Chemical constituents of the aerial parts of Kalidium foliatum

Studies on the chemical constituents of the aerial parts of Kalidium foliatum have led to the isolation of three new and one known compounds. The structures of new constituents have been elucidated through spectral studies including 2D-NMR experiments (HMQC, HMBC, COSY, NOESY and J-resolved) and MS/MS fragmentation using Q-TOF mass spectrometer equipped with an ESI source as kalidiumoside C (=3beta-hydroxy-29-methylmalonoxy-olean-12-en-23,28-dioic acid-23-methyl-28-beta-D-glucopyranosyl ester; 1), kalidiunin (=3beta,23,29-trihydroxy-olean-12-en-28-methyl-oate; 2) and kalidiumoside D (=3beta,23,29-trihydroxyolean-12-en-28-oic acid-beta-D-glucopyranosyl ester; 3). The known compound was identified as 3beta,23,29-trihydroxy-olean-12-en-28-oic acid 4) through comparison of its spectral data with those reported in literature. Acid hydrolysis of both 2 and 3 yielded the known compound 4 providing a conclusive evidence of the proposed structures.     

New cinnamic acid esters from Ocimum basilicum

Studies on the chemical constituents of the aerial parts of Ocimum basilicum have led to the isolation of a new ferulate, 4'-carbomethoxy-2'-hydroxy phenyl ferulate (1) and a new cinnamate, (E)-3'-hydroxy-4'-(1'-hydroxyethyl)-phenyl-4-methoxycinnamate (2). Their structures have been elucidated through spectral studies including 2D-NMR experiments (HMQC, HMBC, COSY-45 degrees , NOESY and 2D-J resolved).     

A new ethylene glycol triterpenoid from the leaves of Psidium guajava

One new pentacyclic triterpenoid psidiumoic acid (5) along with four known compounds beta-sitosterol (1), obtusol (2), oleanolic acid (3), and ursolic acid (4) have been isolated from the leaves of Psidium guajava. The new constituent 5 has been characterized as 2 alpha-glycolyl-3beta-hydroxyolean-12-en-28-oic acid through 2D NMR techniques. This is the first report of isolation of compound 2 from the genus Psidium.     

Arbutin derivatives from the seeds of Madhuca latifolia

A new arbutin derivative, madhuglucoside (1), along with three known arbutin derivatives were isolated from the seeds of Madhuca latifolia in addition to seven other known constituents. Their structures were established on the basis of spectral analysis. Compounds 1a, 2a and 3a were obtained in a pure state after acetylation of the mother fraction and characterized as their acetyl derivatives.     

Full-dimensional quantum dynamics study of the H + H2O and H + HOD exchange reactions

The initial state-selected time-dependent wave packet approach is employed to study the H' + H(2)O → H'OH + H and H' + HOD → H'OD + H, HOH' + D exchange reactions with both OH bonds in the H(2)O reactant and OH(D) bond in the HOD reactant treated as reactive bonds. The total reaction probabilities for different partial waves, as well as the integral cross sections, which are the exact CC (coupled-channel) results, are first obtained in this study for the H(2)O(HOD) reactant initially in the ground rovibrational state. Because of the shallow C(3v) minimum along the reaction path, the reaction probabilities for the three reactions present several resonance peaks, with one dominant resonance peak just above the threshold. The cross sections for the H' + HOD → HOH' + D reaction are substantially smaller than those for the H' + H(2)O → H'OH + H and H' + HOD → H'OD + H reactions, indicating that the H'/H exchange reactions are much more favored. In the CC calculations, the resonance peaks in the reaction probabilities diminish quickly with the increase in total angular momenta J, resulting in the existence of a clear step-like feature just above the threshold in the cross sections for the title reactions, which manifests the signature of shape resonances in these reactions. In the CS calculations, the resonance peaks on reaction probabilities persist in many partial waves, and thus the resonance structures can no longer survive the partial-wave summation and are washed out completely in the CS cross sections for the title reactions.     

稀土负载钛-硅沸石 ETS-10 的制备及其光催化性质(英文)

以水玻璃和四氯化钛为原料, 在不使用有机模板剂、氟离子和晶种的条件下, 用水热法合成了钛-硅沸石 ETS-10, 将 La、Ce、Pr 和 Nd 四种稀土元素负载到合成的 ETS-10 上. 通过 X 射线粉末衍射、N2 吸附-脱附、29Si 魔角旋转核磁共振、紫外漫反射光谱、X 射线荧光光谱等表征手段对负载前后的 ETS-10 进行了表征. 以有机染料甲基橙为底物, 考察了负载各种稀土及氢氟酸腐蚀对 ETS-10 的光催化活性的影响. 结果表明, 四种稀土元素的引入均可有效提高 ETS-10 的光催化活性. 反应活性提高的程度与稀土元素负载量有关. 对 ETS-10 同时进行氢氟酸腐蚀和稀土元素的负载, 可以将 ETS-10 的光催化活性提高近一倍, 与锐钛矿相 TiO2 相当, 但前者更易分离.     

Triterpenoids from Psidium guajava leaves

Three pentacyclic triterpenoids including one new guajavanoic acid (2) and two known obtusinin (1) and goreishic acid I (3) have been isolated from the leaves of Psidium guajava. The new constituent 2 has been characterized as 2alpha-hydroxy-3beta-p-E-coumaroyloxyurs-12, 18-dien-28-oic acid through 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR (broad band and DEPT). This is the first report of isolation of compound 1 and 3 from the genus Psidium.     

Ursethoxy acid,a new triterpene from Lantana camara

A new pentacyclic triterpene, named ursethoxy acid (1) was isolated from the aerial parts of Lantana camara Linn. Its structure has been elucidated as 3,25-epoxy-3alpha-ethoxy-urs-12-en-28-oic acid through extensive 1D- and 2D-NMR (COSY-45, NOESY, J-resolved, HMQC and HMBC) studies.     

A new natural product and insecticidal amides from seeds of Piper nigrum Linn

Studies on the petroleum ether soluble and insoluble fraction of ethanol extract of dried ground seeds of Piper nigrum resulted in the isolation and structure elucidation of 1 new and 11 known compounds which include 3 hitherto unreported constituents, namely, cinnamylideneacetone, 3,4-methylenedioxyphenylpropiophenone and 2-hydroxy-4,5-methylenedioxypropiophenone from this plant.
