The effects of incorporating a p-phenylene- (or m-phenylene)-1,3,4-oxadiazole fragment into the backbone of poly[1,4-phenylene(diphenylsilyl)-1,4-phenylene-2,5-(1,3,4-oxadiazole)], which was developed by the authors, was investigated. Bis[(p-carbohydrazidophenyl)]diphenylsilane was copolymerized with dipentachlorophenyl terephthalate or isophthalate to produce the prepolymers poly[N-(p-diphenylsilylbenzoyl)-NN″-(terephthaloyl)-N″′-(p-benzoyl)dihydrazide] and poly[N-(p-diphenylsilylbenzoyl)-N′,-N″-(isophthaloyl)-N″′-p-(benzoyl) dihydrazide], respectively. The polyhydrazides were converted by thermal dehydration into poly[1,4-phenylene(diphenylsilyl)-1,4-phenylene-(1,3,4-oxadiazole-2,5-diyl)-1,4-phenylene-2,5-(1,3,4-oxadiazole)] and poly[1,4-phenyl-ene(diphenylsilyl)-1,4-phenylene-(1,3,4-oxadiazole-2,5-diyl)-1,3,4-(oxadiazole)]. The new polymers were soluble in organic solvents. Films cast from these solutions exhibited good adhesion to glass and metal surfaces. Thermal analysis showed that the heat stability of all these polymers was about the same and that they were resistant to decomposition when heated in air to about 400°C. The results also indicated that these polymers were somewhat less heat-resistant than samples of poly-[1,4-phenylene(diphenylsilyl)-1,4-phenylene-2,5-]1,3,4-(oxadiazole) synthesized from bis(p-carbohydrazidophenyl)diphenylsilane and bis-(p-carbopentachlorophenoxy-phenyl)diphenylsilane.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to determine if and how a solvent influences internal motions in a solute molecule. Acetylcholine was chosen as the object of study given its interesting molecular structure and major biological significance. Molecular dynamics simulations were carried out in the vacuum (10 ns), water (5 ns), methanol (5 ns), and octanol (1.5 ns). Seven clusters of conformers were identified, namely, +g+g, -g-g, +gt, -gt, t+g, t-g, and tt, where the gauche and trans labels refer to the dihedral angles tau(2) and tau(3), respectively. As expected, the relative proportion of these conformational clusters was highly solvent-dependent and corresponded to a progressive loss of conformational freedom with increasing molecular weight of the solvent. More importantly, the conformational clusters were used to calculate instantaneous and median angular velocity (omega and omega(M), respectively) and instantaneous and median angular acceleration (alpha and alpha(M), respectively). Angular velocity and angular acceleration were both found to decrease markedly with increasing molecular weight of the solvent, i.e., vacuum (epsilon = 1) > water > methanol > octanol. The decrease from the vacuum to octanol was approximately 40% for tau(2) and approximately 60% for tau(3). Such solvent-dependent constraints on a solute's internal motions may be biologically and pharmacologically relevant.  相似文献

The title compound, C17H14O4, is an unprecedented new synthetic isoaurone‐type enol ether that has the E configuration. The planar furanone ring is fused to a methoxy­benzene ring system, with an interplanar angle of 175.7 (1)°. Due to this ring fusion, the six‐membered ring has a significant amount of ring strain, as shown by the internal ring angle range of 115.8 (1)–124.7 (1)°, whereas the vinylic phenyl ring has internal angles between 119.7 (1) and 120.2 (1)°. The mol­ecules form infinite hydrogen‐bonding layers along the b direction of the form C—H?O, where the keto O atom acts as a bifurcated acceptor. These layers are connected along the c direction by another hydrogen bond with a methoxy H atom as donor. In addition to this connection, the layers are stacked via centres of symmetry by a pair of symmetry‐related benzo­furan­one ring systems.  相似文献

We present the search for a new model of -factor XIIa, a blood coagulation enzyme, with an unknown experimental 3D-structure. We decided to build not one but three different models using different homologous proteins as well as different techniques and different modellers. Additional studies, including extensive molecular dynamics simulations on the solvated state, allowed us to draw several conclusions concerning homology modelling, in general, and -factor XIIa, in particular.  相似文献

Catalysts bound to polymers in the form of crosslinked beads have been demonstrated to have a number of advantages over homogeneous catalysts. However, there are several problems that exist due to the polymer support being in the form of a bead. The rate of reaction depends on the presence of solvents that adequately swell the bead in order to allow access to the catalytic sites. Differences in polarity and reactant size can inhibit diffusion into the bead. Recently a new system has been developed whereby tris(triphenyl phosphine) chlororhodium (I) (Wilkinson's catalyst) is bound to the surface of polyethylene single crystals. Polyethylene single crystals have a very high surface to volume ratio allowing for greater ease of reaction compared to a bead system. In a previous paper we showed that there is a dramatic increase in catalytic activity and that the reaction rate increased as the polarity of solvent was increased, even in ethanol where the homogeneous catalyst is not soluble and the polystyrene bead support would not swell. In this letter we are describing the activity of hydrogenation of olefins contained in both large and/or polar molecules. The results demonstrate the advantages of supported catalysts on polyethylene single crystals rather than on polymer beads.  相似文献

Oligonucleotides with sequences of human telomere DNA or thrombin binding aptamer (TBA) are known to form tetraplex structures upon binding the K(+) ion. Structural changes associated with the formation of tetraplex assemblies led to the development of potassium-sensing oligonucleotide (PSO) probes, in which two fluorescent dyes were attached to both termini of particular oligonucleotide. The combination of dyes included fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) and excimer emission approaches, and the structural changes upon binding K(+) ion could be monitored by a fluorescence technique. These systems showed a very high preference for K(+) over Na(+) ion, which was suitable for fluorescence imaging of the potassium concentration gradient in a living cell. In the case of human telomere DNA, it was also possible to follow the polymorphism of its tetraplex structures.  相似文献
