The azafullerene Tb2@C79N is found to be a single‐molecule magnet with a high 100‐s blocking temperature of magnetization of 24 K and large coercivity. Tb magnetic moments with an easy‐axis single‐ion magnetic anisotropy are strongly coupled by the unpaired spin of the single‐electron Tb?Tb bond. Relaxation of magnetization in Tb2@C79N below 15 K proceeds via quantum tunneling of magnetization with the characteristic time τQTM=16 462±1230 s. At higher temperature, relaxation follows the Orbach mechanism with a barrier of 757±4 K, corresponding to the excited states, in which one of the Tb spins is flipped. 相似文献

The methodology for the prediction of aqueous solubilities of solid organic compounds, and their temperature dependence, based on the Conductor-like Screening Model for Real Solvents (COSMO-RS/COSMOtherm) procedure, is presented and evaluated. The predictive capability of the quantum chemistry based program and the applied methodology was tested on the most common solid carboxylic acids. From the temperature dependence of the solubilities, the mean apparent enthalpies of solution were derived. The results obtained for a set of 27 carboxylic acids, consisting of aromatic carboxylic acids, dicarboxylic acids, as well as hydroxycarboxylic acids, are in good agreement with the experimental solubility data and their dependence with the temperature. The mean apparent enthalpies of solution, although of the same order of magnitude of the experimentally values, seem to be systematically underestimated. 相似文献

Fatty alcohol ethoxylates can be analyzed using a combination of liquid chromatography under critical conditions as the first dimension and liquid exclusion-adsorption chromatography as the second dimension. Transfer of fractions from the first to the second dimension is achieved using the full adsorption-desorption (FAD) technique. The peaks of interest in the first dimension are trapped on a short precolumn before injecting them into the second dimension. Full adsorption is achieved by increasing the water content in the mobile phase before the FAD column. When the fractions are desorbed by switching to the mobile phase of the second dimension, they are focused and reconcentrated. In this way, a full resolution of oligomers is achieved. As both dimensions are run in isocratic mode, density and refractive index detection can be applied, which allows an accurate quantitation. 相似文献

A systematic investigation of the influence of the perimeter shape of open and particle packed fused silica capillaries on chromatographic properties such as resistance to flow and dispersion of solutes propelled through these channels has been conducted. The mixed‐valent oxotantalate Eu1.83Ta15O32 was prepared from a compressed mixture of Ta2O5 and the metals in a sealed Ta ampoule at 1400 °C. The crystal structure was determined by means of single crystal X‐ray diffraction: space group R3¯, a = 777.2(6) pm and c = 3523.5(3) pm, Z = 3, 984 symmetrically independent reflections, 83 variables, RF = 0.027 for I > 2σ (I). The structure is isotypic to Ba2Nb15O32. The salient feature is a [Ta(+8/3)6O12iO6a] cluster consisting of an octahedral Ta6 core bonded to 12 edge‐bridging inner and six outer oxygen atoms. The clusters are arranged to slabs which are sandwiched by layers of [Ta(+5)3O13] triple octahedra. Additional Ta(+5) and Eu(+2) atoms provide the cohesion of these structural units. Twelve‐fold coordinated Eu(+2) atoms are situated on a triply degenerate position 33 pm displaced from the threefold axis of symmetry. A depletion of the Eu(+2) site from 6 to 5.5 atoms per unit cell reduces the number of electrons available for Ta‐Ta bonding from 15 to 14.67 electrons per cluster. Between 125 and 320 K Eu1.83Ta15O32 is semi‐conducting with a band gap of 0.23 eV. The course of the magnetization is consistently described with the Brillouin function in terms of a Mmol/(NAμB) versus B/T plot in the temperature range 5 K — 320 K and at magnetic flux densities 0.1 T — 5 T. At moderate flux densities (< 1 T) the magnetic moment agrees fairly well with the expected value of 7.94 μB for free Eu (2+) ions with 4f7 configuration in 8S7/2 ground state. Below 5 K, anisotropic magnetization measurements at flux densities B < 1 T point to an onset of an antiferromagnetic ordering of Eu spins within the layers and an incipient ferromagnetic ordering perpendicular to the layers. 相似文献

The retention behaviour of fatty alcohol ethoxylates and fatty acid methyl ester ethoxylates on various reversed-phase columns in acetone-water has been studied in the regime of liquid exclusion-adsorption chromatography at different temperatures. Straight lines were obtained in the van't Hoff plots. The entropy and enthalpy changes were found to be negative (at least in the range of lower oligomers) and showed a dependence of the number of oxyethylene units. For higher oligomers, both entropy and enthalpy changes approach a constant value. This can be explained by the existence of a rather thick layer of organic solvent close to the surface of the stationary phase. 相似文献
