Combining the constraints of Kähler differential geometry with the universality of the normal coordinate expansion in the background field method, we study the ultraviolet behavior of 2-dimensional supersymmetric non-linear -models with target space an arbitrary riemannian manifoldM. We show that the constraint ofN=2 supersymmetry requires that all counterterms to the metric beyond one-loop order be cohomologically trivial. It follows that such supersymmetric non-linear -models defined on locally symmetric spaces are super-renormalizable and thatN=4 models are on-shell ultraviolet finite to all orders of perturbation theory. 相似文献

A comparison is made between phased arrays and mechanical sector scanners in transcutaneous echocardiographic applications. Aspects such as contact area, beam control, side lobes, grating lobes and image quality are discussed in the context of transducer frequency. The incorporation of simultaneous acquisition of Doppler velocity information and display of M-mode signals is considered. Transoesophageal and intraoperative scanning systems for cardiology are also compared, in particular linear arrays, phased arrays and mechanical scanners, and their advantages and disadvantages in relation to the above mentioned aspects are discussed. The general conclusion is that electronic sector scanners may have a considerably improved cost/benefit ratio in the near future and thereby will become the leading systems for echocardiography. 相似文献

We provide a coherent interpretation of early small angle scattering experiments performed by some of us on amorphous ErCo2 [9]. At low temperature the zero field transverse spin-spin correlation function is found to fit a simple exponential for large length scales (l >lc), supporting the lower critical dimensionality dc=4. For shorter length scales (l<lc) the correlation function is of the Ornstein-Zernike type. These results are physically understood in terms of the breaking of ferromagnetism into Imry and Ma domains.A further physical interpretation leads us to consider the localization of ferromagnetic spin waves within Imry and Ma domains in zero field, and their delocalization by application of an external field. 相似文献

In the anisotropic ZrSe3?xSex compounds, the velocity of acoustic waves propagating in a direction parallel to the fibers decreases linearly as the Selenium content is progressively increased for 0 < x < 2; in this region of composition two acoustic waves with different velocities are observed. For x > 2, following an increase of velocity, only one acoustic wave is likely to be propagated with a nearly constant velocity. The neutrino parameters determined from the solar neutrino data and the anti-neutrino parameters determined from KamLAND reactor experiment are in good agreement with each other. However, the best fit points of the two sets differ from each other by about 10−5 eV2 in mass-square difference and by about 2° in the mixing angle. Future solar neutrino and reactor anti-neutrino experiments are likely to reduce the uncertainties in these measurements. This, in turn, can lead to a signal for CPT violation in terms a non-zero difference between neutrino and anti-neutrino parameters. In this paper, we propose a CPT violating mass matrix which can give rise to the above differences in both mass-squared difference and mixing angle and study the constraints imposed by the data on the parameters of the mass matrix. 相似文献
