We report the experimental realization of a new type of optical parametric oscillator in which oscillation is achieved by polarization rotation in a linear retarder, followed by nonlinear polarization mixing. The mixing is performed by a type II degenerate parametric downconversion in a periodically poled KTP crystal pumped by a 1064 nm pulsed Nd:YAG pump. A single, linearly polarized beam, precisely at the degenerate wavelength is generated. The output spectrum has a narrow linewidth (below the instrumentation bandwidth of 1 nm) and is highly stable with respect to variations in the crystal temperature.  相似文献

We effect a complete study of the thermodynamic formalism, the entropy spectrum of Birkhoff averages, and the ergodic optimization problem for a family of parabolic horseshoes. We consider a large class of potentials that are not necessarily regular, and we describe both the uniqueness of equilibrium measures and the occurrence of phase transitions for nonregular potentials in this class. Our approach consists in reducing the problems to the study of renewal shifts. We also describe applications of this approach to hyperbolic horseshoes as well as to noninvertible maps, both parabolic (with the Manneville-Pomeau map) and uniformly expanding. This allows us to recover in a unified manner several results scattered in the literature. For the family of hyperbolic horseshoes, we also describe the dimension spectrum of equilibrium measures of a class of potentials that are not necessarily regular. In particular, the dimension spectra need not be strictly convex.  相似文献

Summary.  We have investigated the effect of film preparation procedures on the photoluminescence efficiency of the luminescent co-polymer poly-(m-phenylene-co-2,5-dioctoxy-p-phenylenevinylene) (PmPV). The photoluminescence efficiency of PmPV films improved by up to 50% when the solution was degassed by bubbling argon gas through it prior to spin casting in an inert atmosphere and baking under vacuum. Photoinduced absorption and doping measurements show that this preparation method reduces polaron photogeneration, which reduces the photoluminescence (PL) yield through exciton quenching and excited state absorption. It is proposed that this sample preparation method increases interchain separation, reducing the formation of polarons and non-radiative quenching routes, thus resulting in increased PL efficiency. Reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) procedures are described for determining the stability of 2',3'-dideoxyadenosine (DDA) in biological fluids at therapeutic dosages. The validated methodology uses both direct injection and solid-phase extraction techniques. Deamination of DDA to 2',3'-dideoxyinosine (DDI) in plasma by adenosine deaminase was monitored by HPLC, and the identification of DDI verified by thermospray HPLC-mass spectrometry. This methodology should prove useful in future studies concerning the stability and metabolism of dideoxynucleosides.  相似文献
