Perron Conditions for Pointwise and Global Exponential Dichotomy of Linear Skew-Product Flows

The aim of this paper is to give necessary and sufficient conditions for pointwise and uniform exponential dichotomy of linear skew-product flows. We shall obtain that the pointwise exponential dichotomy of a linear skew-product flow is equivalent to the pointwise admissibility of the pair As a consequence, we prove that a linear skew-product flow on is uniformly exponentially dichotomic if and only if the pair is uniformly admissible for .     

Fano versus Kondo resonances in a multilevel "semiopen" quantum dot

Linear conductance across a large quantum dot via a single level epsilon(0) with large hybridization to the contacts is strongly sensitive to quasibound states localized in the dot and weakly coupled to epsilon(0). The conductance oscillates with the gate voltage due to interference of the Fano type. At low temperature and Coulomb blockade, Kondo correlations damp the oscillations on an extended range of gate voltage values, by freezing the occupancy of the epsilon(0) level itself. As a consequence, the antiresonances of Fano origin are washed out. The results are in good correspondence with experimental data for a large quantum dot in the semiopen regime.     

Exponential Expansiveness and Complete Admissibility For Evolution Families

Connections between uniform exponential expansiveness and complete admissibility of the pair are studied. A discrete version for a theorem due to Van Minh, Räbiger and Schnaubelt is presented. Equivalent characterizations of Perron type for uniform exponential expansiveness of evolution families in terms of complete admissibility are given.

Temperature field distribution in multi-layered solid media heated with multi-modes laser beam

In the present paper we want to develop an analytical model to study the thermal behavior of multi-layered solid media in interaction with a laser beam. We suppose that each layer has a constant thermal conductivity. We consider that the laser beam is formed by decoupled [Phys Rev A 1996; 53: 4435] multi-modes Hermite–Gauss beams. The model is applied using the classical heat equation which was solved using the integral transform method [Infrared Phys Technol 2002; 42: 31; Optics Laser Technol 2004; 36: 219–22; Optics Laser Technol 2004; 36: 677–9; Proc SPIE 2003; 5227: 323].
