A new series of linked heterocyclics, 3-[4-(4-chlorophenyl)-6-(3,5-dimethyl-1-phenyl-1H-4-pyrazolyl)-2-pyrimidinyl]-2-(aryl/heteryl)-1,3-thiazolan-4-ones (6a-j), has been synthesized by the one-pot cyclo-condensation of 4-(4-chlorophenyl)-6-(3,5-dimethyl-1-phenyl-1H-4-pyrazolyl)-2-pyrimidinamine (5), aryl/heteroaryl aldehyde and thioglycolic acid. The structures of the synthesized compounds have been confirmed via IR, (1)H-NMR, (13)C-NMR, MS and elemental analyses. Further, all the newly synthesized compounds 6a-j have been assayed for their antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and fungi. The compounds containing moieties like 4-nitrophenyl (6c), 3-nitrophenyl (6d), 4-dimethylaminophenyl (6g), 2-furyl (6i) and 1,3-benzodioxole (6j), at 2-position of thiazolidin-4-one ring exhibited good inhibitory activity against all the tested organisms.  相似文献

Lifetime of levels up to 22+, have been measured in 78Kr and an oblate shape is assigned to the ground state using the CSM and the configuration dependent shell correction calculations. Calculations further show that 78Kr is highly γ-soft nucleus. The experimental Q t values coupled with theoretical calculations indicate an oblate shape for 78Kr at low spins and triaxial shape at higher spins  相似文献

Cyclic homooligomers of mannose-derived furanoid sugar amino acid 1 [H-Maa(Bn(2))-OH] were synthesized by using BOP reagent in the presence of DIPEA under dilute conditions that converted the sugar amino acid monomer directly into its cyclic homooligomers 3a and 4a. The glucose-based sugar amino acid 2 [H-Gaa(Bn(2))-OH] under the same reaction conditions gave a bicyclic lactam 5a as the major product. Cyclic homooligomers of 2 were prepared by cyclizing their linear precursors 6 and 7 leading to the formation of cyclic peptides 8a and 9a, respectively. Conformational analysis by NMR and constrained MD studies revealed that all the cyclic products, 3, 4, 8, and 9, had symmetrical structures. The deprotected cyclic trimer of Maa 3b displayed a conformation in which all the C=O and the N-H bonds of the molecule point in opposite directions. In the deprotected cyclic tetramer of Maa 4b, the COs and NHs were in the plane of the ring with the former pointing to outside and the latter inside the ring. The structure of the cyclic Gaa dimer 8b displayed an unusual six-membered intramolecular hydrogen bond between NH(i)() --> C3-O(i)()(-)(1) and a syn orientation between the C2-H and CO. In this molecule, the C2-hydrogens and the COs can be seen on one side of the ring while the NHs point to the other side. Addition of the bicyclic lactam 5b resulted in the influx of Na(+) ions across the lipid bilayer leading to the dissipation of valinomycin-mediated K(+) diffusion potential.  相似文献

The bidentate ligand diformylhydrazine (OHC-HN-NH-CHO), DFH, combines with iron(II) and iron(III) in alkaline media in the pH range 7.3-9.3 to form an intensely colored red-purple iron(III) complex with an absorption maximum at 470 nm. Beer's law is obeyed for iron concentrations from 0.25 to 13 microg mL(-1). The molar absorptivity was in the range 0.3258x10(4)-0.3351x10(4) L mol(-1) cm(-1) and Sandell's sensitivity was found to be 0.0168 microg cm(-2). The method has been applied to the determination of iron in industrial waste, ground water, and pharmaceutical samples.  相似文献

Acoustic field assisted demixing was employed to decrease the demixing time in aqueous two-phase systems (polyethylene glycol-maltodextrin and polyethylene glycol-potassium phosphate). Application of acoustic field has decreased the demixing time in polyethylene glycol-maltodextrin by around twofold and up to about 3.2-fold in polyethylene glycol-potassium phosphate systems. Ultrasonication has induced mild circulation currents in the phase dispersion, which has enhanced the rate of droplet coalescence, eventually resulting in decreased demixing time. In the polyethylene glycol-maltodextrin system, phase demixing was found to depend greatly on which of the phases iscontinuous and viscosity of the continuous phase was observed to have a strong influence on the movement of the droplets and hence controlling the phase demixing rate. In case of the polyethylene glycol-potassium phosphate system, droplet coalescence was found to play a critical role in phase demixing. Addition of NaCl increased the demixing time and presence of Escherichia coli cells did not seem to have any influence on phase demixing.  相似文献

Electrokinetic demixing of aqueous two-phase polymer/salt systems is demonstrated, resulting in significant enhancement in demixing rates by about 1-4-fold. The effect of field polarity, field strength, volume ratio, and phase composition on phase demixing has been studied. A numerical and experimental investigation for determining mixed-mode stress intensity factors, fracture toughness, and crack turning angle for BX-265 foam insulation material, used by NASA to insulate the external tank (ET) for the space shuttle, is presented. BX-265 foam is a type of spray-on foam insulation (SOFI), similar to the material used to insulate attics in residential construction. This cellular material is a good insulator and is very lightweight. Breakup of segments of this foam insulation on the shuttle ET impacting the shuttle thermal protection tiles during liftoff is believed to have caused the space shuttle Columbia failure during re-entry. NASA engineers are interested in understanding the processes that govern the breakup/fracture of this material from the shuttle ET. The foam is anisotropic in nature and the required stress and fracture mechanics analysis must include the effects of the direction dependence on material properties. Material testing at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) has indicated that the foam can be modeled as a transversely isotropic material. As a first step toward understanding the fracture mechanics of this material, we present a general theoretical and numerical framework for computing stress intensity factors (SIFs), under mixed-mode loading conditions, taking into account the material anisotropy. We present SIFs for middle tension – M(T) – test specimens, using 3D finite element stress analysis (ANSYS) and FRANC3D fracture analysis software. SIF values are presented for a range of foam material orientations. Mode I fracture toughness of the material is determined based on the SIF value at failure load. We also present crack turning angles for anisotropic foam material under mixed-mode loading. The results represent a quantitative basis for evaluating the strength and fracture properties of anisotropic foam insulation material.  相似文献

A novel chemo-enzymatic synthesis of (S)-rivastigmine using ketoreductases with NADH/NADPH as the proton donor has been demonstrated. An exclusive enzymatic process has been developed by exploring the possible ketoreductases by screening to identify enzymes useful for the preparation of the (S)-isomer intermediate, and scaling up of the enzymatic process for the production of an adequate, enantiomerically pure precursor of rivastigmine and for the total synthesis of (S)-rivastigmine.  相似文献
