Solution-phase synthesis and electrochemical hydrogen storage of ultra-long single-crystal selenium submicrotubes

Ultra-long single-crystalline trigonal selenium submicrotubes were synthesized using a facile one-step solution-phase approach with the assistance of nonionic surfactant Polyoxyethylene(20)sorbitan monolaurate (Tween-20), which turned out to be significant for the formation of ultra-long Se submicrotubes. XRD, Raman, SEM, and TEM were adopted to characterize the morphology, structure and phase composition of the as-prepared Se products. It was found that the length of the obtained Se submicrotubes was over 100 microm. By variation of the experimental parameters, the t-Se spheres, nanowires, and broken microtubes can be prepared. The possible growth mechanism of the ultra-long selenium submicrotubes was explained. In addition, we have also demonstrated that the synthesized ultra-long t-Se submicrotubes using the Tween-20-assisted approach can electrochemically charge and discharge with the high capacity of 265 mAh/g (corresponding to 0.97 wt % hydrogen in SWNTs) under normal atmosphere at room temperature. Cyclic voltammetry was adopted to investigate the adsorption-oxidation behavior of ultra-long selenium submicrotubes. It was observed that the morphology of the synthesized selenium products had a remarkable influence on their capacity of electrochemical hydrogen storage. These differences in hydrogen storage capacity are likely due to the size and density of tubes as well as the microcosmic morphology of different Se samples. The as-obtained ultra-long Se submicrotubes are expected to find wide applications in hydrogen storage, high-energy batteries, and optoelectronic, biologic, and catalytic fields as well as in the studies of structure-property relationships. This simple Tween-assisted approach might be extended to the preparations of one-dimensional nanostructures of tellurium and other anisotropic materials.

Sesquiterpenoids from the Rhizome of Ligularia virgaurea

Two novel sesquiterpene dimers, compounds 1 and 2 , were isolated from the rhizome of Ligularia virgaurea, together with the six known sesquiterpenoids 3 – 8 . Their structures were established by physico‐chemical and spectroscopic methods, especially by means of 1D‐ and 2D‐NMR as well as HR‐MS analyses. A mechanism based on a classical Diels–Alder cyclization is proposed for the formation of the dimer 1 from the precursors 8 and the quinone form of 6 (Scheme).     

Poly(N‐Bromobenzene‐1,3‐Disulfonylamide), N,N,N′,N′‐Tetrabromobenzene‐1,3‐Disulfonylamide and DABCO‐Bromine Complex: As Novel Reagents for the Oxidative Coupling of Thiols to Disulfides

An efficient method for the oxidative coupling of thiols to their corresponding disulfides by new reagents poly(N‐bromobenzene‐1,3‐disulfonylamide) PBBS , N,N,N′,N′‐tetrabromobenzene‐1,3‐disulfonylamide TBBDA and DABCO‐bromine complex is described. The reaction was applicable to a variety of thiols with high chemoselectivity.     

Tribromoisocyanuric Acid (TBCA) and Oxone®‐MX Systems as Oxidizing Agents: Oxidative Coupling of Thiols to Their Corresponding Disulfides under Mild and Heterogeneous Conditions

Tribromoisocyanuric acid (TBCA) and Oxone^®‐MX systems were used as effective oxidizing agents for the oxidation of thiols to their corresponding disulfides under mild conditions at room temperature with good to excellent yields.     

Lignanoids and Diterpenoids from Callicarpa furfuraceae

The three new lignanoids 1 – 3 and the five new phyllocladane diterpenoids 7 – 11 were isolated from the leaves of Callicarpa furfuraceae, together with two known lignanoids, lariciresinol ( 4 ) and (+)‐sesamin ( 5 ), and five known diterpenoids, 17‐norphyllocladane‐3,16‐dion ( 6 ), calliterpenone ( 12 ), calliterpenone 17‐acetate ( 13 ), (3β,16α)‐phyllocladane‐3,16,17‐triol ( 14 ), and (3β,16α)‐phyllocladane‐3,16,17‐triol 17‐acetate ( 15 ). Their structures were established by spectral‐data interpretation.     

手性配体的空间结构与产物对映选择性的关系

首次采用4－烷氧羰基噻唑烷、E唑烷作为手性配体，诱导烷基锌对醛类的亲核加成反应，获得产物是烷基化的醛，最高达90％ee，产率98％的（S）－二级醇。系统地考察了该类手性配体三维空间结构变化与产物对映选择性的关系，当配体4－位烷氧羰基上的R、2－位R′基和环体上原子X发生变化时都会引起产物（S）－二 级醇的对映选择性发生规律性变化。对五种不同结构的底物醛在同一手性配体催化下，诱导烷基锌对醛类的亲核加成反应，底物结构变化也会引起（S）－二级醇对映选择性变化。     

Effect of diluting agent on sensitivity in capillary electrophoresis with amperometric detection

Besides the running buffer, pH of buffer, separation voltage and sampling time, the diluting agent was studied in this paper as one of the important factors influencing the sensitivity in capillary electrophoresis (CE) with amperometric detection (AD) when electrokinectic sampling was used. Clonidine hydrochloride, hydrochlorothiazide and rutin, which are positively charged, neutral and negatively charged, respectively, in aqueous solutions, could be perfectly separated by CE with 25 mmol x L(-1) Na(2)B(4)O(7) - 50 mmol x L(-1) NaH(2)PO(4) as running buffer and detected by measuring their current responses with AD. Before CE running, some kinds of diluents including water, methanol, formamide, running buffer, hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide were, respectively, applied to dilute the stock solutions of above three analytes and their effects on the sensitivity of CE-AD were investigated. The results showed that for electrokinetic injection, the current responses of these three analytes were greatly affected in different ways when different diluting agents were used. This method was applied to simultaneously determine the active ingredients in one Chinese compound hypotensor named Zhen Ju Jiang Ya Pian, in which the contents of clonidine hydrochloride, hydrochlorothiazide and rutin is very different as 0.03 mg : 5 mg : 20 mg per tablet, and satisfactory results were obtained by adjusting their sensitivity by selecting the suitable diluting agent.     

Fe-Co-Ni合金纳米线有序阵列的模板合成与磁性

以二次阳极氧化的氧化铝膜为模板，用电化学沉积的方法成功地合成了Fe-Co-Ni三组份有序纳米线阵列.扫描电子显微镜（SEM）和透射电子显微镜(TEM)观察表明纳米线表面光滑、有序、高长径比；磁性测量表明,其矫顽力较同组份的膜材料有较大的提高.将样品在惰性气体氛围中不同温度下退火，随着退火温度增加，其纵向矫顽力有一个极值，而对应的横向矫顽力没有类似的变化，关于这一现象的机理,本文进行了初步的讨论. 图5参15
