We report measurements of branching fractions for charged and neutral B-->eta(c)K decays where the eta(c) meson is reconstructed in the K(0)(S)K+/-pi(-/+), K+K-pi(0), K(*0)K-pi(+), and pp; decay channels. The neutral B0 channel is a CP eigenstate and can be used to measure the CP violation parameter sin(2phi(1). We also report the first observation of the B0-->eta(c)K(*0) mode. The results are based on an analysis of 29.1 fb(-1) of data collected by the Belle detector at KEKB.  相似文献

We investigate the energy spectra of clean incommensurate double-walled carbon nanotubes, and find that the overall spectral properties are described by the critical statistics similar to that known in the Anderson metal-insulator transition. In the energy spectra, there exist three different regimes characterized by Wigner-Dyson, Poisson, and semi-Poisson distributions. This feature implies that the electron transport in incommensurate multiwalled nanotubes can be either diffusive, ballistic, or intermediate between them, depending on the position of the Fermi energy.  相似文献

The Modulation Sideband Technology for Absolute Ranging (MSTAR) sensor permits absolute distance measurement with subnanometer accuracy, an improvement of 4 orders of magnitude over current techniques. The system uses fast phase modulators to resolve the integer cycle ambiguity of standard interferometers. The concept is described and demonstrated over target distances up to 1 m. The elastic-scattering intensity pattern from a single particle as a function of spherical coordinate angles theta and phi provides detailed information on the pattern's morphology. By use of an ellipsoidal reflector and a CCD camera, a single-laser-shot intensity pattern from a large angular range (theta from 90 degrees to 168 degrees and phi from 0 degrees to 360 degrees) was detected from a single aerosol (e.g., a Bacillus subtilisspore, a 1-microm-diameter polystyrene latex sphere, or a cluster of either of these) flowing through the reflectors focal volume at 5 m/s. Noticeable difference in the large-angle-range two-dimensional angular optical scattering (LATAOS) suggest that the LATAOS pattern could be useful in differentiating and classifying life-threatening aerosols from normal background aerosols.  相似文献

An analytic theory for the Knudsen self-diffusivity D(s) of hard spheres in an atomically rough slit-shaped pore is presented which quantitatively matches simulation results. The theory assumes that, due to chaotic molecular trajectories caused by surface morphology, collisions of gas molecules with the wall are partly diffuse and partly specular, the relative magnitude of each depending upon the magnitude of the tangential momentum accommodation coefficient f. The theory thus represents a universal Knudsen fluctuation-dissipation correlation between longitudinal momentum loss and diffusivity that can simplify efforts to estimate D(s). It is also found that D(s) computed using Maxwell's theory of slip, in which collisions with the walls are assumed to be purely diffuse or specular, overpredicts the simulated D(s) by a large margin.  相似文献

We present exact calculations of flow polynomials F(G,q) for lattice strips of various fixed widths L y 4 and arbitrarily great lengths L x , with several different boundary conditions. Square, honeycomb, and triangular lattice strips are considered. We introduce the notion of flows per face fl in the infinite-length limit. We study the zeros of F(G,q) in the complex q plane and determine exactly the asymptotic accumulation sets of these zeros in the infinite-length limit for the various families of strips. The function fl is nonanalytic on this locus. The loci are found to be noncompact for many strip graphs with periodic (or twisted periodic) longitudinal boundary conditions, and compact for strips with free longitudinal boundary conditions. We also find the interesting feature that, aside from the trivial case L y =1, the maximal point, q cf , where crosses the real axis, is universal on cyclic and Möbius strips of the square lattice for all widths for which we have calculated it and is equal to the asymptotic value q cf =3 for the infinite square lattice.  相似文献

The anisotropy parameter (v(2)), the second harmonic of the azimuthal particle distribution, has been measured with the PHENIX detector in Au+Au collisions at sqrt[s(NN)]=200 GeV for identified and inclusive charged particle production at central rapidities (|eta|<0.35) with respect to the reaction plane defined at high rapidities (|eta|=3-4 ). We observe that the v(2) of mesons falls below that of (anti)baryons for p(T)>2 GeV/c, in marked contrast to the predictions of a hydrodynamical model.
