Operation of most tokamaks in limited byq a, the edge safety factor, which is usually about 2–3. In the SINP tokamak we have been able to obtain discharges withq a values as low as 0·8. La0.5Sr0.5CoO3-yttria-stabilized zirconia (LSCO-YSZ) composite cathode for solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) has been fabricated by wet impregnation method. Nitrate precursors of La, Sr, and Co have been impregnated into the pre-sintered porous YSZ matrix, which is converted into LSCO phase after calcination at 850 °C in the presence of glycine as confirmed from X-ray diffraction. LSCO of 5, 7, and 10 wt% impregnated porous YSZ have been electrochemically characterized using 2-probe AC conductivity method. Maximum ionic conductivity of 0.27 S/cm at 800 °C and activation energy of 0.15 eV between 600 and 800 °C have been observed for 10 wt% LSCO-YSZ cathode. Area-specific resistance of 1.01 Ω cm2 at 800 °C is estimated for the electrolyte-supported half-cell (10 wt% LSCO-YSZ/YSZ). After testing the LSCO-YSZ cathode matrix, the electrolyte-supported full cell (10 wt% LSCO-YSZ/YSZ/NiO-YSZ) has been tested and produced maximum power density 51.12 mW/cm2 (109.38 mA/cm2) at 800 °C. The electrolyte-supported full cell exhibited 6 Ω cm2 electrode polarization at 800 °C in H2, which is in higher side leading to low performance. LSCO-YSZ/YSZ/NiO-YSZ SOFC found to give stable performance up to 2 h and scanning electron microscopy analysis has been carried out before and after cell testing to assess the morphological changes.  相似文献

We show that a recently proposed [J. Fleischer, P.H. Diamond, Phys. Rev. E 58, R2709 (1998)] one-dimensional Burgers-like model for magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) is in effect identical to existing models for drifting lines and sedimenting lattices. We use the model to demonstrate, contrary to claims in the literature, that the energy spectrum of MHD turbulence should be independent of mean magnetic field and that cross-correlations between the noise sources for the velocity and magnetic fields cannot change the structure of the equations under renormalisation. We report the magnetic proximity effect in a ferrimagnetic Fe(3)O(4) core/ferrimagnetic γ-Mn(2)O(3) shell nanoparticle system, in terms of an enhancement of the Curie temperature (T(c)) of the γ-Mn(2)O(3) shell (~66 K) compared to its bulk value (~40 K), and the presence of magnetic ordering in its so-called paramagnetic region (i.e. above 66 K). The ferrimagnetic nature of both core and shell has been found from a neutron diffraction study. The origin of these two features of the magnetic proximity effect has been ascribed to the proximity of the γ-Mn(2)O(3) shell with a high-T(c) Fe(3)O(4) core (~858 K in bulk form) and an interface exchange coupling between core and shell. Interestingly, we did not observe any exchange bias effect, which has been interpreted as a signature of a weak interface exchange coupling between core and shell. The present study brings out the importance of the relative strength of the interface coupling in governing the simultaneous occurrence of the magnetic proximity effect and the exchange bias phenomenon in a single system.  相似文献

Polarized neutron reflectometry (PNR) is an ideal non-destructive tool for chemical and magnetic characterization of thin films and multilayers. We have installed a position sensitive detector-based polarized neutron reflectometer at Dhruva reactor, Trombay. In this paper we will discuss the results obtained from this instrument for two multilayer samples. The first sample is a (Ni-Mo alloy)/Ti multilayer sample. We have determined the chemical structure of this multilayer by unpolarized neutron reflectometry (NR). The other sample is a Fe/Ge multilayer sample for which we obtained the chemical structure by NR and magnetic moment per Fe atom by PNR.  相似文献

In this paper we check the validity of the ideas of double scaling as given by Ball and Forte in a semi inclusive process like production at HERA, in different kinematical regions, for low values of the Bjorken variable . In particular, we study production in the inelastic and diffractive (elastic) regimes using the double scaling form of the gluon distribution functions. We compare these predictions with data (wherever available) and with other standard parameterisations. We find that double scaling holds in the inelastic regime over a larger kinematic region than that given by the analysis of the proton structure function . However, in the diffractive region, double scaling seems to suggest an admixture of hard pomeron boundary conditions for the gluon distribution, while predicting a steeper rise in the cross section than suggested by present data. The level schemes and electromagnetic properties of 85Kr, 85Sr, 87Sr and 89Zr are calculated in a semi-microscopic model which couples the neutron hole motion in the N = 28–50 shell to the quadrupole and octupole vibrations of the core.
