Paramagnetic chemical exchange saturation transfer (paraCEST) agents are well-suited for imaging tissue pH because the basis of CEST, chemical exchange, is inherently sensitive to pH. Several previous pH-sensitive paraCEST agents were based on an exchanging Ln3+-bound water molecule as the CEST antenna but this design often added additional line-broadening to the bulk water signal due to T2 exchange. We report herein a pH-sensitive paraCEST agent that lacks an inner-sphere water molecule but contains one Ln-bound −OH group for CEST activation. The Yb3+ complex, Yb( 1 ), displayed a single, highly shifted CEST peak originating from the exchangeable Yb-OH proton, the frequency of which changed over the biologically relevant pH range. CEST images of phantoms ranging in pH from 6 to 8 demonstrate the potential of this agent for imaging pH. Initial rodent imaging studies showed that Gd( 1 ) remains in the vascular system much longer than anticipated but is cleared slowly via renal filtration.  相似文献

[Structure: see text] A convergent and versatile strategy for the diastereoselective syntheses of (+/-)-cis-trikentrin A and B in 10 and 12 steps, respectively, from commercially available N-BOC-2-pyrrolidinone is described. The key step in each of the total syntheses is the construction of the central benzene ring via a facile 6pi-electrocyclic ring closure of an appropriately substituted 2,3-divinylpyrroline, in turn, readily available by a Stille coupling reaction.  相似文献

The EuII complex of 1,4,7,10‐tetraazacyclododecane‐1,4,7,10‐tetraacetic acid (DOTA) tetra(glycinate) has a higher reduction potential than most EuII chelates reported to date. The reduced EuII form acts as an efficient water proton T1 relaxation reagent, while the EuIII form acts as a water‐based chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST) agent. The complex has extremely fast water exchange rate. Oxidation to the corresponding EuIII complex yields a well‐defined signal from the paraCEST agent. The time course of oxidation was studied in vitro and in vivo by T1‐weighted and CEST imaging.  相似文献

Summary This research has demonstrated that the dielectric method can be used successfully for grain moisture measurements for diverse grain types over wide ranges of temperatures if the grain moisture content is below certain (grain-specific) threshold values. These high-moisture limits were estimated. Optimum temperature correction coefficients for 149 MHz moisture measurements were determined for grain samples at different moisture levels. This information should be very helpful for grain moisture meter manufacturers and for moisture meter users who need to determine grain moisture contents at temperature extremes to be able to market grain more efficiently.  相似文献

Four new phenolic dimers and trimers that contain ferulic acid moieties were isolated from the alkaline hydrolyzate of insoluble maize bran fiber and their structures were established by 1D/2D NMR and mass spectrometry. The biological role of one dimer remains unclear whereas the dimeric vanillin-ferulic acid-cross-product probably represents an oxidative degradation product from the corresponding diferulate. Both ferulic acid dehydrotrimers are able to cross-link polysaccharide chains. However, the 5-5/8-O-4(H2O)-triferulic acid may be a cross-link in its identified structure whereas we assume that the identified 8-O-4/8-5(non-cyclic)-triferulic acid arose from a natural 8-O-4/8-5(cyclic)-triferulate analog during the saponification process.  相似文献

The adsorption kinetics (by thermal desorption spectroscopy) and adsorption dynamics (by molecular beam scattering) have been determined for a number of alkanes, methanol, thiophene, and water on a silica wafer—SiO2/Si(1 1 1). No indications for bond activation were present, i.e., all probe molecules adsorb molecularly obeying 1st order kinetics. The coverage-dependent heat of adsorption has been determined accordingly. The adsorption dynamics are precursor-mediated with Kisliuk-like shapes of the adsorption probabilities at low impact energies and adsorbate-assisted adsorption at large impact energies.  相似文献

Lifetimes for levels in the yrast band of 184Pt have been measured up to spin 16+ using the recoil distance technique. The B(E2) values exhibit a marked increase in going from spin 2 to 10, consistent with a proposal that two bands of different deformations are mixing at low spin. This provides further support for shape coexistence occuring at low excitation energies in this region.  相似文献

A specifically tailored plasma lens could shape a high-energy, heavy-ion beam into the form of a hollow cylinder without loss of beam intensity. It has been experimentally confirmed that both a positive as well as a negative radial gradient of the current density in the active plasma lens can be the underlying principle. Calculations were performed that yield the ideal current density distribution for both cases. A numerical simulation of an experiment with an intense ion beam highlights that the shaping of the beam increases the achievable compression in a lead sample.  相似文献
