A novel solid phase extraction microchip with a boronic acid functional affinity monolithic disc was developed in this work. Vinyl phenylboronic acid–ethylene glycol dimethacrylate co-polymer monoliths, which have pore sizes up to 20 μm, were investigated for extraction of catecholamines using adsorption and desorption studies in a batch system. Desorption yields of greater than 90% were achieved for catecholamines at pH 3 and below. Monolithic discs were then formed in chambers in borofloat glass microfluidic chips using in situ UV polymerization. Adsorption on the monolithic discs was performed via electrokinetic flow, with catecholamines determined via laser-induced native fluorescence (LINF) detection following electrokinetic elution. Microchips containing the boronic acid functional polymer discs worked well for extraction of catecholamines, providing greater than 100 fold concentration enrichment. This study demonstrated that a solid phase extraction microchip, containing an easily prepared monolith disc, will be useful for boronate affinity extraction of cis-diol containing compounds.  相似文献

We have designed and performed an experiment that permitted direct observation of Brillouin backscattering in an Yb-doped double-clad fiber laser. Fifteen Brillouin-shifted frequencies were observed for the first time to our knowledge. We clearly demonstrate that stimulated Brillouin scattering is directly responsible for both fast transient dynamics of the laser and reduction of the laser's pulse width.  相似文献

Functional‐group‐oriented polymerization strategies have contributed significantly to the initial development of porous polymers and have led to the utilization of several well‐known organic transformations in the synthesis of these polymers. Because there are multiple polymerization routes that can be used to introduce the same chemical functionality, it is very important to demonstrate the effect of different polymerization routes on the gas‐sorption properties of these chemically similar polymers. Herein, we have studied the rich chemistry of azobenzenes and synthesized four chemically similar nanoporous azobenzene polymers (NABs) with surface areas of up to 1021 m2 g?1. The polymerization routes have a significant impact on the pore‐size distributions of the NABs, which directly affects the temperature dependence of the CO2/N2 selectivity. A pore‐width maximum of 6–8 Å, narrow pore‐size distribution, and small particle size (20–30 nm) were very critical for high CO2/N2 selectivity and N2 phobicity, which is associated with azo linkages and realized at warm temperatures. Our findings collectively suggest that an investigation of different polymerization routes for the same chemical functionalization is critical to understand fully the combined effect of textural properties, local environment, and chemical functionalization on the gas‐sorption properties of nanoporous polymers.  相似文献

Dynamic programming is applicable to any situation where items from several groups must be combined to form an entity, such as a composite investment or a transportation route connecting several districts. The most desirable entity is constructed in stages by forming sub-entities of progressively larger size. At each stage of the development, the sub-entities that are candidates for inclusion in the most desirable entity are retained, and all other sub-entities are discarded. In deterministic dynamic programming, a specification of the current state and current decision is enough to tell us with certainty the new state and costs during the current stage. In many practical problems, these factors may not be known with certainty, even if the current state and decision are known. In this paper, the dynamic programming is applied to the situation where each investment in the set has the following characteristics: the amount to be invested has several possible values, and the rate of return varies with the amount invested. Each sum that may be invested represents a distinct level of investment, and the investment therefore has multiple levels. A fuzzy present worth based dynamic programming approach is used. A numeric example for a multilevel investment with fuzzy geometric cash flows is given. A computer software named FUZDYN is developed for various problems such as alternatives having different lives, different uniform cash flows, and different ranking methods.  相似文献

The three-dimensional photoluminescence emissions between 380 and 800 nm of the dentritic agate with white body color from the Dereyalak-?nönü-Eski?ehir (Turkey) region were obtained at the temperatures between 250 and 340 K under 366 nm excitation. The most advantage of three-dimensional photoluminescence graphic in a silica structure is to demonstrate clearly all vibronic structures through temperature increasing on the spectra. Hence, photoluminescence response from the gem-quality material was discussed in relation to chemical impurities of trivalent rare earth elements.

In the photoluminescence spectra, two strong and many weaker emission bands became clear at the lower temperature (250 K) conditions. First strong one is the purple band, and the highest emission peak is observed at 394 nm. Second strong one is the red band, and the highest emission peak is observed at 717 nm. The half-width of these main bands is approximately 17–19 nm, and such band's combination is typical for trivalent rare earth elements. Chemical analyses in this study show the abundances of many rare earth elements in the material. In order of abundance, they are yttrium (845 ppm), gadolinium (238 ppm), lutetium (196 ppm), dysprosium (45 ppm), neodymium (41 ppm), promethium (34 ppm), europium (18 ppm), and scandium (3 ppm). However, the two strong emission bands are, of course, due to yttrium and gadolinium ions, respectively.

As a result, the intensities of these bands gradually decreased forming a sequence until the temperature of 280 K. Hence, the photoluminescence of the Turkish dentritic agates does not exist at higher temperatures, mainly because of high iron (40.000 ppm) abundance.  相似文献
