Studying the volatility of pyrazolone complexes of rare-earth elements by means of Knudsen effusion

The temperature dependences of the pressure of saturated vapor of pyrazolone complexes of rare-earth elements Ln(PMIP)₃ (where Ln = Y, Ho, Er, Tm, Lu; PMIP = 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-isobutyryl-5-pyrazolone) are studied via Knudsen effusion, and the enthalpy of their sublimation is determined. Mass spectra and differential scanning calorimetry data are obtained.     

Ionophoric and Complexant Properties of Lagochilin Derivatives

The ionophoric and complexant properties of synthetic derivatives of lagochilin, 3,18-O-isopropylidenelagochilin and 3,18-O-ethylidenelagochilin, were studied by BLM methods, conductometry, and IR spectroscopy. The ionophoric activity was found to be highly selective for divalent cations. Studies of the electrical conductivity of alkaline-earth metal salts in the presence of the lagochilin derivatives and analysis of their IR spectra have shown that they can form complexes with various ratios of metal ions.     

Structure of paniculadine

Alkaloids ofHaplophyllum latifolium the structure and synthesis of haplamide and haplamidine

Summary The alkaloids haplamide and haplamidine have been isolated from the epigeal part of the plantHaplophyllum latifolium growing in Kirghizia. Alkaloids ofHaplophyllum perforatum. II

Summary From the epigeal part ofHaplophyllum perforatum growing on the northern slopes of the Babadag range we have isolated the known alkaloids evoxine, 7-isopentenyloxy--fagarine. methylevoxine, evodine, skimmianine, glycoperine, haplamine, and haplopine and the new alkaloids haplofidine, triacetylglyoperidine and monoacetylglycoperidine. Diacetylglycoperine has been detected in the mixture of bases.It has been established that in the epigeal part, with the growth of the plant the amount of evoxine and its analogs decreases and the amounts of skimmianine, glycoperine, and haplofidine increase. The greatest number of alkaloids is found in the flowering period.It has been shown that haplofidine has the structure of 8-isopentenyloxy-4-methoxy-furanoquinoline, and triacetylglycoperine that of 4, 8-dimethoxy-7--L-triacetylrhamnosyloxy-furanoquinoline.Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances, Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR, Tashkent. Crystal and molecular structure of anhydroperforine

A complete x-ray structural investigation has been made of the alkaloid anhydroperforine. The crystals are rhombic: a=17.425(5) Å, b=8.166 Å, c=11.284(5) Å, z=4, space group P2₁2₁2₁ (diffractometer, 1000 reflections, MLS in the anisotropic approximation, R=0.11). The investigation has unambiguously demonstrated the conformation of the anhydroperforine molecule and has confirmed its structure. The lengths of the bonds and the values of the valence angles are the usual ones. The conformations of rings B and C are planar, ring D has a chair, and ring A, a distorted half-chair conformation.     

Structure and features of the fragmentation of the products of the reduction of dubinidinone

The Clemmensen reduction of dubinidinone (II) leads to the hydrogenolysis of the dihydrofuran ring with the predominant formation of α-methoxy-α-methyl-α,β-dihydropyrano-2-quinolone. An explanation of the characteristics of the fragmentation of the products of the reduction of dubinidinone has been found.
