Synthesis and structure of copper(II) 3-(3′,5′-Di-<Emphasis Type="Italic">tert</Emphasis>-butyl-4′-hydroxybenzyl)acetylacetonate

Copper(II) 3-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzyl)acetylacetonate was prepared, and its molecular and crystal structure were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. There are two crystallographically independent molecules of the complex in the crystal. In the first molecule, the square planar coordination of Cu(II) is virtually ideal, and in the second molecule it is somewhat distorted. On the whole, the conformations of the independent molecules are similar. The ESR spectrum of the polycrystalline complex suggests magnetic coupling of the Cu atoms and magnetic ordering. In solution in coordination-inert toluene, heating increases the contribution of tetrahedral distortions. Structure and intermolecular interactions of <Emphasis Type="Italic">N</Emphasis>-(3,5-di-<Emphasis Type="Italic">tert</Emphasis>-butyl-4-hydroxybenzyl)thioureas

The molecular and crystal structure and the hydrogen bonding in crystal and in solutions of N-phenyl-N-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzyl)thiourea and N-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4- hydroxybenzyl)thiourea were studied by single crystal X-ray diffraction and IR spectroscopy. Triterpene glycosides ofHerniaria glabra. I

Conclusions FromHerniaria glabra L. two triterpene glycosides, glabrosides B and C, have been isolated. We have shown that the first is the -D-glucopyranosyl-(16)--D-glucopyranoside, and the second is the Khimiya Prirodnykh Soedinenii, Vol. 6, No. 3, pp. 307–311, 1970     

Synthesis and Antioxidative Properties of Bis(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) Polysulfides

An efficient procedure was developed for preparing bis(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) polysulfides in the presence of phenolic Mannich bases. The antioxidative activity of the resulting bis(polysulfides) in rubbers of various structures and in their vulcanizates was examined.     

Crystal and Molecular Structure of 2,4,6-Tris(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzyl)resorcinol

The structure of 2,4,6-tris(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzyl)resorcinol in the crystal is virtually identical to that of 1,3,5-tris(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzyl)mesitylene, which is an effective antioxidant.     

Two new eudesmane derivatives from Verbesina virginica

<正>Two new eudesmane derivatives were isolated from the leaves and flowers of Verbesina virginica,along with the known 6-O-β-E -p-coumaroyl-4α-hydroxyeudesmane(1).Their structures were determined as 6-O-β-Z-p-coumaroyl-4α-hydroxyeudesmane(2) and 6-O-α-E-p-coumaroyl-1β-4α-dihydroxyeudesmane(3) by spectroscopic methods.
