Binding of gold nanoparticles (Au-NP) at amine-functionalised multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) is proposed. The MWNTs are functionalised with acylchloride groups, which further react with ethylenediamine to form amine-functionalised MWCNTs. These amines are able to bind preformed colloidal Au-NPs. The Au/MWNT composite material facilitates electron-transfer reactions with free-diffusing redox compounds.  相似文献

We report on the probing of the Pt surface for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) by insertion of Ag. Therefore, PtAg bimetallic nanoparticles were prepared by pulse electrodeposition. In a second step, Ag was electro‐dissolved in acidic media from the particles under formation of Pt skeleton. The ORR activity of these Pt skeleton depends on two factors: (1) on the surface properties of the Pt‐shell and (2) on the electronic as well as geometric influences of the remaining Ag in the particle core. By varying the conditioning procedure prior to measuring the ORR activity, we were able to differentiate between these two effects.  相似文献

A multimodal approach for hydrogel-based nanoparticles was developed to selectively allow molecular conjugated species to either be released inside the cell or remain connected to the polymer network. Using the intrinsic difference in reactivity between esters and amides, nanogels with an amide-conjugated dye could be tracked intracellularly localizing next to the nucleus, while ester-conjugation allowed for liberation of the molecular species from the hydrogel network inside the cell, enabling delivery throughout the cytoplasm. The release was a result of particle exposure to the intracellular environment. The conjugation approach and polymer network building rely on the same chemistry and provide a diverse range of possibilities to be used in nanomedicine and theranostic approaches.  相似文献

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a cancer of the myeloid lineage of blood cells, and treatment for AML is lengthy and can be very expensive. Medicinal plants and their bioactive molecules are potential candidates for improving human health. In this work, we studied the effect of Ptychotis verticillata (PV) essential oil and its derivatives, carvacrol and thymol, in AML cell lines. We demonstrated that a combination of carvacrol and thymol induced tumor cell death with low toxicity on normal cells. Mechanistically, we highlighted that different molecular pathways, including apoptosis, oxidative, reticular stress, autophagy, and necrosis, are implicated in this potential synergistic effect. Using quantitative RT-PCR, Western blotting, and apoptosis inhibitors, we showed that cell death induced by the carvacrol and thymol combination is caspase-dependent in the HL60 cell line and caspase-independent in the other cell lines tested. Further investigations should focus on improving the manufacturing of these compounds and understanding their anti-tumoral mechanisms of action. These efforts will lead to an increase in the efficiency of the oncotherapy strategy regarding AML.  相似文献

The 103Ag nucleus has been studied using the 103Rh(α, 4nγ)103Ag and 103Rh(3He, 3nγ)103Ag reactions. A set of standard in-beam measurements involving relative excitation function measurements of γ-rays, γ-γ-Δt coincidences, conversion electron measurements and angular distribution and linear polarization measurements of emitted γ-rays have been performed. Excited states with spin values up to 272 are populated in this nucleus. Among these excitations a positive-parity band built on the Jπ = 72+or92+ state can be distinguished. This band has similar properties as the band observed in 105Ag. The experimental data on the band in 103, 105Ag are compared to the prediction of the Nilsson model with Coriolis coupling at intermediate deformation ε = 0.10?0.15. Energy levels of the positive-parity bands are reproduced satisfactorily by the calculations assuming either a K = 72+ [413] or K = 92+ [404] band head. However, electromagnetic properties of the levels, branching and mixing ratios, are better reproduced when assuming the K = 72+ band head. Attenuation of the Coriolis interaction was introduced in order to improve the fit of the calculated energies of the levels to the experimental values.  相似文献

This report reviews the experimental investigation of high energy e+e? interactions by the MARK J collaboration at PETRA, the electron-positron colliding beam accelerator at DESY in Hamburg, Germany. The physics objectives include studies of several purely electromagnetic processes and hadronic final states, which further our knowledge of the nature of the fundamental constituents and of their strong, electromagnetic and weak interactions. Before discussing the physics results, the main features and the principal components of the MARK J detector are discussed in terms of design, function, and performance. Several aspects of the on-line data collection and the off-line analysis are also outlined. Results are presented on tests of quantum electrodynamics using e+e? → e+e?, μ+μ? and τ+τ?, on the measurement of R, the ratio of the hadronic to the point-like muon pair cross section, on the search for new quark flavors, on the discovery of three jet events arising from the radiation of hard noncollinear gluons as predicted by quantum chromodynamics, and on the determination of the strong coupling constant αs.  相似文献
