We proceed here with our systematic study, initiated in [3], of multiscale problems with defects, within the context of homogenization theory. The case under consideration here is that of a diffusion equation with a diffusion coefficient of the form of a periodic function perturbed by an , , function modelling a localized defect. We outline the proof of the following approximation result: the corrector function, the existence of which has been established in [3], [4], allows us to approximate the solution to the original multiscale equation with essentially the same accuracy as in the purely periodic case. The rates of convergence may however vary, and are made precise, depending upon the integrability of the defect. The generalization to an abstract setting is mentioned. Our proof exactly follows, step by step, the pattern of the original proof of Avellaneda and Lin in [1] in the periodic case, extended in the works of Kenig and collaborators [12], and borrows a lot from it. The present work focuses on probing ultrafast charge migration after symmetry-breaking excitation using ultrashort laser pulses. LiCN is chosen as prototypical system because it can be oriented in the laboratory frame and it possesses optically-accessible charge transfer states at low energies. The charge migration is simulated within the hybrid time-dependent density functional theory/configuration interaction framework. Time-resolved electronic current densities and simulated time-resolved x-ray diffraction signals are used to unravel the mechanism of charge migration. Our simulations demonstrate that specific choices of laser polarization lead to a control over the symmetry of the induced charge migration. Moreover, time-resolved x-ray diffraction signals are shown to encode transient symmetry reduction at intermediate times. 相似文献

Valuable 1‐azabicycloalkane derivatives have been synthesized through a novel gold(I)‐catalyzed desulfonylative cyclization strategy. An ammoniumation reaction of ynones substituted at the 1‐position with an N‐sulfonyl azacycle took place in the presence of a gold cation by intramolecular cyclization of the disubstituted sulfonamide moiety onto the triple bond. Depending on the size of the heterocyclic ring and substitution of the substrates, two unprecedented forms of nucleophilic attack on the sulfonyl group were exploited, that is, a N‐desulfonylation in the presence of an external protic O nucleophile (37–87 %, 10 examples) and a unique N‐to‐O 1,5‐sulfonyl migration (60–98 %, 9 examples). 相似文献

Transgenic Arabidopsis plants were analyzed by liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) to investigate the glycosylation patterns of resveratrol derived from expression of a sorghum stilbene synthase gene. In negative ionization mode, the different resveratrol derivatives fragmented to yield the diagnostic deprotonated resveratrol ion at m/z 227.2. The use of precursor ion scanning led to the identification of precursor ions for different resveratrol glycosides through rapid differentiation from other phytochemical constituents. Structural information was generated simultaneously from the low-collision-energy product ion spectra using hybrid linear ion-trap mass spectrometry. Three additional resveratrol-related metabolites - a resveratrol diglucoside (M1) and trans- and cis-resveratrol acetylhexosides (M2 and M3) - were detected in the crude plant extracts. The identities of M1, M2, and M3 were confirmed by accurate mass analysis on a quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometer as well as beta-glucosidase digestion or UV-induced isomerization. Quantitative analyses by LC/MS in multiple reaction monitoring mode revealed that resveratrol diglucoside and cis-resveratrol acetyhexoside accumulated up to 2.79 and 10.38 microg/g, respectively, while trans-resveratrol acetylhexoside was barely detectable. This study demonstrated the power of the hybrid linear ion-trap technology for simultaneous profiling and structural characterization of stilbene-related metabolites, which would be useful to understand how resveratrol is modified in sorghum and other plants. 相似文献

We have investigated the nature of didodecyldimethylammonium bromide (DDAB)/water aggregates dispersed in 4-n-pentyl-4'-cyanobiphenyl thermotropic liquid crystal (5CB). The structure of this microemulsion has been probed by small-angle neutron and X-ray scattering experiments far above the nematic-to-isotropic phase transition temperature of the solvent. Our data show that the stability of this system is controlled by strong attractive van der Waals interactions between spherical inverted micelles. These interactions also explain why other swollen mesophases in related cosurfactant/DDAB/water/5CB phase diagrams are not observed. When approaching the isotropic-to-nematic phase transition, scattering experiments additionally confirm the predominance of an increasing attractive interaction due to the 5CB paranematic fluctuations. 相似文献

In the quasi-ternary CPCl/brine/hexanol lyotropic system, the interface of the lamellar and L3 sponge phases displays a phenomenon of epitaxy: the layers of the lamellar phase tend to make a constant non-trivial angle
with the interface. Thin samples of lamellar phase embedded in the sponge phase are thus submitted to oblique anchoring conditions
and defects are created in the lamellar phase in order to satisfy the bulk lamellar ordering and the boundary conditions.
We have studied small droplets of lamellar phase in the sponge phase. They do not exhibit the classic defects (focal conic domains) but wall defects, which appear in order to satisfy the smectic elasticity and the boundary
conditions. Moreover we show through experiments in controlled geometry that, even in the presence of focal conic domains,
wall defects control the size and periodicity of the textures which are observed at the interface.

A simple and rapid capillary electrophoresis with diode array detection method was developed for sepia ink identification in ancient graphic documents.Separation was performed in a fused-silica capillary (64.5 cm length, 50 μm i.d.). The running buffer was 20 mM sodium tetraborate solution, pH 9.2. The applied potential was 25 kV, temperature 25 °C and detection was at 220 nm. An appropriate extraction procedure was applied for the take and treatment of sample from the reference substances and ancient graphic documents. This method was successfully applied to the collection of drawings and maps from the Royal Chancellery Archives of Granada (Spain). 相似文献
