We describe current-voltage (I-V) characteristics of alkyl-ligated gold nanocrystals ~5 nm arrays in a long screening length limit. Arrays with different alkyl ligand lengths have been prepared to tune the electronic tunnel coupling between the nanocrystals. For long ligands, electronic diffusion occurs through sequential tunneling and follows activated laws, as a function of temperature σ∝e(-T(0)/T) and as a function of electric field I∝e(-E(0)/E). For better conducting arrays, i.e., with small ligands, the transport properties cross over to the cotunneling regime and follow Efros-Shklovskii laws as a function of temperature σ∝e(-(T(ES)/T)(1/2) and as a function of electric field I∝e(-(E)(ES)/E)(1/2). The data show that electronic transport in nanocrystal arrays can be tuned from the sequential tunneling to the cotunneling regime by increasing the tunnel barrier transparency.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to understand the mechanisms occurring during the ultrasonication of the copolymer poly(vinylidenedifluoride-trifluoroethylene). In these experimental conditions, the polymer adopts a core–shell structure and its hydrodynamic diameter is measured by dynamic light scattering. The results show that, without covalent bonds breakage, the hydrodynamic diameter decreases with ultrasonication time and a smaller size population appears. This evolution is reversible in a matter of days. A new two-step mechanism is proposed to describe this phenomenon: first the erosion of a core–shell structure and second the contraction of the core. Beyond shedding a new light on the phenomena occurring during the sonication of polymers used in nanocomposites elaboration, this work also strongly questions the traditional techniques used to study the degradation of polymers, which use the hydrodynamic diameter measurement to determine the molecular weight.  相似文献

The isobutyl side chain is a highly prevalent hydrophobic group in drugs, and it notably constitutes the side chain of leucine. Its replacement by a hexafluorinated version containing two CF3 groups may endow the target compound with new and advantageous properties, yet this modification remains overlooked due to the absence of a general and practical synthetic methodology. Herein, we report the first general method to introduce the hexafluoroisobutyl group into ketoesters, malonates, 1,3-diketones, Schiff base esters and malononitrile. We demonstrated that the reaction occurs through an elimination/allylic shift/hydrofluorination cascade process which efficiently overcomes the usual fluoride β-elimination observed with α-CF3-vinyl groups. We showed that with alkali metal bases, a pentafluorinated alkene is obtained predominantly, whereas the use of tetrabutylammonium fluoride (TBAF) allows hydrofluorination to occur. This tandem process represents a conceptually new pathway to synthesize bis-trifluoromethylated compounds. This methodology was applied to the multigram-scale synthesis of enantiopure (S)-5,5,5,5′,5′,5′-hexafluoroleucine.

Hexafluoroisobutylation of ketoesters, malonates, diketones, Schiff base esters and malononitrile is reported. The reaction involves an elimination/allylic shift/hydrofluorination cascade process that efficiently overcomes the usual SN2′ mechanism.  相似文献

We study asymptotics of fiber integrals depending on a large parameter. When the critical fiber is singular, full-asymptotic expansions are established in two different cases: local extremum and isolated real principal type singularities. The main coefficients are computed and invariantly expressed. In the most singular cases, it is shown that the leading term of the expansion is related to invariant measures on the spherical blow-up of the singularity. The results can be applied to certain degenerate oscillatory integrals which occur in spectral analysis and quantum mechanics.  相似文献

It is shown that a modified version of Firsov's theory of the electronic stopping power, dE/dx, is a convenient formalism for studying departures from Bragg's Rule for composite targets. Within the procedures of this theory molecular hydrogen targets are compared with atomic hydrogen targets, and it is shown that Bragg's rule overestimates dE/dx for protons incident on molecular hydrogen by 11% at low proton velocities. A geometrical interpretation is given to the predicted chemical effects on dE/dx.  相似文献

We present a novel multiplex PCR assay for simultaneous detection of multiple transgenic events in maize. Initially, five PCR primers pairs specific to events Bt11, GA21, MON810, and NK603, and Zea mays L. (alcohol dehydrogenase) were included. The event specificity was based on amplification of transgene/plant genome flanking regions, i.e., the same targets as for validated real-time PCR assays. These short and similarly sized amplicons were selected to achieve high and similar amplification efficiency for all targets; however, its unambiguous identification was a technical challenge. We achieved a clear distinction by a novel CGE approach that combined the identification by size and color (CGE-SC). In one single step, all five targets were amplified and specifically labeled with three different fluorescent dyes. The assay was specific and displayed an LOD of 0.1% of each genetically modified organism (GMO). Therefore, it was adequate to fulfill legal thresholds established, e.g., in the European Union. Our CGE-SC based strategy in combination with an adequate labeling design has the potential to simultaneously detect higher numbers of targets. As an example, we present the detection of up to eight targets in a single run. Multiplex PCR-CGE-SC only requires a conventional sequencer device and enables automation and high throughput. In addition, it proved to be transferable to a different laboratory. The number of authorized GMO events is rapidly growing; and the acreage of genetically modified (GM) varieties cultivated and commercialized worldwide is rapidly increasing. In this context, our multiplex PCR-CGE-SC can be suitable for screening GM contents in food.  相似文献

The chemical variability and the in vitro anti-inflammatory activity of the leaf essential oil from Ivorian Isolona dewevrei were investigated for the first time. Forty-seven oil samples were analyzed using a combination of CC, GC(RI), GC-MS and 13C-NMR, thus leading to the identification of 113 constituents (90.8–98.9%). As the main components varied drastically from sample to sample, the 47 oil compositions were submitted to hierarchical cluster and principal components analyses. Three distinct groups, each divided into two subgroups, were evidenced. Subgroup I−A was dominated by (Z)-β-ocimene, β-eudesmol, germacrene D and (E)-β-ocimene, while (10βH)-1β,8β-oxido-cadina-4-ene, santalenone, trans-α-bergamotene and trans-β-bergamotene were the main compounds of Subgroup I−B. The prevalent constituents of Subgroup II−A were germacrene B, (E)-β-caryophyllene, (5αH,10βMe)-6,12-oxido-elema-1,3,6,11(12)-tetraene and γ-elemene. Subgroup II−B displayed germacrene B, germacrene D and (Z)-β-ocimene as the majority compounds. Germacrene D was the most abundant constituent of Group III, followed in Subgroup III−A by (E)-β-caryophyllene, (10βH)-1β,8β-oxido-cadina-4-ene, germacrene D-8-one, and then in Subgroup III−B by (Z)-β-ocimene and (E)-β-ocimene. The observed qualitative and quantitative chemical variability was probably due to combined factors, mostly phenology and season, then harvest site to a lesser extent. The lipoxygenase inhibition by a leaf oil sample was also evaluated. The oil IC50 (0.020 ± 0.005 mg/mL) was slightly higher than the non-competitive lipoxygenase inhibitor NDGA IC50 (0.013 ± 0.003 mg/mL), suggesting a significant in vitro anti-inflammatory potential.  相似文献
