The reuse of waste as well as the production of biodegradable compounds has for years been the object of studies and of global interest as a way to reduce the environmental impact generated by unsustainable exploratory processes. The conversion of linear processes into cyclical processes has environmental and economic advantages, reducing waste deposition and reducing costs. The objective of this work was to use biopolymer extraction waste in the cultivation of Spirulina sp. LEB 18, for the cyclic process of polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) synthesis. Concentrations of 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30% (v/v) of biopolymer extraction waste were tested. For comparison, two assays were used without addition of waste, Zarrouk (SZ) and modified Zarrouk (ZM), with reduction of nitrogen. The assays were carried out in triplicate and evaluated for the production of microalgal biomass and PHB. The tests with addition of waste presented a biomass production statistically equal to ZM (0.79 g L?1) (p?<?0.1). The production of PHB in the assay containing 25% of waste was higher when compared to the other cultivations, obtaining 10.6% (w/w) of biopolymer. From the results obtained, it is affirmed that the use of PHB extraction waste in the microalgal cultivation, aiming at the synthesis of biopolymers, can occur in a cyclic process, reducing process costs and the deposition of waste, thus favoring the preservation of the environment. 相似文献

Interpolyelectrolyte complex (IPEC) dispersions were prepared from chitosan and poly(sodium acrylate), NaPMA, by mixing their solutions, at different carboxyl-to-aminium molar ratios, rCA. Gyration radius was determined by small angle x-ray scattering (SAXS) and showed that, as rCA was increased, IPEC dimensions decreased and reached a minimum at rCA?=?0.75, which was considered the ratio at which IPEC cluster dimensions were minimum, following collapse, phase segregation, nucleation, and growth of larger particles. Pair distance distributions, P(r), became narrower up to rCA?=?0.75, increasing its width from this point. Relaxation-related parameters from dynamic light scattering (DLS) intensity correlation functions (ICFs) identified three main relaxation processes. The fast process, related to free polyelectrolyte molecules random motion disappeared as rCA, was increased. The other two relaxation processes also were a function of rCA and presented marked changes at rCA?=?0.75. At the same value of rCA, the energy of activation for the average relaxation rate showed the occurrence of a clear change in the nature of IPEC-related interactions. As hydrodynamic diameter, determined by DLS, was much larger than the gyration radius determined by SAXS, IPEC particles could be described as being composed by a core, rich in segregated, insoluble material, enveloped by IPEC soluble clusters, possibly in the form of water-rich gels. 相似文献

This work describes the electroanalytical determination of Chlorpyriphos pesticide in natural waters using hanging mercury drop electrode allied to square wave adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetry. The best responses were obtained in Britton?Robinson buffer solutions at pH 2.0, using a frequency of 100 s–1, a scan increment of 5 mV, a square wave amplitude of 25 mV and an accumulation potential of–0.4 V during 60 s. Therefore, voltammetric responses showed the presence of one well-defined and irreversible reduction peak, at–1.08 V vs. Ag/AgCl/KCl 1.0 M, which involves two electrons in the reduction of carbon?nitrogen bond in the N-heterocyclic system with the participation of protonation equilibrium preceding the electron transfer reaction. Analytical curves were constructed and compared to similar curves performed by gas chromatograph coupled to a selective nitrogen?phosphorus detector, which demonstrates that the proposed methodology is suitable for determining contamination by Chlorpyriphos in complex samples. 相似文献

The electrooxidation of ethylene glycol was studied using platinum–cadmium electrocatalysts supported on high surface area carbon Vulcan XC-72. This is the first instance of Cd being used as an electrocatalyst for glycol oxidation reaction. The catalysts were prepared with various Pt:Cd atomic ratios of 90:10, 80:20, and 70:30. All the catalysts prepared were synthesized by the alcohol reduction method with 20 wt.% metal on carbon. These materials were characterized morphologically by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and electrochemically by cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry. The electrochemical measurements were carried out at 25, 35, 45, and 55 °C, and the products of the electrochemical reaction were monitored by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The XRD patterns of all the PtCd catalysts presented cubic face-centered structures, and TEM revealed a homogeneous particle distribution on the carbon support with low agglomeration. The average particle size was assumed to be the maximum of the Gaussian distribution curve of particle size, at close to 2.5 nm. The presence of Cd results in an improvement in the glycol oxidation reaction, as observed by cyclic voltammetry; linear sweep voltammetry shows a lower onset potential compared to that of pure platinum. At a constant potential of 0.50 V (vs. RHE) at ambient temperature, HPLC showed glycolaldehyde to be the main byproduct formed from ethylene glycol oxidation at potential constant of 0.50 V. 相似文献

We give a general Hamiltonian formulation of the Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) fundamental equations of a homogeneous and isotropic universe in the Standard Cosmological model. It gives some interesting insight on the 3-curvature of the universe, which is found to be obtained in terms of the scale factor (also termed radius of the universe) and its first derivative.
