Photolysis of organic pollutants in wastewater with 206 nm UV irradiation

A new-type UV light source(206 nm) was explored for the degradation of organic pollutants in wastewater for the first time.The degradation performances of triphenyltin chloride(TPTCl),dimethyl phthalate(DMP),as well as rhodamine B(RhB) were investigated.The results indicated that removal efficiency of 50 mg/L RhB,60 mg/L DMP and 120 mg/L TPTCl can reach 88.6%, 92.5%and 89.4%for 60 min,50 min and 75 min,respectively.By comparison of removal efficiency,we found 206 nm is superior to 253.7 nm UV in wastewat...     

Molecular imprinting of protein by coordinate interaction

In this article,a novel strong interaction by forming complex between bovine serum albumin(BSA) and copper ion was utilized for the preparation of molecular imprinted hydrogel in aqueous solution.Results show that the inclusion of copper ion in preparation can bridge the template BSA and functional monomers together and improve the imprinting effect compared to the polymer made without copper ion added.High selectivity factor and large adsorption capacity are also observed for the obtained BSA-imprinted ...     

Application of potassium ferricyanide in the spectrophotometric determination of captopril

A novel method for the determination of captopril by speetrophotometer is described in this paper. The experiment is based on the fact that Fe(Ⅲ) is reduced to Fe(Ⅱ) by captopril, then the in situ formed Fe(Ⅱ) reacts with potassium ferricyanide to give the soluble prussian blue at pH 4.00, and its maximal adsorption wavelength (λmax) is 735 nm. Good linear relationship is obtained between the absorbance and the concentration of captopril in the wide range of 0.05-20 μg/mL. The linear regression equation is A = -0.04314 + 0.11423C (μg/mL) with a correlation coefficient R = 0.9998. The detection limit (3a/k) is 0.04 μg/mL, the molar absorption coefficient is 2.5×104 L/mol cm. By mensurating the absorbance of soluble prussian blue, the indirect determination of eaptopril can be obtained. This method has been successfully applied to determination of captopril in pharmaceutical samples.Analytical results obtained are satisfactory.

A facile,efficient and substrate-selective oxidation of aldehydes to carboxylic acids with NaClO catalyzed byβ-cyclodextrin in water has been developed.A series of aldehydes which could form inclusion complex withβ-cyclodextrin(β-CD)were oxidized selectively with excellent yields.     

Biomimetic transformation of gentiopicroside to erythrocentaurin

Biomimetic transformation of gentiopicroside was carried out byβ-glucosidase at pH 7.0 for 3 days at 37℃.Two products, etythrocentaurin and 5,6-dihydro-5-formyl-6-methyl-1H,3H-pyrano[3,4-c]pyran-1-one were isolated and identified by ~1H NMR, ~(13)C NMR,UV,IR,MS and elemental analyse.The possible mechanisms were discussed.     

Two new ent-kaurane diteroenoids from Isodon excisoides

Two new ent-kaurane diterpenoids taihangexcisoidesin A and B(1 and 2),were isolated from the EtOAc extract of the leaves of Isodon excisoides.Their structures were determined on the basis of spectroscopic methods.     

Electroanalysis and simultaneous determination of dopamine and epinephrine at poly(isonicotinic acid)-modified carbon paste electrode in the presence of ascorbic acid

A carbon paste electrode modified with electropolymerized fills of isonicotinic acid was developed.The modified electrode shows excellent electrocatalytic activity toward the oxidation of both dopamine(DA)and epinephrine(EP).Separation of the reduction peak potentials for dopamine and epinephrine was about 357 mV in pH 5.3 phosphate buffer solution(PBS)and the character was used for the detection DA and EP simultaneously.The peak currents increase linearly with DA and EP concentration over the range of 8.0×10-5 to 7.0×10-4 mol/L and 5.0×10-6 to 1.0×10-4 mol/L with detection limits of 2 × 10-5 and 1×10-6 mol/L,respectively.The interference studies showed that the modified electrode exhibits excellent selectivity in the presence of large excess of ascorbic acid(AA).     

Highly stable supramolecular hydrogels formed from 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid and hydroxyl pyridines

New supramolecular hydrogels with the maximal sol-gel transition temperature(T_(gel)) of 95℃were obtained by using gelators formed from 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid(BTA) and para-hydroxyl pyridine(PHP) or meta-hydroxyl pyridine(MHP).The single crystal structure of the complex formed from BTA and ortho-hydroxyl pyridine(OHP) indicated that the molecules assembled into superstructure via both hydrogen bonds andπ-πstacking interaction.
