Carlson and Shaffer [SIAM J. Math. Anal. 15 (1984) 737-745] defined a convolution operator L(a,c) on the class A of analytic functions involving an incomplete beta function ?(a,c;z) as L(a,c)f=?(a,c)?f. We use this operator to introduce certain classes of analytic functions in the unit disk and study their properties including some inclusion results, coefficient and radius problems. It is shown that these classes are closed under convolution with convex functions.  相似文献

In this article some comments on the paper “parametric cubic spline approach to the solution of a system of second order boundary value problems” in (Khan and Aziz, J. Optim. Theory Appl. 118:45–54, 2003) are given. This paper concerns with a numerical method for solving a second order boundary value problem associated with obstacle, unilateral and contact problems. In the paper we develop a two stage scenario-based stochastic programming model for water management in the Indus Basin Irrigation System (IBIS). We present a comparison between the deterministic and scenario-based stochastic programming model. Our model takes stochastic inputs on hydrologic data i.e. inflow and rainfall. We divide the basin into three rainfall zones which overlap on 44 canal commands. Data on crop characteristics are taken on canal command levels. We then use ten-daily and monthly time intervals to analyze the policies. This system has two major reservoirs and a complex network of rivers, canal head works, canals, sub canals and distributaries. All the decisions on hydrologic aspects are governed by irrigation and agricultural development policies. Storage levels are maintained within the minimum and maximum bounds for every time interval according to a power generation policy. The objective function is to maximize the expected revenue from crops production. We discuss the flexibility of two stochastic optimization models with varying time horizon.  相似文献

A comprehensive study on the small-signal intensity modulation (IM) characteristics of a fiber grating Fabry-Perot (FGFP) laser is numerically investigated. The effect of external optical feedback (OFB), temperature, injection current, cavity volume, nonlinear gain compression factor, and fiber grating (FG) parameters on IM characteristics are presented. The temperature dependence (TD) of IM is calculated according to the TD of laser cavity parameters instead of using the well-known Parkove relationship. It has been shown that the optimum external fiber length (L ext) is 3.1 cm. The optimum range of working temperature for FGFP laser is between 23 to 27 °C. We also show that by increasing the laser injection current from 10 to 60 mA, the IM peak amplitude decreased from 6.3 to 0.2 dB and the relaxation-oscillation frequency (ROF) is shifted from 1.2 GHz towards higher frequency of 5.48 GHz. In addition, the AR coating reflectivity and gain compression factor have no significant effect on the IM. The study indicates that a stable operation and excellent modulation characteristic can be obtained after optimization process.  相似文献

Numerical investigation of the dusty Williamson fluid with the dependency of time has been done in current disquisition. The flow of multiphase liquid/particle suspension saturating the medium is caused by stretching of porous surface. The influence of magnetic field and heat generation/absorption is observed. It is assumed that particle has a spherical shape and distributed uniformly in fluid matrix. The unsteady two-dimensional problems are modeled for both fluid and particle phase using conservation of mass, momentum and heat transfer. The finalized model generates the non-dimensioned parameters, namely Weissenberg number, unsteadiness parameter, magnetic parameter,heat generation/absorption parameter, Prandtl number, fluid particle interaction parameter, and mass concentration parameters. The numerical solution is obtained. Locality of skin friction and Nusselt number is deliberately focused to help of tables and graphs. While inferencing the current article it is clearly observed that increment of Williamson parameter, unsteadiness parameter, magnetic parameter, volume fraction parameter, and mass concentration parameter reduces the velocity profile of fluid and solid particles as well. And increment of Prandtl number, unsteadiness parameter,volume fraction parameter, and mass concentration parameter reduces the temperature profile of fluid and solid particles as well.  相似文献

A hybrid isothermal model for the homogeneous-heterogeneous reactions in ferrohydrodynamic boundary layer flow is established. The characteristics of Newtonian heating and magnetic dipole in a ferrofluid due to a stretchable surface is analyzed for three chemical species. It is presumed that the isothermal cubic autocatalator kinetic gives the homogeneous reaction and the first order kinetics gives the heterogeneous (surface) reaction. The analysis is carried out for equal diffusion coefficients of all autocatalyst and reactions. Heat flux is examined by incorporating Fourier's law of heat conduction. Characteristics of materialized parameters on the magneto-thermomechanical coupling in the flow of a chemically reactive species are investigated. Further, the heat transfer rate and friction drag are depicted for the ferrohydrodynamic chemically reactive species. It is evident that the Schmidt number has increasing behavior on the rate of heat transfer in the boundary layer. Comparison with available results for specific cases is found an excellent agreement.  相似文献

This paper presents the analysis of circular ring metamaterial absorber with the existing of copper lines. The structure is designed using lossy FR4 substrate with thin copper layers. The circular ring shape with copper lines is printed on the top surface of FR4 substrate, while at the bottom surface is printed with full copper ground plane. Parametric study is done to investigate the effect of copper lines on the resonance frequency. From the simulation, the circular ring metamaterial absorber with vertical copper lines can resonates at lower frequency, but this structure is polarized sensitive. This drawback can be improved by adding horizontal copper lines together with the vertical copper lines. The circular ring structure with vertical and horizontal copper lines is not only polarization insensitive, but it can works at wide operating angle of incident waves.  相似文献

In this paper, we apply the modified variational iteration method (MVIM) for solving the Helmholtz equations. The proposed modification is made by introducing He's polynomials in the correction functional. The suggested algorithm is quite efficient and is practically well suited for use in these problems. The proposed iterative scheme finds the solution without any discretization, linearization, or restrictive assumptions. Several examples are given to verify the reliability and efficiency of the method. The fact that the proposed technique solves nonlinear problems without using the Adomian's polynomials can be considered as a clear advantage of this algorithm over the decomposition method.  相似文献
