Metal foil targets were irradiated with 1 mum wavelength (lambda) laser pulses of 5 ps duration and focused intensities (I) of up to 4x10;{19} W cm;{-2}, giving values of both Ilambda;{2} and pulse duration comparable to those required for fast ignition inertial fusion. The divergence of the electrons accelerated into the target was determined from spatially resolved measurements of x-ray K_{alpha} emission and from transverse probing of the plasma formed on the back of the foils. Comparison of the divergence with other published data shows that it increases with Ilambda;{2} and is independent of pulse duration. Two-dimensional particle-in-cell simulations reproduce these results, indicating that it is a fundamental property of the laser-plasma interaction.  相似文献

Experiments were performed in which intense laser pulses (up to 9x10(19) W/cm(2)) were used to irradiate very thin (submicron) mass-limited aluminum foil targets. Such interactions generated high-order harmonic radiation (greater than the 25th order) which was detected at the rear of the target and which was significantly broadened, modulated, and depolarized because of passage through the dense relativistic plasma. The spectral modifications are shown to be due to the laser absorption into hot electrons and the subsequent sharply increasing relativistic electron component within the dense plasma.  相似文献

Banana fiber (BF)-reinforced low-density polyethylene (LDPE) unidirectional composites were fabricated by the compression molding process with 40 wt% fiber loading. The fibers were modified with methylacrylate (MA) mixed with methanol (MeOH) along with 2% benzyl peroxide under thermal curing method at different temperatures (50–90 °C) for different curing times (10–50 min) in order to have better compatibility with the matrix. The effect of fiber surface modification on the mechanical properties (tensile and impact properties) of the composites were evaluated. Monomer concentration, curing temperature, and curing time were optimized in terms of polymer loading and mechanical properties. The mechanical properties were found to be improved based on the improved interaction between the reinforcement and the matrix. Optimized BFs were again treated with 2–5 wt% starch solutions and composites made of 4% starch treated BF showed the highest mechanical properties than that of MA treated composites. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was performed to get an insight into the morphology of the composites. Water uptake and soil degradation test of the composites were also investigated.  相似文献

Samples of CeIV-substituted bismuth vanadate, formulated as Bi4CexV2−xO11−(x/2)−δ; 0≤x≤0.30, were synthesized by solid-state reactions. The phase structure and electrical conductivity were investigated using X-ray powder diffraction, FT-IR, differential thermal analysis and AC impedance spectroscopy. For a low composition range, two phase transitions, α↔β and β↔γ, were exhibited in which the system mimics in most events the parent compound. Impedance analysis evidenced no relationship between the blocking effect of charge carriers and structural changes at ambient temperatures. However, the temperature dependence of conductivity was correlated with the stability region of various phases within the system.  相似文献

Supermacroporous poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) [poly(HEMA)] monolithic cryogel was prepared by radical cryocopolymerization of HEMA with N,N??-methylene bisacrylamide as crosslinker. Reactive Green 5 dye was immobilized to the cryogel with nucleophilic substitution reaction, and this dye attached cryogel column was used for affinity purification of papain from Carica papaya latex. Reactive Green 5-immobilized poly(HEMA) cryogel was characterized by swelling studies, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and energy dispersive X-ray analysis. Maximum papain adsorption capacity was found to be 68.5?mg/g polymer while nonspecific papain adsorption onto plain cryogel was negligible (3.07?mg/g polymer). Papain from C. papaya was purified 42-fold in single step with dye attached cryogel, and purity of papain was shown by silver-stained sodium dodecyl sulfate?Cpolyacrylamide gel electrophoresis.  相似文献

Summary Membrane potentials across parchment supported manganese ferrocyanide membrane for various electrolytes over a wide concentration range have been studied. It was found that the membrane potential increases with dilution of the external electrolyte solutions. The fixed charge density of the membrane has been evaluated byAltug andHair's method and comes out to be −0.06 N. The variation of the transport number of the counterions in the membrane phase and perm-selectivity of the membrane with dilution have also been studied.

Das Membranpotential nahm mit der zunehmenden Verdünnung zu. Die fixierte Ladungsdichte wurde nachAltug undHair ermittelt und betrug −0.06 N. Die ?nderung der überführungszahl der Gegenionen in die Membranphase und die Permselektivit?t der Membran wurden ebenfalls bestimmt.

Kinetics and the mechanism of the reaction between mercuric bromoidide and silver iodide in solid state were studied by X-ray, chemical analysis, thermal, and electrical conductivity measurements. HgBrI and AgI react in the molar ratio 1:3 to give AgBr and Ag2HgI4. The data for the lateral diffusion fit best in the equation Xin = kt. It has been established that the reaction proceeds via a vapor phase diffusion-controlled mechanism through counterdiffusion of Ag+ and Hg2+. There also seems to be some evidence for the formation of solid solutions between reactant and product phases.  相似文献

Electrical conductivity has been measured at different temperatures for ZrO2 doped with various molar ratios of CuO. The conductivity increases due to migration of vacancies, created by doping. The conductivity was found to increase with increase in temperature till 220℃ and thereafter decrease due to collapse of the fluorite framework. A second rise in conductivity around 500 ℃ was observed due to phase transition of ZrO2. X-ray powder diffraction, DTA and IR studies were carried out for confirming doping effect and phase transition in ZrO2.  相似文献
