Intrinsic radiosensitivity of normal and tumour tissues has been shown to be an independent prognostic factor for patients’ response to radiotherapy. This study compares the real-time cell-impedance sensing (RT-CES) assay with the conventional clonogenic assay in terms of in-vitro radiosensitivity. One objective in this study was to predict in-vivo response to gold nanoparticle (GNP) treatment on the basis of in-vitro RT-CES testing results. Four adenocarcinoma cancer cell lines were tested using both the RT-CES and the clonogenic assays. Cell-survival curves were plotted, and the mean SF2 values obtained by these two different assay methods were compared using ANOVA. Radiation sensitivities obtained in-vitro were then compared with the in-vivo results. On the basis of the measurement of cell colonies, the RT-CES assay has similar radiosensitivity to the clonogenic assay, but significantly shortens the testing time from 14–21 days to only 72 h. Intrinsic GNP enhanced radiation sensitivity using tumour volume (mm3) in vivo is comparable with that using RT-CES cell survival assay in vitro. Furthermore, the RT-CES system provides real-time information regarding the state of cell radiosensitivity that may give useful information towards personalizing radiotherapy. The RT-CES assay enables more reliable and time-efficient results in the evaluation of radiosensitivity.  相似文献

In this research, a manganese dioxide/multiwalled carbon nanotube (MnO2/MWCNT) was firstly synthesized and characterized and then was applied as an effective sorbent for removing Cu2+ ions from aqueous solution. The effects of initial concentration, temperature, contact time, pH solution, and sorbent dosage were investigated and the optimum value of each was determined. The Langmuir isotherm model, Freundlich model, and Temkin model were used to fit our experimental results. Ultimately, using the Van't Hoff approach, the thermodynamic functions of the intended adsorption phenomenon such as ΔH°ad, ΔS°ad, and ΔG°ad were estimated.  相似文献

In the relation between the linear (L) supersymmetry (SUSY) representation and the nonlinear (NL) SUSY representation we discuss the role of the Wess–Zumino gauge. We show in two-dimensional spacetime that a spontaneously broken LSUSY theory with mass and Yukawa interaction terms for a minimal off-shell vector supermultiplet is obtained from a general superfield without imposing any special gauge conditions in N=2N=2 NL/L SUSY relation.  相似文献

Dinitrogen (N2) activation and functionalization is of fundamental interest and practical importance. This review focuses on N2 activation and addition to unsaturated substrates, including carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, heteroallenes, aldehydes, ketones, acid halides, nitriles, alkynes, and allenes, mediated by transition metal complexes, which afforded a variety of N−C bond formation products. Emphases are placed on the reaction modes and mechanisms. We hope that this work would stimulate further explorations in this challenging field.  相似文献

Naphtho[1,8-bc]-1,5-dithiocin N-p-tosylsulfilimine ( 8 ) and monosulfoxide ( 9 ) were prepared. On treatment with conc. H2SO4, both the sulfilimine ( 8 ) and sulfoxide ( 9 ) gave the dithia dication which was converted to the sulfoxide by hydrolysis. The H–D exchange reaction of ( 8 ) took place highly regioselectively to afford the monodeuterated ( 8–D ) at the a-position of the N-tosyl group. The Pummerer rearrangement reaction of monooxide ( 9 ) with acetic anhydride gave the a-acetoxy derivative by the dication ( 10b ), while a new thio-Claisen rearrangement of sulfilimine ( 8 ) t-BuOK in CH2Cl2 gave 2-allyl-naphtho[1,8-bc]-1,5-dithiole. © John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献
