YAG:Nd grown from the melt using resitance furnace and molybdenum crucibles were compared with those grown by conventional method using r.f. heating and iridium crucibles. The former were succesfully grown in 98% Ar + 2% H2 protective a mosphere using an excess of Y2O3 in the melt and after it annealed in an oxidizing atmosphere followed by treatment in hydrogen to reach the material with minimum losses. The paper describes the measurement of the electron mobility in semiconducting plates placed between two cylindrical antennas with diameterd–0·75
0 by means of the microwave Faraday effect. This system enables (i) to measure the Faraday rotation in semiconducting plates of arbitrary transverse dimensions, greater or at least equal to the diameter of dielectric antennas, (ii) to evaluate the unknown value of the charge carrier mobility from the measured rotation in an unbounded solid state plasma slab approximation. Performance of homonuclear coupling sign edited (HCSE) experiment applied to detection of signed carbon–carbon couplings is discussed using a set of already measured samples of nine monosubstituted benzenes. It is shown that coupling sign detection is insensitive to the settings of carbon–carbon polarization transfer delays. The HCSE spectra of ten from the total of 43 measured carbon–carbon couplings were considerably influenced by relaxations and proton–proton strong couplings. These effects are quantitatively discussed. The results of HCSE and SLAP experiments are compared. In nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, experimental limits due to the radiofrequency transmitter and/or coil means that conventional radiofrequency pulses (“hard pulses”) are sometimes not sufficiently powerful to excite magnetization uniformly over a desired range of frequencies. Effects due to nonuniform excitation are most frequently encountered at high magnetic fields for nuclei with a large range of chemical shifts. Using optimal control theory, we have designed broadband excitation pulses that are suitable for solid‐state samples under magic‐angle‐spinning conditions. These pulses are easy to implement, robust to spinning frequency variations, and radiofrequency inhomogeneities, and only four times as long as a corresponding hard pulse. The aim of the present research work was to investigate the possibilities of designing surface texturing for different lubrication regimes and to evaluate its effectiveness, especially under starved, boundary and mixed lubrication regimes. This was achieved by combining an experimental tribological investigation with a surface-roughness analysis, a 2D FEM simulation and fluid dynamic modelling. The tribological investigation under unidirectional and reciprocating sliding was focused on the effect of the laser-texturing parameters—including the dimple depth and size, the dimple area density and the contact size—on the coefficient of friction under different lubrication regimes, achieved by varying the sliding speed, the normal load and the lubricant viscosity. 相似文献

The motion of a pair of uniform interacting spherical mesoscopic particles situated in a viscous fluid under the influence of a rotating magnetic field was studied. The coupling interactions between the particles were chosen as a superposition of steric and dipolar pair potentials (for the dipoles parallel to the external field). The model dynamics consisting of particular rotation and vibration modes is the result of the interplay of viscous and interaction forces. The transition from the synchronous to the asynchronous regime of dimer rotation has been found. The results were discussed from a synergetic point of view. A qualitative picture of behaviour of the effective magnetoviscosity and permittivity for dimerized magnetorheological suspension has been given. 相似文献
