Preparation and characterization of theβ-cyclodextrin inclusion complex with sulfafurazole

The 1 : 1 inclusion complex involving sulfafurazole (SF) and-cyclodextrin (-CD) is prepared by the freeze-drying method and characterized on the basis of its chemical analysis, thermal behavior, infrared spectrum, X-ray powder pattern and¹³C NMR spectrum in DMSO-d₆ solution. The stability constant of the inclusion complex was determined by the solubility method. The effect of cyclodextrin on the UV absorption spectrum of sulfafurazole was also observed.     

Compact groups on compact projective planes

LetP=(P, L) be a compact projective plane with 0P< and let be a compact connected subgroup of Aut(P). If dim dimE – dimP, whereE is the elliptic motion group of the corresponding classical plane, then E or is isomorphic to a point stabilizerE ₀ inE, cf. [31]. Here we consider the case E ₀. It is shown that the action of on the point spaceP is equivalent to the classical action ofE ₀. For dimP {8, 16} the planeP is uniquely determined by a 2-dimensional subplane with SO₂ Aut().Für H. Mössbauer investigation of non-aggregated γ-Fe2O3 particles

Investigation by Mössbauer spectroscopy of non-aggregated nanometric -Fe₂O₃ particles dispersed in polymer is reported. Magnetic interactions between the particles were controlled by varying the particle concentration in the polymer. The results show that over the investigated range, the interactions make the relaxation time shorter. Infield experiments show spin canting which increases with decreasing particle size.     

Line Intensities in the ν6Band of CH3F at 8.5 μm

Infrared absolute line intensities of the ν₆band of CH₃F have been measured around 8.5 μm using a diode-laser spectrometer. These line strengths were obtained by the equivalent width method and, for 13 lines, by fitting a Rautian profile to the measured shape of the lines. From these results, we have deduced the vibrational band strength to beS⁰_v= 9.66 ± 0.13 cm⁻²atm⁻¹at 296 K and the first Herman–Wallis factors.
