Dithiophosphorylation of nerol and geraniol trimethylsilyl derivatives

Reaction of tetraphosphorus decasulfide with О-(cis- and trans-3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dien-1-yl)-trimethylsilanes affords О,О-bis(cis- and trans-3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dien-1-yl) S-(trimethylsilyl)dithiophosphates.     

Competitive Coordination of Metals by Phosphorus and Sulfur in Complexes with Polydentate Ligands Containing P(III)-S Bonds

A series of complexes of thiophosphites with transition metals has been studied by X-ray single crystal diffraction: CuHalLP(SR)₃, CuHalLP(SR)₃LNCMe, CuBrLP(SEt)₂NEt₂, CuSCNLP(SR)₃, CpMn(CO)₂LP(SR)₃, ArCr(CO)₂LP(SR)₃, with Hal = Cl, Br, I and R = Me, Et, Pr, i-Pr, Bu, Ph. Depending on the metal center, substituents R at sulfur, the conditions of reactions and crystal growth, different coordination modes have been observed: “classical” monodentate binding via phosphorus, unusual bidentate mode with participation of both P and S donor atoms of the ambident P – S system, as well as both monodentate and bidentate modes in one complex.     

Novel cyclic tetraphosphetanes: Molecular and crystal structures of diethylammonium and piperidinium salts of 1,2,3,4-tetramercapto-1,2,3,4-tetrathioxotetraphosphetane

Crystal structures of novel tetrakis(diethylammonium) and tetra(piperidinium) salts of 1,2,3,4-tetramercapto-1,2,3,4-tetrathioxotetraphosphetane are determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. It is found that the substitution of the piperidinium cation for the diethylammonium one results in a change in the nature of charge distribution in crystals of the compounds, but the nature of supramolecular structures originating from intermolecular hydrogen bonding is preserved. Stoichiometry of the composition and phosphorus-containing anions turn out to be identical in both cases.     

Reaction of triethyl trithiophosphite with aromatic aldehydes in the presence of N-phenylthiourea

Conclusions Triethyl trithiophosphite reacts with benzaldehyde and anisaldehyde in the presence of N-phenylthiourea to form S,S-diethyl-1-(N-phenylthioureo)-N-benzyldithiophosphonates.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 11, pp. 2597–2598, November, 1987.
