Summary It was found that cobalt is strongly retained on silica treated with a mixture of Aliquat 336 and nitroso-R-salt and can be separated by column extraction chromatography from cadmium, lead, zinc, mangan, nickel, copper and iron (III) which were eluted with 0.05M solution of perchloric acid. Cobalt was quantitatively eluted with 1 M perchloric acid and subsequently determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometry Cobalt was also concentrated from very dilute aqueous solutions by frontal analysis on small columns packed with the same sorbent, eluted together with a stationary phase with methanol and subsequently determined spectrophotometrically at 466nm; in this way a 500 fold concentration of cobalt was achieved permitting the determination of cobalt at the ppb level.  相似文献

Interactions of catecholamines with acidic sites in the biophase are likely to be involved in the control of the receptors activity as well as in storage and transport mechanisms. In view of the importance of the phenomena a model study of ethanolamine–phosphate complexes was made. The electrostatic interaction energy surface was calculated in the charge density multipole expansion approximation with terms up to quadrupole. The consecutive minimal energy conformation shows the importance for the interaction with the biophase of the catechol ring steric and electronic relation to the side chain.  相似文献

Attempting to explain the differences in the pharmacological profiles of the isomeric monohydroxy-and dihydroxy-2-aminotetralins (DHAT) which are potent dopaminergic agonists we have calculated the conformational energies of 2-aminotetralin and its N,N-dipropyl derivative using the QCFF/Pi and PCILO methods. Molecular electrostatic potential (MEP) maps based on ab initio (STO-3G) wave functions were computed for both dihydroxytetralins. Root-mean-square (rms) deviations from steric congruence between the enantiomeric 5,6- and 6,7-DHAT based either on atomic centers or on the minima in MEP near the putative points of attachment to the receptor are small, but may nevertheless be sufficient to cause differences in activity on subtypes of the dopamine receptor. N,N-dipropyl substitution influences the conformational energies of the skeleton and the preferences in the orientation of the propyl groups in the isomeric DHAT may be important for the interaction with the receptor. The HOMO energies of the isomeric HAT and DHAT do not correlate with their potencies.  相似文献

Association of a cationic surfactant cetylpyridinium chloride, CPC, with isotactic and atactic poly(methacrylic acid), i-PMA and a-PMA, respectively, in aqueous 0.01 M NaCl solutions was studied by pH and fluorescence measurements in conjunction with potentiometric studies using a surfactant-sensitive membrane electrode. pH measurements have demonstrated that the presence of an oppositely charged surfactant increases ionization of carboxyl groups on PMA at low degrees of neutralization. The increase is more pronounced in the case of i-PMA. The isotactic form of PMA is not soluble in water at zero degrees of neutralization but can be rendered soluble by the addition of CPC at the surfactant to a polyion molar ratio of around 0.4. In the solubilized complex, the positive charge of the CPC molecule is facing the polar solvent, whereas surfactant tails are oriented toward the i-PMA compact coil. Binding isotherms and cooperativity parameters show that chain tacticity has an important influence on the interaction of cetylpyridinium cation with polymethacrylate anion. At the onset of cooperative binding, the association is stronger with i-PMA than with the atactic form, as demonstrated by lower CAC values and higher values of the cooperativity parameters. In contrast, more surfactant is bound by a-PMA in the region where polyion becomes saturated with surfactant ions. Results are interpreted by taking into account local chain conformations as obtained from quantum mechanical semiempirical molecular orbital calculations. Greater hydrophobicity and possibly higher charge density of i-PMA on one hand and more flexibility of the a-PMA chain on the other are held responsible for these observations.  相似文献

Dengue and related flaviviruses represent a significant global health threat. The envelope glycoprotein E mediates virus attachment to a host cell and the subsequent fusion of viral and host cell membranes. The fusion process is driven by conformational changes in the E protein and is an essential step in the virus life cycle. In this study, we analyzed the pre-fusion and post-fusion structures of the dengue virus E protein to identify potential novel sites that could bind small molecules, which could interfere with the conformational transitions that mediate the fusion process. We used an in silico virtual screening approach combining three different docking algorithms (DOCK, GOLD and FlexX) to identify compounds that are likely to bind to these sites. Seven structurally diverse molecules were selected to test experimentally for inhibition of dengue virus propagation. The best compound showed an IC50 in the micromolar range against dengue virus type 2. In this paper we experimentally examine the dependence of the injection-locked range magnitude of a Fabry–Pérot (FP) laser on the linewidth of a seed laser. We measure the enhancement of the incident-power-dependent injection-locked range when changing the seed-light linewidth in three different ranges, starting with tens of GHz, then hundreds of MHz, and up to a few hundred kHz. We notice the progressive shrinkage of the locking range with an increase in the linewidth of the seed source. Simultaneously, the linewidth of a FP laser was measured and the cancellation of multiple longitudinal operating modes as well as a great reduction of linewidth are observed with a self-homodyne measurement.  相似文献

A lyotropic inverse micelle phase composed of water, thermotropic liquid-crystal octylcyanobiphenyl (8CB), and surfactant (DDAB) was studied by using high-resolution calorimetry on several mixtures with 3%, 8%, and 15% micelle concentration. Calorimetric results show strong depression of the isotropic to nematic (I-N) phase-transition temperature. Broad heat-capacity anomalies show the existence of a wide coexistence range of isotropic, nematic, and smectic-A phases, which mimics the behavior of a new nearly stable thermodynamic phase. An observation of the rather sharp almost bulklike nematic to smectic-A (N-A) transition at low-temperatures indicates that our heat capacity results are consistent with the phase separation scenario in which significant number of micelles is expelled during I-N conversion leaving almost pure nematic phase at lower temperatures. It was found that micelles get almost completely remixed on heating the mixture back to the isotropic phase.  相似文献

Illicium verum Hook f. (star anise) is considered an important species in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is also used in contemporary medicine in East Asian countries. It occurs in natural habitats in southeastern parts of China and Vietnam, and is cultivated in various regions in China. The raw materials—Anisi stellati fructus and Anisi stellati aetheroleum obtained from this species exhibit expectorant and spasmolytic activities. The European Pharmacopoeia (4th edition) indicates that these raw materials have been used in allopathy since 2002. The biological activities of the above-mentioned raw materials are determined by the presence of valuable secondary metabolites such as monoterpenoids, sesquiterpenoids, phenylpropanoids, and flavonoids. Recent pharmacological studies on fruit extracts and the essential oil of this species have confirmed their antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant activities and thus their medicinal and cosmetic value. The aim of this review was to examine the progress of phytochemical and pharmacological studies that focused on possible cosmetic applications. In addition to fruit extracts and essential oil, the current consensus on the safety of trans-anethole, which is the main compound of essential oil used in cosmetology, is underlined here.  相似文献

 Two new chelating sorbents for metal ions were prepared by the impregnation of chemically modified silicas LiChroprep RP-8 and RP-18 with ion pairs composed of the cation of Aliquat 336 and the anion of Calcon. The sorbents were compared with an analogous sorbent with a plain silica carrier containing the same ion pairs. A hypothesis for binding this ion pair by the surfaces of the applied carriers was presented. A higher stability of the two sorbents in comparison with that of the plain silica chelating sorbent was demonstrated. The sorbents obtained were applied for chromatographic separations of some chosen mixtures of some metal ions and for additional purification of aqueous solutions of alkali metals from trace amounts of heavy metals. The multiple use of the sorbents based on RP-8 and RP-18 in sorption–desorption processes of metal ions without deterioration of their sorption capacities was demonstrated. Received March 8, 2000.
