The kinetics of the interaction of DL-methionine with [Pt(en)(H2O)2]2+ have been studied spectrophotometrically as a function of [Pt(en)(H2O)22+], [DL-methionine], PH and temperature. The reaction proceeds via a rapid outer sphere association followed by two slow consecutive steps having first order dependence on the aqua ion and methionine concentrations. Activation parameters have been evaluated using the Eyring equation. The low H1 (15.6 kJ mol–1) and large negative value of S1 (–230 J K–1 mol–1) as well as H2 (19.5 kJ mol–1) and S2 (–226 J K–1 mol–1) indicate an associative mode of activation for both the aqua ligand substitution processes in the two consecutive steps.  相似文献

In the title compound, C31H40N2O·H2O, the outer two six‐membered rings are in chair conformations, while the central ring is in an 8β,9α‐half‐chair conformation. The five‐membered ring adopts a 13β‐envelope conformation and the cyano­benzyl­idene moiety has an E configuration with respect to the hydroxyl group at position 17. The steroid nuclei are linked by intermolecular O—H?O and O—H?N hydrogen bonds to form a molecular network. The molecular packing has an interesting feature, with the steroids aligned parallel to the b axis, forming a closed loop through hydrogen bonds linked via water mol­ecules.  相似文献

A terminal FeIIIOH complex, [FeIII(L)(OH)]2− (1), has been synthesized and structurally characterized (H4L = 1,2-bis(2-hydroxy-2-methylpropanamido)benzene). The oxidation reaction of 1 with one equiv. of tris(4-bromophenyl)ammoniumyl hexachloroantimonate (TBAH) or ceric ammonium nitrate (CAN) in acetonitrile at −45 °C results in the formation of a FeIIIOH ligand radical complex, [FeIII(L˙)(OH)] (2), which is hereby characterized by UV-visible, 1H nuclear magnetic resonance, electron paramagnetic resonance, and X-ray absorption spectroscopy techniques. The reaction of 2 with a triphenylcarbon radical further gives triphenylmethanol and mimics the so-called oxygen rebound step of Cpd II of cytochrome P450. Furthermore, the reaction of 2 was explored with different 4-substituted-2,6-di-tert-butylphenols. Based on kinetic analysis, a hydrogen atom transfer (HAT) mechanism has been established. A pKa value of 19.3 and a BDFE value of 78.2 kcal/mol have been estimated for complex 2.

One-electron oxidation of an FeIII–OH complex (1) results in the formation of a FeIII–OH ligand radical complex (2). Its reaction with (C6H5)3C˙ results in the formation of (C6H5)3COH, which is a functional mimic of compound II of cytochrome P450.  相似文献

Adiabatic electron affinities, optimized molecular geometries, and IR-active vibrational frequencies have been predicted for small cyclic hydrocarbon radicals C(n)H(2)(n)(-)(1) (n = 3-6) and their perfluoro counterparts C(n)F(2)(n)(-)(1) (n = 3-6). Total energies and optimized geometries of the radicals and corresponding anions have been obtained using carefully calibrated (Chem. Rev. 2002, 102, 231) density functional methods, namely, the B3LYP, BLYP, and BP86 functionals in conjunction with the DZP++ basis set. The predicted electron affinities show that only the cyclopropyl radical tends to bind electrons among the hydrocarbon radicals studied. The trend for the perfluorocarbon (PFC) radicals is quite different. The electron affinities increase with expanding ring size until n = 5 and then slightly decrease at n = 6. Predicted electron affinities of the hydrocarbon radicals using the B3LYP hybrid functional are 0.24 eV (C(3)H(5)/C(3)H(5)(-)), -0.19 eV (C(4)H(7)/C(4)H(7)(-)), -0.15 eV (C(5)H(9)/C(5)H(9)(-)), and -0.11 eV (C(6)H(11)/C(6)H(11)(-)). Analogous electron affinities of the perflurocarbon radicals are 2.81 eV (C(3)F(5)/C(3)F(5)(-)), 3.18 eV (C(4)F(7)/C(4)F(7)(-)), 3.34 eV (C(5)F(9)/C(5)F(9)(-)), and 3.21 eV (C(6)F(11)/C(6)F(11)(-)).  相似文献

Late-stage C−H glycosylations of structurally complex amino acids and peptides were accomplished by means of racemization-free manganese(I)-catalyzed C−H activation. Thus, glycosylative modifications proved to be viable by a linch-pin approach, featuring chemo- and site-selective C−H transformations. The peptide–saccharide conjugation provided modular access to structurally complex glycopeptides, likewise enabling the assembly of fluorescent-labelled glycopeptides.  相似文献

Both molecular and crystal‐engineering approaches were exploited to synthesize a new class of multidrug‐containing supramolecular gelators. A well‐known nonsteroidal anti‐inflammatory drug, namely, indomethacin, was conjugated with six different l ‐amino acids to generate the corresponding peptides having free carboxylic acid functionality, which reacted further with an antiviral drug, namely, amantadine, a primary amine, in 1:1 ratio to yield six primary ammonium monocarboxylate salts. Half of the synthesized salts showed gelation ability that included hydrogelation, organogelation and ambidextrous gelation. The gels were characterized by table‐top and dynamic rheology and different microscopic techniques. Further insights into the gelation mechanism were obtained by temperature‐dependent 1H NMR spectroscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, photoluminescence and dynamic light scattering. Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction studies on two gelator salts revealed the presence of 2D hydrogen‐bonded networks. One such ambidextrous gelator (capable of gelling both pure water and methyl salicylate, which are important solvents for biological applications) was promising in both mechanical (rheoreversible and injectable) and biological (self‐delivery) applications for future multidrug‐containing injectable delivery vehicles.  相似文献

The kinetics of the substitution reactions of [Pt(dach)(H2O)2]2+ and [Pt(en)(H2O)2]2+ (where ‘dach’ and ‘en’ are cis-1,2-diaminocyclohexane and ethylenediamine, respectively) with excess N,N′-diethylthiourea have been studied in aqueous solution by UV–Vis spectrophotometry. The effect of different N–N spectator ligands on the reactivity of platinum(II) complexes was investigated by studying the water lability of the reactant complexes. The kinetic study has been substantiated by product isolation, IR, NMR and ESI-MS spectral analysis and DFT calculations. The reactions follow normal square-planar substitution mainly in an associative way. Rate parameters have been evaluated under different conditions. The substitution rates of the complexes studied can be tuned through the nature of the N–N chelates, which is important in the development of new active compounds for cancer therapy.  相似文献

A heterobimetallic supramolecular polymer (polyRuFe) with alternately complexed Ru(II) and Fe(II) is prepared following a stepwise synthetic route through harnessing first the strongly binding metal ion Ru(II) and then the weakly binding metal ion Fe(II). A high yield of product is achieved in each step. The heterometal ions are incorporated into the polymer chain in identical coordination environments formed by two 2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine moieties. Characterization is accomplished by NMR spectroscopy, MALDI–TOF mass spectrometry, UV–Vis spectroscopy, and cyclic voltammetry. PolyRuFe shows a wide optical window (λ = 311–577 nm) and a broad distinct reversible redox nature of two types, originated from the coupling of the two heterometallic segments into the polymer chain. Such characteristics of polyRuFe suggest its potential for various electrochemical and electro-optical applications.  相似文献
