Noble metal carbide cluster cations (MC(n)(+), M = Cu, Au) are produced by laser vaporization in a pulsed molecular beam and detected with time-of-flight mass spectrometry. Copper favors the formation of carbides with an odd number of carbon atoms, while gold shows marked drops in ion intensity after clusters with 3, 6, 9, and 12 carbons. These clusters are mass selected and photodissociated at 355 nm. Copper carbides with an odd number of carbons fragment by eliminating the metal from the cluster; for the small species it is eliminated as Cu(+) and for the larger species it is lost as neutral Cu. Copper carbides with an even number of carbons also lose the metal, but in addition to this they eliminate neutral C(3). This even-odd alternation, with the even clusters having mixed fragments, holds true for clusters as large as CuC(30)(+). No loss of C(2) is observed for even the largest clusters studied, indicating that fullerene formation does not occur. The gold carbide photodissociation data closely parallel that of copper, with even clusters losing primarily C(3) and odd ones losing gold. Comparisons to known carbon cluster ionization potentials give some insight into the structures of carbon photofragments. DFT calculations performed on CuC(3-11)(+) allow comparisons of the energetics of isomers likely present in our experiment, and metal-carbon dissociation energies help explain the even-odd alternation in the fragmentation channels. The simplest picture of these metal-doped carbides consistent with all the data is that the small species have linear chain structures with the metal attached at the end, whereas the larger species have cyclic structures with the metal attached externally to a single carbon.  相似文献

We present surface reconstruction-induced C−C coupling whereby CO2 is converted into ethylene. The wurtzite phase of CuGaS2. undergoes in situ surface reconstruction, leading to the formation of a thin CuO layer over the pristine catalyst, which facilitates selective conversion of CO2 to ethylene (C2H4). Upon illumination, the catalyst efficiently converts CO2 to C2H4 with 75.1 % selectivity (92.7 % selectivity in terms of Relectron) and a 20.6 μmol g−1 h−1 evolution rate. Subsequent spectroscopic and microscopic studies supported by theoretical analysis revealed operando-generated Cu2+, with the assistance of existing Cu+, functioning as an anchor for the generated *CO and thereby facilitating C−C coupling. This study demonstrates strain-induced in situ surface reconstruction leading to heterojunction formation, which finetunes the oxidation state of Cu and modulates the CO2 reduction reaction pathway to selective formation of ethylene.  相似文献

The influence of the degree of intercalation of polymer chains in the two dimensional silicate galleries on the crystallization behavior of poly[(butylene succinate)-co-adipate] (PBSA) is being reported on. The nanocomposites were prepared by melt-blending of PBSA and organically modified montmorillonite (OMMT) in a batch-mixer. Two different types of commercially available OMMTs, with different extents of miscibility of organic modifiers with PBSA, were used, leading to highly delaminated and stacked/intercalated nanocomposite structures as revealed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) observations. The non-isothermal crystallization behavior of PBSA and the nanocomposite samples were studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Crystal growth kinetics studies showed that when silicate layers are highly delaminated into the PBSA matrix, nucleation behaviors decreased significantly, relative to the stacked/intercalated silicate layers. These observations indicate that the overall crystal growth kinetics retard in delaminated nanocomposites, opposed to increasing in the case of stacked/intercalated nanocomposites. Polarized optical microscopy (POM) observations and light scattering studies indicate that PBSA spherulites are fairly large and more perfectly grown in the case of delaminated nanocomposites, relative to the pure PBSA matrix. The effect of high levels of dispersion of silicate layers in the PBSA matrix on cold crystallization behavior was also studied.  相似文献

A general protocol for the synthesis of micro-oxo divanadium(V) compounds [LOV(micro-O)VO(Salen)] (1-5) incorporating coordination asymmetry has been developed for the first time. One of the vanadium centers in these compounds has an octahedral environment, completed by tetradentate Salen ligand, while the remaining center has square pyramidal geometry, made up of tridentate biprotic Schiff-base ligands (L2-) with ONO (1-3) and ONS (4, 5) type donor combinations. Single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, ESI-MS, and NMR (both 1H and 51V) spectroscopy have been used extensively to establish their identities. The V(1)-O(6)-V(2) bridge angle in these compounds, save 3, lie in a narrow range (166.20(9)-157.79(16) degrees) with the V2O3 core having a rare type of twist-angular structure, somewhat intermediate between the regular anti-linear and the syn-angular modes. For 3, however, the bridge angle is sufficiently smaller 117.92(8) degrees that it forces the V2O3 core to adopt an anti-angular geometry. The V(1)...V(2) separations in these molecules (3.7921(7)-3.3084(6) A) are by far the largest compared to their peers containing a V2O3 core. The molecules retain the binuclear structures also in solution as confirmed by NMR spectroscopy. Their redox behaviors appear quite interesting, each undergoing a one-electron reduction in the positive potential range (E1/2, 0.42-0.45 V vs Ag/AgCl) to generate a trapped-valence mixed-oxidation products [LVVO-(micro-O)-OVIV(salen)]1-, confirmed by combined coulometry-EPR experiments. The bent V-O-V bridge in these molecules probably prevents the symmetry-constrained vanadium d xy orbitals, containing the unpaired electron, to overlap effectively via the ppi orbitals of the bridging oxygen atom, thus accounting for the trapped-valence situation in this case.  相似文献

Zinc oxide (ZnO) samples in the form of hexagonal-based bipyramids and particles of nanometer dimensions were synthesized through solvothermal route and characterized by x-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. Positron annihilation experiments were performed to study the structural defects such as vacancies and surfaces in these nanosystems. From coincidence Doppler broadening measurements, the positron trapping sites were identified as Zn vacancies or Zn-O-Zn trivacancy clusters. The positron lifetimes, their relative intensities, and the Doppler broadened lineshape parameter S all showed characteristic changes across the nanobipyramid size corresponding to the thermal diffusion length of positrons. In large nanobipyramids, vacancies within the crystallites also trapped positrons and the effects of agglomeration of such vacancies due to increased temperatures of synthesis were reflected in the variation of the annihilation parameters with their base diameters. The sizes of the nanoparticles used were all in the limit of thermal diffusion length of positrons and the annihilation characteristics were in accordance with the decreasing contribution from surfaces with increasing particle size.  相似文献

Reaction of the Schiff base, 1-(4-methylimidazol-5-yl) phenylhydrazonopropane-2-one oxime (LH), with copper(II) perchlorate hexahydrate and copper(II) nitrate trihydrate in a 1 : 1 M proportion in methanol affords [Cu2L2(H2O)(ClO4)](ClO4) (1) and [Cu2L2(H2O)2](NO3)2] (2) in moderate yields. Both 1 and 2 have been characterized by elemental analysis, ESI-MS, FT-IR, UV–vis absorption spectroscopy, EPR, electric conductivity, and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The X-ray crystal structures of 1·CH3COCH3 and 2 have been determined. Both compounds are dinuclear copper(II) complexes, with each copper μ2-bridged by two oxime ligands in a μ2-η1,η2 fashion. Variable temperature magnetic studies on 1 and 2 show that both compounds are dominated by an antiferromagnetic coupling through the oxime bridges.  相似文献

3‐Arylaminomethylidenechroman‐2‐carboxamide has been synthesized by a one‐pot three component reaction among 3‐formylchromone, aromatic amine, and cyclohexyl isocyanide. 3‐(N‐alkylsubstitued/unsubstituted)aminomethylidenechroman‐2‐carboxamides were synthesized by heating Passerini products derived from chromone‐3‐carbaldehyde with different aliphatic primary amines. The products obtained from the reactions of aliphatic primary amines readily form chromeno[2,3‐c]pyrrole when heated in acetic acid. Bischromanones have also been synthesized using this methodology.  相似文献

A new radial space-filling method for visualizing cluster hierarchies is presented. The method, referred to as a radial clustergram, arranges the clusters into a series of layers, each representing a different level of the tree. It uses adjacency of nodes instead of links to represent parent-child relationships and allocates sufficient screen real estate to each node to allow effective visualization of cluster properties through color-coding. Radial clustergrams combine the most appealing features of other cluster visualization techniques but avoid their pitfalls. Compared to classical dendrograms and hyperbolic trees, they make much more efficient use of space; compared to treemaps, they are more effective in conveying hierarchical structure and displaying properties of nodes higher in the tree. A fisheye lens is used to focus on areas of interest, without losing sight of the global context. The utility of the method is demonstrated using examples from the fields of molecular diversity and conformational analysis.  相似文献

Isotactic polyethylenimines with (S)-benzyl side chains were synthesized from 4-(S)-4-benzyl-2-oxazolines. When alpha-keto acids were subjected to transamination in the presence of this polymer, and a pyridoxamine coenzyme modified with hydrophobic chains, enantioselectivity toward the natural isomer (l > d) was observed, followed by racemization of the amino acid products. Measurements of the critical current density (Jc) by magnetisation and the upper critical field (Hc2) by magnetoresistance have been performed for hafnium-doped MgB2. There has been a remarkable enhancement of Jc as compared to that by ion irradiation without any appreciable decrease in Tc, which is beneficial from the point of view of applications. The irreversibility line extracted from Jc shows an upward shift. In addition, there has been an increase in the upper critical field which indicates that Hf partially substitutes for Mg. Hyperfine interaction parameters obtained from time differential perturbed angular correlation (TDPAC) measurements revealed the formation of HfB and HfB2 phases along with the substitution of Hf. A possible explanation is given for the role of these species in the enhancement of Jc in MgB2 superconductor.  相似文献
