We demonstrate the fluorescence mapping of protein microarrays by the technique of scanning near-field optical microscopy
(SNOM) and confocal microscopy. Micron sized spots (300 μm) of human Immunoglobulin G (hIgG) protein with and without a Cy3
dye labeling have been fabricated on glass substrates by an immobilization method which makes use of calixcrown derivatives
termed Prolinker. We have also tried to probe into the well-known “doughnut effect” observed in fluorescence images of proteins
using the SNOM technique. The topographic and fluorescence SNOM images revealed that the number of proteins at the boundary
of the spot were more than at the center in the case of the microarray spot which showed brighter luminescence at the edge

The bipolar resistive switching mechanisms of a p-type NiO film and n-type TiO2 film were examined using local probe-based measurements. Scanning probe-based current–voltage (I–V) sweeps and surface potential/current maps obtained after the application of dc bias suggested that resistive switching is
caused mainly by the surface redox reactions involving oxygen ions at the tip/oxide interface. This explanation can be applied
generally to both p-type and n-type conducting resistive switching films. The contribution of oxygen migration to resistive

We report on the novel ternary hybrid materials consisting of semiconductor (TiO2), metal (Ag) and polymer (poly(oxyethylene methacrylate) (POEM)). First, a hydrophilic polymer, i.e. POEM, was grafted from TiO2 nanoparticles via the surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) technique. These TiO2-POEM brush nanoparticles were used to template the formation of Ag nanoparticles by introduction of a AgCF3SO3 precursor and a NaBH4 aqueous solution for reduction process. Successful grafting of polymeric chains from the surface of TiO2 nanoparticles and the in situ formation of Ag nanoparticles within the polymeric chains were confirmed using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), UV-vis spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). FT-IR spectroscopy also revealed the specific interaction of Ag nanoparticles with the CO groups of POEM brushes. This study presents a simple route for the in situ synthesis of both metal and polymer confined within the semiconductor, producing ternary hybrid inorganic-organic nanomaterials. 相似文献

Distributed antireflection (AR) layers with different composition ratios of ITO and SiO(2) formed on an ITO electrode of GaN-based LEDs provide substantial enhancement in light-extraction efficiency. By using the coradio frequency magnetron sputtering deposition, four 50 nm thick AR layers with graduated refractive indices were fabricated. The effect of the AR layers on enhancing the efficiency of the LED device was analyzed by electroluminescence (EL) and I-V measurements. As a result, the EL intensity of the LED device grown on the patterned sapphire substrate with AR layers was increased by up to 13% compared to the conventional patterned sapphire substrate-applied LED device without AR layers at a drive current of 20 mA. The AR layers on top of the LED device gradually changed the refractive indices between ITO (n=2.1) and air (n=1.0), which minimized the total internal reflection of generated light. And no degradation in the electrical characteristic of the LEDs was observed according to the I-V measurements. 相似文献

Cu2ZnSn(SxS1?x)4 (CZTSSe) thin films were prepared by annealing a stacked precursor prepared on Mo coated glass substrates by the sputtering technique. The stacked precursor thin films were prepared from Cu, SnS2, and ZnS targets at room temperature with stacking orders of Cu/SnS2/ZnS. The stacked precursor thin films were annealed using a tubular two zone furnace system under a mixed N2 (95%) + H2S (5%) + Se vaporization atmosphere at 580 °C for 2 h. The effects of different Se vaporization temperature from 250 °C to 500 °C on the structural, morphological, chemical, and optical properties of the CZTSSe thin films were investigated. X-ray diffraction patterns, Raman spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results showed that the annealed thin films had a single kesterite crystal structure without a secondary phase. The 2θ angle position for the peaks from the (112) plane in the annealed thin films decreased with increasing Se vaporization temperature. Energy dispersive X-ray results showed that the presence of Se in annealed thin films increased from 0 at% to 42.7 at% with increasing Se vaporization temperatures. UV–VIS spectroscopy results showed that the absorption coefficient of all the annealed thin films was over 104 cm?1 and that the optical band gap energy decreased from 1.5 eV to 1.05 eV with increasing Se vaporization temperature. 相似文献

We form ultracold Na2 molecules by single-photon photoassociation of a Bose-Einstein condensate, measuring the photoassociation rate, linewidth, and light shift of the J = 1, v = 135 vibrational level of the A1 Sigma (+)(u) molecular state. The photoassociation rate constant increases linearly with intensity, even where it is predicted that many-body effects might limit the rate. Our observations are in good agreement with a two-body theory having no free parameters. 相似文献
