The precise discrimination of microbes based on family, class and drug resistivity is essential for the early diagnosis of infectious diseases. Information about the type and strength of drug resistivity can help the analyst to prescribe a suitable antibiotic at the proper dosage to completely eradicate microbes without giving them a chance to gain further resistance. Herein, we propose a sensor array based on the use of cationic two-dimensional MoS2 units and green fluorescence protein as building blocks. Cationic surfaces of receptors with various functionality were suitable for tunable interaction with anionic surfaces of microbes. The array successfully discriminates six different bacterial strains. The versatile ability of the receptors to bind with the wild-type as well as the corresponding ampicillin-resistant strain contributed significantly to rapid detection with high sensitivity. The optimized array was able to classify five different types and three different extents of drug-resistant variants of Escherichia coli by using bacteria cells and lysates. Finally, we have introduced the cross identification method using both bacteria cells and lysates and we found a great enhancement of detection in sensitivity and accuracy. Physicochemical properties of aqueous micellar solutions may change in the presence of ionic liquids (ILs). Micelles help to increase the aqueous solubility of ILs. The average size of the micellar aggregates within aqueous sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate (SDBS) is observed by dynamic light scattering (DLS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) to increase in a sudden and drastic fashion as the IL 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([bmim][PF(6)]) is added. Similar addition of [bmim][PF(6)] to aqueous sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) results in only a slow gradual increase in average aggregate size. While addition of the IL [bmim][BF(4)] also gives rise to sudden aggregate size enhancement within aqueous SDBS, the IL 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([emim][BF(4)]), and inorganic salts NaPF(6) and NaBF(4), only gradually increase the assembly size upon their addition. Bulk dynamic viscosity, microviscosity, dipolarity (indicated by the fluorescent reporter pyrene), zeta potential, and electrical conductance measurements were taken to gain insight into this unusual size enhancement. It is proposed that bmim(+) cations of the IL undergo Coulombic attractive interactions with anionic headgroups at the micellar surface at all [bmim][PF(6)] concentrations in aqueous SDS; in aqueous SDBS, beyond a critical IL concentration, bmim(+) becomes involved in cation-π interaction with the phenyl moiety of SDBS within micellar aggregates with the butyl group aligned along the alkyl chain of the surfactant. This relocation of bmim(+) results in an unprecedented size increase in micellar aggregates. Aromaticity of the IL cation alongside the presence of sufficiently aliphatic (butyl or longer) alkyl chains on the IL appear to be essential for this dramatic critical expansion in self-assembly dimensions within aqueous SDBS. 相似文献

Fluctuations on the electrical conductivity of polycrystalline YBa2Cu3O7?δ + xBaZrO3 (x = 1.0, 2.5, 5.0 and 10.0 wt.%) superconductors were investigated from the resistivity vs. temperature data for zero field and 8 T (Tesla) external magnetic fields. Attempts have been made to identify the optimum inclusion of BaZrO3 (BZO) in YBa2Cu3O7?δ (YBCO) superconductors. The phase formation, texture and grain alignments were analyzed by XRD and SEM techniques. Then the effects of superconducting fluctuations on the electrical conductivity of granular composite superconductors were studied for zero field and 8 T external magnetic fields. Though inclusions of BZO sub-micron particles are not expected to influence superconducting order-parameter fluctuation (SCOPF) much, the transition from 2D to 3D of the order parameter in the mean-field region depends on the BZO content in the composites. It has been observed that BZO residing at the grain boundary of YBCO matrix influences the tailing region without having significant change in the mean-field critical temperature. In the present work, attention has been focused mostly in the experimental domain relatively above the Tc. It reveals that, 1 wt.% composite exhibits a better superconducting property in comparison with pure YBCO. 相似文献

The effect of adsorbate molecules on the quadrupolar interaction of framework aluminum atoms with the electric field gradient in dehydrated zeolite H,Na-Y has been studied by (27)Al MAS NMR and (27)Al MQMAS NMR spectroscopy at magnetic fields of 9.4 and 17.6 T. Upon adsorption of molecules interacting with bridging OH groups by hydrogen bonds (acetonitrile and acetone), the quadrupole coupling constant of framework aluminum atoms was found to decrease from 16.0 MHz (unloaded zeolite) to 9.4 MHz. Adsorption of molecules, which cause a proton transfer from the zeolite framework to the adsorbates (ammonia and pyridine), reduces the quadrupole coupling constant to 3.8 MHz for coverages of 0.5-2 molecules per bridging OH group. The experiments indicate that the quadrupole coupling constant of framework aluminum atoms in dehydrated zeolite H,Na-Y reflects the chemical state of adsorbate complexes formed at bridging OH groups. In agreement with earlier investigations it was found that a proton affinity of the adsorbate molecules of PA = 812-854 kJ/mol is necessary to induce a proton transfer from the zeolite framework to the adsorbed compounds. This proton transfer is accompanied by a strong improvement of the tetrahedral symmetry of zeolitic framework AlO(4) tetrahedra and a decrease of the electric field gradient. 相似文献

Abstract
Intermolecular interactions of 7-(RCONH)-[1H]-2-oxo-1,8-naphthyridines (R = Me, Et, i-Pr, t-Bu, 1-adamantyl (1-Ad), CF3, and C2F5) containing ADAD quadruple hydrogen bonding motif were studied by liquid and solid state NMR, ESI-MS, IR, and DFT calculations. 1H NMR was used to determine the dimerization constants of i-Pr and 1-Ad congeners in CDCl3. 13C and 15N cross-polarization (CP) magic angle spinning (MAS) NMR data suggest that compounds possess similar solid state structures. Further, mass spectral data reveal that in gas phase both Me and 1-Ad derivatives form also multimers due to lack of competitive solvent interactions. The structures of the gas phase multimers depend on the size of the alkyl group. These results are in agreement with quantum chemical calculations. Geometry optimization and 1H NMR spectra show that in dimers that carry bulky alkyl groups (t-Bu and 1-Ad) certain hydrogen bonds are weaker than in Me, Et, and i-Pr derivatives while strong electron acceptors, CF3 and C2F5, deshields hydrogen bonded protons but creates significant electronic F/O repulsion yielding lowering of the energy of interaction. Single‐bi‐layer of Ni–Ti thin film was deposited using DC and RF magnetron sputtering technique by layer‐wise deposition of Ni and Ti on Si(100) substrate in the order of Ni as the bottom layer and Ti as the top layer. The deposition of these amorphous as‐deposited thin films was followed by annealing at 300 °C, 400 °C, 500 °C, and 600 °C temperature with 1‐h annealing time for each to achieve crystalline thin films. This paper describes the fabrication processes and the novel characterization techniques of the as‐deposited as well as the annealed thin films. Microstructures were analysed using FESEM and HRTEM. Nano‐indentation and AFM were carried out to characterize the mechanical properties and surface profiles of the films. It was found that, for the annealing temperatures of 300 °C to 600 °C, the increase in annealing temperature resulted in gradual increase in atomic‐cluster coarsening with improved ad‐atom mobility. Phase analyses, performed by GIXRD, showed the development of silicide phases and intermetallic compounds. Cross‐sectional micrographs exhibited the inter‐diffusion between the two‐layer constituents, especially at higher temperatures, which resulted either in amorphization or in crystallization after annealing at temperatures above 400 °C.
