New oxygen carriers have been synthesized by the interaction of the CuII/NiII derivative of the bis(5-nitroindazolyl)methane complex with 14-membered 1,8-dihydro-1,3,6,8,10,13-hexaazacyclotetradecane (M-mac), where M=FeIII, NiII, CoII, to yield binuclear complexes. These complexes have been characterized by physico-chemical methods: elemental analysis, i.r., 1H-n.m.r., 13C-n.m.r., 2D cosy n.m.r., e.p.r., u.v.–vis. spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. A representative binuclear FeIII–CuII complex was chosen to interact with H2O2 to elucidate the mechanistic pathway of oxygen binding in solution spectrophotometrically, and also by cyclic voltammetry. Hydrogen peroxide exhibits two mechanisms for binding, either (i) homolysis or (ii) heterolytic cleavage. The mode of H2O2 binding can be hazardous in (i) due to the threat of oxidative damage to the cellular structure, proteins and metabolites, or eco-friendly as in (ii) which produces innocuous products such as water and dioxygen. CeO2 nanoparticles with various characteristics find an increasing number of applications in the electronic, medical, and other industries and are therefore likely released in the environment. This calls for investigations linking the physicochemical properties of these particles with their potential environmental impacts. In this study, CeO2 nanoparticle powders were prepared using three different precursors [Ce(NO3)3, CeCl3, and Ce(CH3COO)3] and annealing temperatures (300, 500, and 700 °C). This procedure resulted in nine different types of nanoparticles with differing size (5–90 nm), morphology, surface Ce3+/Ce4+ ratio, and slightly different crystal structures as characterized using transmission electron microscopy, dynamic light scattering, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction measurements with Rietveld refinement. These CeO2 nanoparticles underwent toxicity testing at concentrations up to 64 mg L?1 using Daphnia magna. Toxic effects were observed for three particle types with EC50 values between 5 and 64 mg L?1. No clear correlation was observed between the physicochemical properties (size, shape, oxygen occupancy, Ce3+/Ce4+ ratio) of the nanoparticles and their toxicity. However, toxicity was correlated with the amount of Ce remaining suspended in the test medium after 24 h. This indicated that toxic effects may depend on the colloidal stability of CeO2 nanoparticles during the first day of exposure. Therefore, being readily suspended and remaining stable for several days in the aquatic media increases the likelihood that CeO2 nanoparticles will cause unwanted adverse effects. 相似文献

In this paper, we determine Jordan triple higher derivable map on a ring R, which contains a nontrivial idempotent which is automatically additive. The present paper reports the preparation of poly (3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) ferrimagnetic conducting polymer composite by incorporation of ferrite particles in the polymer matrix by emulsion polymerization. Synthesis of PEDOT–γ‐Fe2O3 composite was carried out by chemical oxidative polymerization of EDOT with ferrite particles in the presence of dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid (DBSA) that works as dopant as well as surfactant in aqueous medium. The resulting conducting composite possesses saturation magnetization (Ms) value of 20.56 emu/g with a conductivity of 0.4 Scm?1, which was determined by VSM and four probe technique, respectively. B‐H curve reveals that ferrimagnetic particles of γ‐Fe2O3 show super‐paramagnetic behavior at room temperature which was also observed in PEDOT–γ‐Fe2O3 composite. The resulting conducting ferrimagnetic composite shows microwave absorption loss of 18.7–22.8 dB in the frequency range of 12.4–18 GHz. Thermogravimetric analysis of the composite revealed that the composite is thermally stable up to 230°C. Flavonoids are famous for their antioxidant capacity and redox potential. They can combat with cell aging, lipid peroxidation, and cancer. In the present study, Artemisia annua hybrid (Hyb8001r) was subjected to qualitative and quantitative analysis of flavonoids through HPLC. Rol genes transgenics of A. annua were also evaluated for an increase in their flavonoid content along with an increase in antioxidant and cytotoxic potential. This was also correlated with the expression level of flavonoids biosynthetic pathway genes as determined by real-time qPCR. Phenylalanine ammonia-lyase and chalcone synthase genes were found to be significantly more highly expressed in rol B (four to sixfold) and rol C transgenics (3.8–5.5-fold) than the wild-type plant. Flavonoids detected in the wild-type A. annua through HPLC include rutin (0.31 mg/g DW), quercetin (0.01 mg/g DW), isoquercetin (0.107 mg/g DW) and caffeic acid (0.03 mg/g DW). Transgenics of the rol B gene showed up to threefold increase in rutin and caffeic acid, sixfold increase in isoquercetin, and fourfold increase in quercetin. Whereas, in the case of transgenics of rol C gene, threefold increase in rutin and quercetin, 5 fold increase in isoquercetin, and 2.6-fold increase in caffeic acid was followed. Total phenolics and flavonoids content was also found to be increased in rol B (1.5-fold) and rol C (1.4-fold) transgenics as compared to the wild-type plant along with increased free radical scavenging activity. Similarly, the cytotoxic potential of rol gene transgenics against MCF7, HeLA, and HePG2 cancer cell lines was found to be significantly enhanced than the wild-type plant of A. annua. Current findings support the fact that rol genes can alter the secondary metabolism and phytochemical level of the plant. They increased the flavonoids content of A. annua by altering the expression level of flavonoids biosynthetic pathway genes. Increased flavonoid content also enhanced the antioxidant and cytotoxic potential of the plant. 相似文献

Fluorinated monomers containing a benzoxazine moiety have been synthesized successfully by preparing the benzoxazines from fluorinated amines (4‐fluoroaniline, 2,4‐difluoroaniline, and 2,3,4‐trifluoroaniline). These monomers were polymerized by step curing process following a cure cycle of 100, 150, 200 and 250°C for 1 h at each temperature. The molecular structure of the monomers and their polymers was characterized by Fourier transform infrared and nuclear magnetic resonance techniques. The synthesized fluorinated polybenzoxazines were able to reduce the dielectric constant to 2.0 for polybenzoxazine from 2,3,4 trifluoroaniline (PTF)‐Bzo at a frequency of 1 MHz. Moreover, they possess high thermal stability and low moisture absorption, which makes it suitable for high‐temperature process of interlayer dielectrics. 4-(2,3,4-trimethoxyphenyl)-8-methoxy-2-oxo-1,2,5,6 tetrahydrobenzo [h] quinoline-3-carbonitrile (TMTQ) dye was synthesized by one-pot multicomponent reactions (MCRs) of 2,3,4 trimethoxybenzaldehyd, ethyl cyanoacetate, 6-methoxy-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-naphthalin-1-one and ammonium acetate under microwave irradiation. The structures of the synthesized compound was established by spectroscopic (FT-IR, 1H–NMR, 13C–NMR, EI-MS) and elemental analysis. In addition, spectroscopic and physicochemical parameters, including electronic absorption, excitation coefficient, Stokes shift, oscillator strength, transition dipole moment and fluorescence quantum yield have investigated in order to explore the analytical potential of synthesized compounds. TMTQ dye undergoes solubilization in different micelles and may be used as a probe and quencher to determine the critical micelle concentration (CMC) of CTAB and SDS. In addition we extent of TMTQ anti-bacterial properties TMTQ was first tested in vitro by the disk diffusion assay against two Gram-positive and two Gram-negative bacteria, and then the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) was determined with the reference of standard drug Tetracycline. 相似文献

Solid-state polymer electrolytes possess high conductivity and have advantages compared with their liquid counterparts. The polyethylene oxide (PEO)-based polymer is a good candidate for this purpose. The PEO/SnCl2/polyaniline composite (PSP composites) at different weight percentages were prepared in anhydrous acetonitrile media. Structural studies were carried out of the prepared composites by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transmission infrared spectroscopy, and surface morphology by scanning electron microscopy. The σ dc was carried out by a two-probe method, and it is found that the conductivity increases with an increase in temperature. The temperature-dependent conductivity of the composites exhibits a typical semi-conducting behavior and hence can be explained by the 1D variable range hopping model proposed by Mott. The electrochemical cell parameters for battery applications at room temperature have also been determined. The samples are fabricated for battery application in the configuration of Na: (PSP): (I2?+?C?+?sample), and their experimental data are measured using Wagner’s polarization technique. The cell parameters result in an open-circuit voltage of 0.83 V and a short-circuit current of 912 μA for PSP (70:30:10) composite.
