A quantum-mechanical calculation of the intensity distribution in the resonance Raman (RR) spectra of 2-thiouracil and 4-thiouracil is carried out for exciting laser radiation at 300, 257, and 248 nm. It is shown that, for satisfactory agreement between the calculated results and the experimental data, it is necessary to take into account in the calculations of the relative intensities of lines the Herzberg-Teller effect and the contribution from excited electronic states adjacent to the resonance state. The general and specific features of the intensity distribution in the RR spectra of uracil and its thiosubstituted derivatives are compared and discussed.  相似文献

A direct quantum-mechanical calculation of the resonance Raman spectrum of a benzonitrile molecule upon excitation with laser radiation at a wavelength of 228.7 nm is performed in the Herzberg-Teller approximation with allowance made for the Duschinsky effect. The results of the calculation are in reasonable agreement with the available experimental data. The intensity distribution in the calculated resonance Raman spectrum of the benzonitrile molecule is compared with the intensity distributions in the spectra of benzene, methyl-substituted benzenes, and halogenated benzenes. It is revealed that the intensity distributions in the resonance Raman spectra of these compounds are characterized by a number of common features.  相似文献

An experimental and theoretical study of the tautomeric composition of adenine (Ade) in water using Raman spectroscopy is reported. Experimental resonance Raman spectra of adenine at excitation wavelengths of 200, 218, and 266 nm were compared with quantum-mechanical calculations of N(9)H- and N(7)H-adenine tautomers and their cations. Both theoretical and experimental studies of nonresonance Raman spectra (457 nm excitation) of adenine were also performed for comparison. A satisfactory agreement of the calculated results with the experimental data was obtained. The Raman spectra are interpreted, and the basic regularities of the Raman intensity distribution are explained. On the basis of the analysis performed, the tautomeric composition of adenine in water is revealed. It is shown that the Ade-N(9),N(1)H(+) cation is the predominant form and that some neutral forms of Ade-N(9)H and Ade-N(7)H tautomers exist in water at pH 3.  相似文献

Polyampholites are synthesized by the alkylation of poly-4-vinylpyridine with ω-bromocarboxylic acids, and their interaction with the negatively charged bilayer lipid vesicles (liposomes) is studied. In the above polymers, quaternized pyridine units are zwitterion (betaine) groups, in which cationic and anionic groups are linked by the -(CH2) n -bridges. Via the methods of fluorescence, laser scattering, and DSC, the length of the ethylene spacer in the betaine group is shown to control the ability of the polymer to interact with anionic liposomes and induce structural rearrangements in the liposomal membrane. At n = 1, polybetaine is not linked to anionic liposomes. At n = 2, polybetaine is sorbed on the membrane, but it causes no dramatic structural rearrangements in the bilayer. At n = 3, the adsorption of polybetaine triggers the lateral segregation of lipids in the outer membrane layer. At n = 5, adsorption of polymer is accompanied by the lateral segregation and flip-flop of lipid molecules; as a result, all anionic membrane lipids are involved in the microphase separation. This evidence is of evident interest for the controlled design of polymers and related complexes and conjugates for biomedical applications.  相似文献
