Both acoustic radiation modes and structural modes play an important role in the field of structure-borne sound, however, little work has been done for inherent relations between these two kinds of modes. This paper is focused on the relationship between the radiation modes and structural modes and its physical mechanisms. First, a governing equation for relating the radiation mode and structural mode is given based on the characteristics of the modes. Then, using the symmetric or anti-symmetric properties of two kinds of modes, the corresponding relations are presented. And then, numerical examples are given to verify the theoretical investigations, and it has been shown that, for a simply supported rectangular panel vibrating at low frequencies, the first radiation mode is dominant corresponding to (odd, odd) structural modes; the following radiation modes are respectively dominant corresponding to (even, odd), (odd, even), and (even, even) structural modes. Finally, such relations are applied to active acoustic structural control and provide a direct help for the design of active control strategy and arrangement of the secondary forces. 相似文献

The thermophoretic sampling of particulates from hot media, coupled with transmission electron microscope (TEM) imaging, is a combined approach that is widely used to derive morphological information. The identification and the measurement of the particulates, however, can be complex when the TEM images are of low contrast, noisy, and have non-uniform background signal level. The image processing method can also be challenging and time consuming, when the samples collected have large variability in shape and size, or have some degree of overlapping. In this work, a three-stage image processing sequence is presented to facilitate time-efficient automated identification and measurement of particulates from the TEM grids. The proposed processing sequence is first applied to soot samples that were thermophoretically sampled from a laminar non-premixed ethylene-air flame. The parameter values that are required to be set to facilitate the automated process are identified, and sensitivity of the results to these parameters is assessed. The same analysis process is also applied to soot samples that were acquired from an externally irradiated laminar non-premixed ethylene-air flame, which have different geometrical characteristics, to assess the morphological dependence of the proposed image processing sequence. Using the optimized parameter values, statistical assessments of the automated results reveal that the largest discrepancies that are associated with the estimated values of primary particle diameter, fractal dimension, and prefactor values of the aggregates for the tested cases, are approximately 3, 1, and 10 %, respectively, when compared with the manual measurements. 相似文献

Morphology-structure of oriented noncrystalline polyesters has been studied using the parameters changes of the broad peaks in wide angle X-ray scattering (WAXS) with azimuth angles. Twe-dimensional WAXS show that the oriented noncrystalline polyester is made up of long plane-like chains arranged in opposition to each other; and these chains are composed of oriented atomic distances with the chain axes parallel to the drawing direction and are closely arranged into lateral ordering. It is concluded that the arrangements of both interchain and intrachain distances are in good order in the oriented direction, while in other directions, they are arranged nearly at random. This shows that the oriented noncrystalline polymers are materials with their ordered structure varying with directions. 相似文献

The polycrystalline Ti/TiNx multilayer films were deposited by magnetron sputtering, and the as-deposited multilayer coatings were annealed at 500-800 °C for 2-4 h in vacuum. We investigated the effects of annealing temperature and annealing time on the microstructural, interfacial, and mechanical properties of the polycrystalline Ti/TiNx multilayer films. It was found that the hardness increased with annealing temperature. This hardness enhancement was probably caused by the preferred crystalline orientation TiN(1 1 1). The X-ray reflectivity measurements showed that the layer structure of the coatings could be maintained after annealing at 500 °C and the addition of the Si3N4 interlayer to Ti/TiNx multilayer could improve the thermal stability to 800 °C. 相似文献

We investigate the influence of dc electric field on chiral symmetry breaking during the growing process of NaClO3 crystal. Nucleation and growth of NaClO3 are completed from an aqueous solution by a fast cooling temperature technology. A pair of polarization microscopes are used to identify a distribution of chiral crystals. Experimental results indicate that the dc electric field has an effect on distribution of chirality, but the direction of the dc electric field is not sensitive to the chiral autocatalysis and selectivity, i.e. the nature convection driving by the gravity does not play an important role on a thin layer of NaClO3 solution. We construct the bounce-averaged diffusion coefficients and study the bounce-averaged acceleration for energetic electrons in gyroresonance with whistler mode chorus. Numerical calculations have been performed for a band of chorus frequency distributed over a standard Gaussian spectrum specifically in the region near L = 4.5, where peaks of the electron phase space density occur. It is found that whistler mode chorus can efficiently accelerate electrons and can increase the phase space density at energies of about 1 MeV by more than one order of magnitude about one day, in agreement with the satellite observations during the recovery phase of magnetic storms. 相似文献
