The problem of mixed convective non-steady three dimensional flow of a micropolar fluid near the stagnation point of a blunt nosed body has been discussed. The governing set of differential equations are solved using the Finite Element Method. The velocity and microrotation distribution are shown graphically to depend upon four parameters namely the micropolar parameter, Grashof number, buoyancy parameter and the degree of acceleration. The electron momentum distributions (EMD's) and Compton profiles (CP's) of LiF, LiCl, NaF and NaCI have been calculated using the floating spherical gaussian orbital (FSGO) model wavefunctions. The calculated FSGO Compton profiles are in good agreement with the available experimental data considering the simplicity of the model used. The calculated EMD and CP values in these systems are nearly equal to the sum of the contributions of respective cations and anions.  相似文献

The paper describes the nature of the sporadic E layer of blanketing type observed at Kodaikanal (Lat. 10°·2 N; Long. 77°·5 E; dip: 3°·5 N). It is shown that in the Indian equatorial region, the frequency of occurrence of this type of E s is abnormally large when compared to similar latitudes in the west and that changes of large magnitudes occur in the F2 layer of the ionosphere as well as in the horizontal force of the earth’s magnetic field simultaneously with the appearance of the blanketing E s . Lunar effects have also been shown to exist both in the time of appearance of blanketing E s and in its strength. Some evidence exists to show that blanketing E s as well as the blanketing frequency,f b E s , have a biennial maximum. These characteristics are discussed as part of the Far East Anomaly.  相似文献

Transmission measurements of the extended X-ray absorption fine structure above the oxygen K-edge have been made by using a new scintillation detection technique. The absorption spectrum is in close resemblance with the total electron yield spectrum recorded at the same time. This new technique is of interest for studies of soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy for thin films of solid materials.  相似文献

A safer, greener, and more effective reaction methodology for the synthesis of dihydroquinazolinones (DHQs) has been developed. The deep eutectic solvent (DES) ZnCl2/urea employed in this study efficiently accelerated the cyclization of 2-aminobenzamide with different aldehydes (aromatic and heteroaromatic) to afford the target scaffolds without the generation of any oxidized product. This method has exhibited remarkable advantages such as quick reaction time, mild reaction conditions, high yield (82%–98%), operational simplicity, and selectivity. The approach was observed to be tolerant to electron-donating and electron-withdrawing functional groups. Green metric parameters (AEf, OE, AE, RME, CE, etc.) determined further aided this greener chemical approach.  相似文献

Silicon nanoparticles (SiNPs) can be synthesized by a variety of methods. In many cases these routines are non-scalable with low product yields or employ toxic reagents. One way to overcome these drawbacks is to use one-pot synthesis based on the chemical reduction of micelles. In the following study trichloroalkylsilanes of differing chain lengths were used as a surfactant, and the level of capping, surface bonding and size of the nanoparticles formed has been investigated. FTIR results show that the degree of alkyl capping for SiNPs with different capping layers was constant, although SiNPs bound with shorter chains display a much higher level of Si–O owing to the reaction of the ethanol used in the method with uncapped sites on the particle. SiNPs with longer chain length capping show a sharp Si–H peak on the FTIR, these were heated at reflux with the corresponding 1-alkene to fully cap these particles, resulting in a reduction/disappearance of this peak with a minimal change in the intensity of the Si–O peak. Other techniques used to analyze the surface bonding and composition, XPS, 1H-NMR, and TEM/EDX, show that alkyl-capped SiNPs have been produced using this method. The optical properties showed no significant changes between the different capped SiNPs.  相似文献
