Exact traveling wave solutions for resonance nonlinear Schrödinger equation with intermodal dispersions and the Kerr law nonlinearity

The main aim of this article is to present some new exact solutions of the resonant nonlinear Schrödinger equation. These solutions are derived by using the generated exponential rational function method (GERFM). The kink‐type, bright, dark, and singular soliton solutions are reported, and several numerical simulations are also included. The calculations are carried out by Maple software. All of the solutions that are derived in this paper are believed to be new and have presumably not been reported in earlier publications.     

Synthesis and structural characterization of three dinuclear Copper(II) complexes incorporating pyrazolyl-derived ligands

Three new binuclear copper complexes of formulae $ \left[ {{\text{Cu}}_{2}^{\text{II}} {\text{Pz}}_{2}^{\text{Me3}} {\text{Br}}_{ 2} \left( {{\text{PPh}}_{ 3} } \right)_{ 2} } \right] $ (1), $ \left[ {{\text{Cu}}_{ 2}^{\text{II}} {\text{Pz}}_{2}^{\text{Ph2Me}} {\text{Cl}}_{ 2} \left( {{\text{PPh}}_{ 3} } \right)_{ 2} } \right] $ (2) and $ \left[ {{\text{Cu}}_{2}^{\text{II}} \left( {{\text{Pz}}^{\text{PhMe}} } \right)_{ 4} {\text{Cl}}_{ 4} } \right] $ (3) (Pz^Me3?=?3,4,5-trimethylpyrazole, Pz^Ph2Me?=?4-methyl-3,5-diphenylpyrazole and Pz^PhMe?=?3-methyl-5-phenylpyrazole) have been synthesized and characterized by chemical analysis, FTIR and ³¹P NMR spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 is a doubly bromo-bridged dimer, while complexes 2 and 3 are chloro-bridged dimers. The Cu(II) centers are in a distorted tetrahedral geometry for 1 and 2 and a distorted square pyramidal N₂Cl₃ environment for 3.     

A Practical and Eco-Friendly Method for Conversion of Epoxides to Thiiranes with Immobilized Thiourea on CaCO3

Abstract

Solvent-free conversion of various epoxides to the corresponding thiiranes was carried out efficiently with immobilized thiourea on CaCO₃. The reactions were completed within 1–12 min under oil bath (60 °C–70 °C) conditions to afford thiiranes in 88%–98% yields.

Common Intersection Points of Bulk Modulus for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Mixtures

During recent developments on the theories and experimental techniques of compressed liquids and liquid mixtures, it has been revealed that there exist some regularities. Among these, the regularity found by Huang and O'Connell is that the isotherms of reduced bulk modulus of compressed liquids as a function of molar volume intersect at a common point. This intersection is a useful tool for evaluating the reliability of an equation of state (EOS) for producing equilibrium properties of matter. This paper also deals with an extension of the above regularity to some liquefied natural gas (LNG) mixtures including: N₂+CH₄, N₂+C₂H₆, CH₄+C₂H₆, CH₄+C₃H₈, and CH₄+C₄H₁₀ at different temperatures. The present work gives a theoretical analysis for the common bulk modulus point in terms of a statistical‐mechanical equation of state for mixtures. In addition, we have calculated excess molar volume of N₂+CH₄ mixture in terms of temperature and compared it with experimental values.     

A Green Protocol for Solvent-Free Conversion of Epoxides to Thiiranes with Dowex-50WX8–Supported Thiourea

Structurally different epoxides were efficiently converted to the corresponding thiiranes by Dowex-50WX8–supported thiourea under solvent-free conditions. The reactions were carried out either in an oil bath or under microwave irradiation to give the thiiranes in 75–98% yields within 30 sec–120 min.
