In the present study, we successfully prepared two different electrospun polyacrylonitrile (PAN) based-activated carbon nanofiber (ACNF) composites by incorporation of well-distributed Fe2O3 and Co3O4 nanoparticles (NPs). The influence of metal oxide on the structural, morphological, and textural properties of final composites was thoroughly investigated. The results showed that the morphological and textural properties could be easily tuned by changing the metal oxide NPs. Even though, the ACNF composites were not chemically activated by any activation agent, they presented relatively high surface areas (SBET) calculated by Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) equation as 212.21 and 185.12 m2/g for ACNF/Fe2O3 and ACNF/Co3O4 composites, respectively. Furthermore, the ACNF composites were utilized as candidate adsorbents for CO2 and CH4 adsorption. The ACNF/Fe2O3 and ACNF/Co3O4 composites resulted the highest CO2 adsorption capacities of 1.502 and 2.166 mmol/g at 0 °C, respectively, whereas the highest CH4 adsorption capacities were obtained to be 0.516 and 0.661 mmol/g at 0 °C by ACNF/Fe2O3 and ACNF/Co3O4 composites, respectively. The isosteric heats calculated lower than 80 kJ/mol showed that the adsorption processes of CO2 and CH4 were mainly dominated by physical adsorption for both ACNF composites. Our findings indicated that ACNF-metal oxide composites are useful materials for designing of CO2 and CH4 adsorption systems.  相似文献

Thermoresponsive hydrogels with efficient water‐release channels were prepared by incorporating star‐shaped macromolecular pore precursors, with degradable disulfide crosslinked cores and hydrophilic poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) arms, into the gel network. The gel framework exhibiting lower critical solution temperature (LCST) behavior was synthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of 2‐(2‐methoxyethoxy)ethyl methacrylate and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate. The incorporation of degradable star macromolecules (dSM) was facilitated by growing the gel from ATRP initiator sites contained within their cores. Following the formation of the gel, the dSM cores were degraded, yielding uniform pores lined with hydrophilic PEO chains. The effect of hydrophilic pores on thermoresponsive hydrogel performances was studied by comparing hydrogels containing hydrophilic pores with analogous hydrogels with neutral pores or with pore‐free controls. Dye absorption/release experiments pointed to the suitability of newly synthesized hydrogels as controlled‐release media, for example, for drug delivery. Cell culture experiments confirmed their nontoxicity and biocompatibility (cell viability>98 %).  相似文献

A critical process in brass casting is blending of the raw materials in a furnace so that the specified metal ratios are satisfied. The uncertainties in raw material compositions may cause violations of the specification limits and extra cost. In this study, we proposed a chance-constrained stochastic programming approach for blending problem in brass casting industry to handle the statistical variations in raw material compositions. The proposed approach is a non-linear mathematical model that is solved global optimally by using GAMS/BARON solver. An application has been performed in MKEK brass factory in Kırıkkale, Turkey and the solution of the application has been compared with alternative solution approaches based on cost and specification violation risk conditions. This comparison demonstrates that the proposed model is the most effective solution approach for managing stochastic uncertainties in blending problems and successfully can be used other industries such as alloy steel or secondary aluminum production.  相似文献

A novel fiber optic spectrophotometric method for nitrite determination in different samples is suggested, based on the reaction of nitrite with Safranin O in acidic medium to form a diazo-safranin, which is subsequently coupled with pyrogallol in alkaline medium to form a highly stable, red azo dye, followed by cloud point extraction (CPE) using a mixed micelle of a nonionic surfactant, Triton X-114, with an anionic surfactant, sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS). The reaction and extraction conditions (e.g., acidity for diazotization and alkalinity for pyrogallol coupling, and other reagent concentrations, time, and tolerance to other ions) were optimized. Linearity was obeyed in a concentration range up to 230 μg L−1, and the detection limit of the method is 0.5 μg L−1 of nitrite ion. The molar absorptivity for nitrite of the Safranin-diazonium salt (?610 nm = 4 × 103 L mol−1 cm−1) existing in literature was greatly enhanced by pyrogallol coupling and CPE enrichment (?592 nm = 1.39 × 105 L mol−1 cm−1). The method was applied to the determination of nitrite in tap water, lake water and milk samples with an optimal preconcentration factor of 20.  相似文献

In this work, we demonstrate an integrated sensor combining a grating-coupled plasmon resonance surface with a planar photodiode. Plasmon enhanced transmission is employed as a sensitive refractive index (RI) sensing mechanism. Enhanced transmission of light is monitored via the integrated photodiode by tuning the angle of incidence of a collimated beam near the sharp plasmon resonance condition. Slight changes of the effective refractive index (RI) shift the resonance angle, resulting in a change in the photocurrent. Owing to the planar sensing mechanism, the design permits a high areal density of sensing spots. In the design, absence of holes that facilitate resonant transmission of light, allows an easy-to-implement fabrication procedure and relative insensitivity to fabrication errors. Theoretical and experimental results agree well. An equivalent long-term RI noise of 6.3 × 10(-6) RIU/√Hz is obtained by using an 8 mW He-Ne laser, compared to a shot-noise limited theoretical sensitivity of 5.61 × 10(-9) RIU/√Hz. The device features full benefits of grating-coupled plasmon resonance, such as enhancement of sensitivity for non-zero azimuthal angle of incidence. Further sensitivity enhancement using balanced detection and optimal plasmon coupling conditions are discussed.  相似文献

We consider the problem faced by managers of critical civil interdependent infrastructure systems of restoring essential public services after a non-routine event causes disruptions to these services. In order to restore the services, we must determine the set of components (or tasks) that will be temporarily installed or repaired, assign these tasks to work groups, and then determine the schedule of each work group to complete the tasks assigned to it. These restoration planning and scheduling decisions are often undertaken in an independent, sequential manner. We provide mathematical models and optimization algorithms that integrate the restoration and planning decisions and specifically account for the interdependencies between the infrastructure systems. The objective function of this problem provides a measure of how well the services are being restored over the horizon of the restoration plan, rather than just focusing on the performance of the systems after all restoration efforts are complete. We test our methods on realistic data representing infrastructure systems in New York City. Our computational results demonstrate that we can provide integrated restoration and scheduling plans of high quality with limited computational resources. We also discuss the benefits of integrating the restoration and scheduling decisions.  相似文献

We consider the problem of restoring services provided by infrastructure systems after an extreme event disrupts them. This research proposes a novel integrated network design and scheduling problem that models these restoration efforts. In this problem, work groups must be allocated to build nodes and arcs into a network in order to maximize the cumulative weighted flow in the network over a horizon. We develop a novel heuristic dispatching rule that selects the next set of tasks to be processed by the work groups. We further propose families of valid inequalities for an integer programming formulation of the problem, one of which specifically links the network design and scheduling decisions. Our methods are tested on realistic data sets representing the infrastructure systems of New Hanover County, North Carolina in the United States and lower Manhattan in New York City. These results indicate that our methods can be used in both real-time restoration activities and long-term scenario planning activities. Our models are also applied to explore the effects on the restoration activities of aligning them with the goals of an emergency manager and to benchmark existing restoration procedures.  相似文献

In this study, 4‐{2‐(2‐thienyl)ethoxy}phthalonitrile ( 3 ) and its tetra substituted peripherally metal‐free ( 4 ), lead (II) ( 5 ), magnesium (II) ( 6 ), and cobalt (II) ( 7 ) phthalocyanines were synthesized. The structural characterization of the obtained compounds was performed by a combination of FTIR, 1H‐NMR, UV–vis, and MALDI‐TOF techniques. The inhibitory properties of these compounds were determined using Ingkaninan's methods against cholinesterase enzymes. Compound ( 7 ) had the highest enzyme inhibitory effect toward AChE and BuChE enzymes with IC50 values of 23.71 ± 0.39 and 27.29 ± 0.22 μM, respectively. The enzyme kinetic study of compound ( 7 ) demonstrated noncompetitive AChE inhibition and uncompetitive BuChE inhibition. The Ki values of compound ( 7 ) against AChE and BuChE were found to 39.15 and 7.25 μM, respectively. In the tested compounds, ( 7 ) deserves further investigation for potential therapeutic candidates of Alzheimer's disease.  相似文献

In this study, the synthesis of new monostyryl (BDPY-2) and distyryl BODIPY dyes (BDPY-4, BDPY-5) containing pyridine groups has been reported for the first time. The acetylcholinesterase from Electrophorus electricus (AChE), butyrylcholinesterase from equine serum (BuChE), α-glucosidase from Saccharomyces cerevisiae and DNA hydrolytic cleavage actions of BDPY-2, BDPY-4, BDPY-5 were investigated using various techniques. The results indicated that the compounds had varying inhibition properties against AChE, BuChE, and α-glucosidase. BDPY-4 was the most potent compound on AChE with IC50 of 54.78 ± 4.51 µM, and Lineweaver–Burk plots indicated that the compound is bound to a site other than the active site as a noncompetitive inhibitor. The compound-protein binding experiment showed that BDPY-4 changed the microenvironment around AChE. On the other hand, the compounds showed lower α-glucosidase inhibition than the positive control. The DNA hydrolytic cleavage effects were not observed on supercoiled plasmid DNA in the presence of the compounds as compared to negative controls. These findings suggested that BDPY-4 might be a promising compound to treat Alzheimer’s diseases.  相似文献
