The superconducting and normal state properties are reviewed for exemplary matrix-impurity systems in the three distinct regimes of magnetic character of the impurity which have been identified. It is shown that these three regimes can be distinguished by thedetailed behavior of the depressions of 1) the superconducting transition temperatureT c as a function of impurity concentrationn and 2) the specific heat jump ΔC atT c as a function ofT c . These systematics of superconductivity in the presence of local moments appear to be sufficiently well established that it is possible to 1) ascertain whether the solute spin is long-lived (magnetic) or short-lived (nonmagnetic) compared to thermal fluctuation lifetimes at superconducting temperatures, 2) determine the sign and magnitude of the conduction electron-impurity spin exchange interaction parameter ϑ and the temperature dependence of the exchange scattering of conduction electrons bylong-lived solute spins, 3) derive, in favorable cases, information pertaining to the energy level structure of rare earth ions in the crystalline electric field of their superconducting metallic host, and 4) observe magnetic-nonmagnetic transitions of an impurity induced by the application of an external pressure or variation of the composition of a binary alloy matrix. Thermoreflectance spectra for Ec and Ec were measured on a Gd single crystal. The thermoconductance spectra, Δσ and Δσt], are very anisotropic. The strong interband edge at about 0.5 eV is shown to arise from a transition to or from the Fermi level for Ec. For Ec additional effects occur.  相似文献

The JINR (Dubna)-IN2P3 (France) Collaboration project aimed at the α, β γ, spectroscopy of the transfermium element isotopes using heavy-ion beams of the U-400 cyclotron and the modernized recoil separator VASSILISSA was launched at Dubna. During the first full-scale experiment in September–October 2004, nobelium and lawrencium isotopes produced in the 48Ca + 207,208Pb → 255,256No* and 48Ca + 209Bi → 257Lr* reactions were studied. Present status of the experiment TGV II which is devoted to the measurement of double-beta decay of 106Cd is given. The low background spectrometer TGV II is installed in the Modane Underground Laboratory and has been running from February 2005 with approx 10 grams of 106Cd enriched at 75%. After an analysis of 3736 hours of experimental data the new improved half-life limit for 2νEC/EC decay of 106Cd (0 g.s. + → 0 g.s. + ) is given as T 1 2/2ν > 4.8 × 1019 years (90% CL). The search for 2νEC/EC decay of 106Cd to the excited states of 106Pd allows to determine the limits of the half-lives T 1 2/2ν (0 g.s. + → 2 1 + ) > 3.9 × 1019 years (90% CL) and T 1 2/2ν (0 g.s. + → 0 1 + ) > 5.8 × 1019 years (90% CL). We have investigated the spectral properties of a band rejection filter made with a long-period fiber grating written in photonic crystal fiber that has interstitial air holes. Experiments showed that only one mode was coupled strongly to the fundamental core mode over a 600 nm spectral range. The central wavelength of the filter could be tuned over that range without being appreciably affected by any other mode. By using the multipole method, we found that the interstitial air holes of the photonic crystal fiber played a critical role in limiting the number of modes that could strongly interact with the fundamental mode and in obtaining well-separated resonance peaks. Excellent agreement between theory and experiment was obtained.  相似文献

In this paper we study the asymptotic behavior of mesoscopic fluctuations for the thinned Circular Unitary Ensemble. The effect of thinning is that the eigenvalues start to decorrelate. The decorrelation is stronger on the larger scales than on the smaller scales. We investigate this behavior by studying mesoscopic linear statistics. There are two regimes depending on the scale parameter and the thinning parameter. In one regime we obtain a CLT of a classical type and in the other regime we retrieve the CLT for CUE. The two regimes are separated by a critical line. On the critical line the limiting fluctuations are no longer Gaussian, but described by infinitely divisible laws. We argue that this transition phenomenon is universal by showing that the same transition and their laws appear for fluctuations of the thinned sine process in a growing box. The proofs are based on a Riemann-Hilbert problem for integrable operators.  相似文献
