Acid and alkaline catalysis in exchange reactions of phosphorous thioesters

Effect of iodine on the reaction of tetraphosphorus decasulfide with dialkyl disulfides

Elemental iodine decreases the temperature of the reaction of P₄S₁₀ with disulfides which results in the formation of trialkyl tetrathiolothionophosphates, from 100–110 °C to 20–60 °C. The latter decompose to trialkyl tetrathiophosphates.     

Reactions of mixed O,S-esters of acids of trivalent phosphorus with substituted 1-chloroacetylenes

The reactions of mixed O,S-esters oftert-butylthiophosphonous acid and dithiophosphorous acid with 1-chloro-2-organylacetylenes were studied. On the basis of them, a convenient method for the synthesis of thioesters of organylethynylthiophosphinic and dithiophosphonic acids, which are undescribed in the literature, was proposed. A difference was found in the chemical behavior of the methyl ester of S,S-diethyldithiophosphorous acid by comparison with the corresponding complete esters and thioesters of phosphorous acid in reactions with dichloroacetylene.A. Reactions of α-Haloaldehydes with Triethyl Phosphorotrithioite

Triethyl phosphorotrithioite reacts with linear and cyclic α-mono- and α,α-dihaloaldehydes by the Perkow reaction scheme to form O-vinyl phosphorotrithioates. Synthesis and X-ray crystal structure of complexes Cp(CO)2MnP(SR)3 (R = Pri,Ph)

Cp(CO)₂Mn · THF reacts in THF with thiosters of phosphorus acid, P(SR)₃, to give new complexes Cp(CO)₂MnP(SR)₃ in which the manganese atom is coordinated to the phosphorus atom. The X-ray crystal structure of compounds with R = Prⁱ and Ph was established. The metal atom has a coordination enviroment of the three-legged piano stool type. The bond angles OC-Mn-CO and OC-Mn-P are 90.6–95.9(4)°. Bond distances are: Mn-P 2.188(2) and 2.171(2) E, P-S 2.097(3)-2.137(3) E.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Synthesis and Structure of Copper(II) Phosphonodithioite Complexes

A series of new complexes of CuBr with phosphonodithioites were prepared and characterized by NMR and IR spectroscopy.
