capture often results in the loss of surface area or accessible pores, or both. We report the first noninvasive functionalization of the polymers of intrinsic microporosity (PIMs) where inclusion of the amidoxime functionality in PIM-1 increases carbon dioxide capacity up to 17% and micropore surface area by 20% without losing its film forming ability.  相似文献

A tetra-substituted phthalocyanine based on 4-[2-(4-nitrophenoxy)ethoxy]phthalonitrile carrying nitrophenyl group for the sensing of Zn2+ has been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1H and 13C NMR, and MS spectral data. The sensing of Zn2+ is based on the fluorescence quenching of Pc. Both absorbance and fluorescence spectra of ZnPc exhibit distinct changes in visible region in response to treatment with Zn2+ ion in dimethyl sulfoxide. The fluorescence spectrum of the ligand showed quenching in the intensity of the signal at 688?nm for Zn2+. The complex composition of ZnPc was found 1:1 by means of spectrophotometric and spectrofluorimetric titration data. The spectrofluorimetric method showed good sensitivity for Zn2+ with linear range and detection limit of 4.0?×?10?6–4.4?×?10?5 and 2.4×10?7?M, respectively.  相似文献
