A sensitive and simple solid-phase preconcentration procedure for enrichment of cadmium prior to analysis by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) is described. The method is based on the adsorption of cadmium as CdI42− on naphthalene-methyltrioctylammonium chloride adsorbent, elution by nitric acid and subsequent determination by FAAS. The effect of pH, iodide concentration, sample flow rate, volume of the sample and diverse ions on the recovery of the analyte was investigated and optimum conditions were established. A preconcentration factor of 40 was achieved using the optimum conditions. The calibration graph was linear in the range 1-100 ng ml−1 cadmium in the initial solution. The detection limit based on the 3Sb criterion was 0.6 ng ml−1 and the relative standard deviations (RSD) were 3.9 and 1.05% for 5 and 40 ng ml−1, respectively (n=8). The method was successfully applied to the determination of cadmium added to river, tap and Persian Gulf water samples.  相似文献

A new dodecyl benzene sulfonate (DBS) ion-selective electrode based on polyaniline is reported. The films of polyaniline doped with DBS were prepared electrochemically on platinum electrodes in the solution containing 1.0×10−3 M aniline and 7.0×10−3 M DBS. The optimum potentiometric response was obtained for prepared polymeric film by passing electricity of 7.5 C cm−2. The electrode exhibits an excellent Nernstian slope of −59.1±0.3 mV per decade for DBS ion over a wide concentration range (5.0×10−6 to 4.1×10−3 M) with a low detection limit (1.0×10−6 M). The proposed electrode revealed good sensitivities for DBS ion over a wide variety of other anions and can be used in the wide pH range of 5-10. It shows good stability, good reproducibility, wide range of pH independency and fast response (<20 s) without using internal solution. This electrode could be used for the determination of DBS in the real samples.  相似文献

This paper presents the application of simulated annealing (SA), Tabu search (TS) and hybrid TS–SA to solve a real-world mining optimisation problem called open pit block sequencing (OPBS). The OPBS seeks the optimum extraction sequences under a variety of geological and technical constraints over short-term horizons. As industry-scale OPBS instances are intractable for standard mixed integer programming (MIP) solvers, SA, TS and hybrid TS–SA are developed to solve the OPBS problem. MIP exact solution is also combined with the proposed metaheuristics to polish solutions in feasible neighbourhood moves. Extensive sensitivity analysis is conducted to analyse the characteristics and determine the optimum sets of values of the proposed metaheuristics algorithms’ parameters. Computational experiments show that the proposed algorithms are satisfactory for solving the OPBS problem. Additionally, this comparative study shows that the hybrid TS–SA is superior to SA or TS in solving the OPBS problem in several aspects.  相似文献

The decrement of equilibrium extraction time without losing extraction efficiency in solid-phase microextraction (SPME) was achieved using nano-structured coating. Polyaniline (PANI) was used as an extraction phase for the comparison of extraction capacity and equilibrium extraction time of nano- and micro-structured coatings. Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) were used as model compounds to examine the extraction properties of nano- and micro-structured coatings. The results revealed that nano-structured PANI coating showed higher extraction rate and shorter desorption time than micro-structured coating, because of the larger surface area. In order to evaluate the extraction capability of prepared nano-structured PANI coating, headspace-SPME method was used for the determination of PCBs in sediment samples by GC-electron capture detector. The proposed method was validated using the certified reference material.  相似文献

A highly selective and sensitive catalytic method for the determination of trace amounts of titanium(IV) was developed. The method is based on the catalytic effect of titanium(IV) on the methylene blue‐ascorbic acid redox reaction. The reaction was followed spectrophotometrically by measuring the change in absorbance of methylene blue at 665 nm, 5 minutes after the initiation of the reaction. In this study experimental parameters were optimized and the effect of the presence of various cations and some anions on the determination of titanium(IV) was examined. The calibration graph was linear in the range of 3‐25 ng mL?1 of titanium(IV). The relative standard deviation for the determination of 10 and 20 ng mL?1 of titanium(IV) were 2.64% and 1.51%, respectively (n = 8). The detection limit calculated from three times of standard deviation of blank 3Sb was 0.6 ng mL?1. The method was successfully applied to the determination of titanium(IV) in tap water and ore samples.  相似文献

This article is describing the electrical characteristics of the self‐assembled monolayers (SAMs) formed during spontaneous chemical adsorption of a recently synthesized heteroaromatic thiol 2‐(2‐mercaptophenylnitrilomethylidyne)‐phenol ( L ). Some surfactants were used to regulate the electron transfer through the resulting SAMs, as investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The results revealed that the surface structure is approximately complete and fractional coverage is very close to unity. The use of surfactants clearly improved the electron transfer properties. Furthermore, complementary experiments were carried out to investigate the electron transfer from modified surface to cytochrome C (cyt‐C), as a biological iron containing protein, which exists in living cells with important life roles. It was found that cyt‐C is able to interact with the modified surface so that it can be used as a scaffold to study the electrochemical characteristics of sensitive biological compounds like proteins. The voltammetric behavior of the redox protein on the resulting SAMs was found to be highly reproducible, emphasizing the fact that the protein denaturation is greatly suppressed.  相似文献

The present modelling study has been dedicated to determining the interfacial properties of binary and ternary liquid mixtures made up of tetrahydrofuran, 2-propanol and 2,2,4-trimethylpentane. The variation of the temperature is from 288 to 308 K. By using both UNIFAC activity model and the fugacity model based on the cubic plus association (CPA) equation of state (EOS), a model based on the equality of chemical potentials in the liquid and the surface layer is utilised to describe the liquid–vapour interface of these liquid mixtures. The surface tension, composition and density are simultaneously predicted. The results of this model show that experimental surface tension data are in a good agreement with the predicted ones. The model using CPA EOS and molar volume has a better performance than the one uses the UNIFAC activity model.  相似文献

A simple, rapid, and sensitive method has been developed for the determination of trace amounts of sulfide based on its reaction with thionine. The reaction is monitored spectrophotometrically by measuring the decreasing absorbance of the dyestuff at 600 nm by the fixed time method. After optimization of the measuring conditions the calibration curves were found linear up to 38.0 ppm (four regions), and the theoretical limit of detection was 0.076 ppm and the relative standard deviation for determination of 1.0 ppm sulfide (n = 10) was found to be 2.7%. The proposed method was applied successfully to the determination of sulfide in spring water and wastewater samples.  相似文献
