In a Hartree-Fock or Hartree-Foek-Bogoliubov calculation of a deformed intrinsic state, one obtains a distribution of angular momentum states. Using an analogy from statistical mechanics, we obtain an expression for this distribution. The concept of an average temperature for the intrinsic state is introduced, which is directly related to the rotational energy content of the intrinsic state. The relationship of this temperature to microscopic particle-hole calculations is clarified. Assuming a rotational spectrum for the ground-state band of an axially symmetric doubly even nucleus, it is demonstrated that the deduced distribution of the angular momentum states gives rise to an overlap function of the intrinsic wave function which falls off, for small angles of rotation, as a Gaussian. Finally, the Yoccoz formula for the moment of inertia is derived using classical statistical mechanics, and semiclassical corrections to it are obtained. 相似文献

Curvature measurement using a three-aperture digital shearography (DS) system is reported in this paper. The outer apertures are covered with wedge plates for introducing shear. Four images by sequentially blocking the outer apertures are used for quantitative measurement. Fourier transform technique is used to determine two sheared slope phase maps from two images at a time representing initial and deformed states. Subtraction of these two-phase maps yields the curvature phase map. Experimental results are presented for a circular diaphragm clamped along the edges and loaded at the center. 相似文献

A Fizeau interferometer based set up for measurement of surface forms of plane optical surfaces has been discussed. Phase shifting interferometry has been applied using polarization phase shifter. A linearly polarized (632.8 nm) He–Ne laser has been used as the source. Light reflected from the object and the reference/master surfaces are made circularly polarized in opposite senses by means of two properly oriented quarter wave retardation plates placed at appropriate positions, one inside and other outside the interference cavity of the interferometer, and phase shifts are introduced between the object and the reference/master waves by varying angular orientation of a polarizer/analyzer. Final result is made free from any residual wave-front aberrations introduced by the (intra-cavity) wave plate by subtracting phase values obtained by PSI technique between a high optical quality master surface and the reference surface from that obtained for the test object surface with respect to the same reference surface for each point of the interference field. Results are shown for a plane surface.Advantages of the technique presented are linearity and high accuracy in phase stepping, no perturbation of the interference cavity during the phase shifting and possibility of real time or dynamic interferometry. 相似文献

A novel optical system is proposed that implements digital speckle pattern interferometry (DSPI) and digital speckle photography (DSP) simultaneously using two wavelength illumination of an object for simultaneous measurement of all three components of the displacement vector field. A collimated red light illuminates both the object and a reference surface in a DSPI configuration which is sensitive to out-of-plane displacement field while a blue light illuminates the object in a DSP configuration which is sensitive to in-plane displacement fields. A color 3-CCD camera records the red and blue lights individually through its red and blue channels, respectively. Three-dimensional non-contact optical techniques for rapid and accurate mapping of micro-machined surfaces are important for the optoelectronic industry. Interferometry is a well-established technique for 3-D surface profiling. The conventional interferometric surface profilers using a single wavelength offer excellent vertical resolution, but a serious limitation to their use is that they can only handle smooth profiles and step heights less than half a wavelength. In this paper we describe a two-wavelength micro-interferometric setup for 3-D surface profile characterization of smooth as well as rough micro-specimens. The method removes ambiguity associated with the single-wavelength data and also extends the phase measurement range compared to the conventional single-wavelength interferometry. Seven-phase step algorithm is used for quantitative fringe analysis. The design of the system along with experimental results on smooth and rough micro-specimens is presented. 相似文献

The strength of attachment of adsorbed bovine β-lactoglobulin (βlg) and acetylated β-lactoglobulin (Ac-βlg) has been studied by comparing the elution profiles of the adsorbed proteins. βlg binds very loosely to alumina at pH 4.2 and both βlg and Ac-βlg bind very tightly to alumina at pH 5.1 where the proteins showed highest adsorption at alumina/ water interface [ Bhaduri, A & Das, K. P., J. Disp. Sci. Technol., 15, 165-188 (1994)]. Adsorbed protein can only be eluted out if the pH of the elution buffer is raised to 7.6. βlg elutes as a single peak whereas Ac-βlg as two peaks indicating the later is adsorbed to alumina with different affinities. Elution profile of adsorbed βlg at pH 6.3 shows that adsorbed βlg population consists of partly folded elutable fraction and partly unfolded resistant one. The interaction of first layer of protein with the silica surface at pH 5.1 is primarily hydrophobic for βlg and electrostatic for Ac-βlg. 相似文献
