A quinoline functionalized two novel fluorescent Schiff bases, N-(quinolin-2-ylmethylene) anthracen-1-amine (SB1) and 2-(quinolin-2-ylmethyleneamino) benzene thiol (SB2) were synthesized and confirmed by using 1H NMR, IR and GC-MS techniques. The spectroscopic properties were examined by absorption spectroscopy and fluorescence spectroscopy. The absorption and fluorescence spectra of the probes (SB1 and SB2) were measured in a variety of solvents. Both the compounds were tested for urease inhibitory activity. The synthesized compound SB2 proved to be the most effective screening for enzyme inhibitory activity with IC50?=?0.111 μM than SB1 (IC50?=?0.287 μM). Molecular docking studies were performed to delineate the binding affinity and conformational positions of chemical compounds within the active region of the target protein. In-vitro analysis depicts the potency of SB1 in free radical scavenging as compared to the reference drug vitamin C.  相似文献

We report the synthesis of a new water-soluble iminecalix[4]arene host 4c with a deep hydrophobic cavity. The negatively charged four carboxylate functions on the top of the cavity play a major role in the recognition of charged molecular species. The 1H NMR titration experiments revealed that host 4c binds with cationic (10-12) and neutral guests (6-9) in water with high binding constants in the order of 104-105 M−1. Cationic guest 9 showed highest binding constant of 2.81 × 105 M−1 with host 4c amongst all tested guests. Selectivity over anionic guests (13-17) is established by the presence of negative charges at the top of the deep hydrophobic cavity, as guests 15 and 17 were not recognized by host 4c. Neutral pyridine derivatives with hydrophobic chains at para positions showed high binding constants of 6.02 × 104-2.23 × 105 M−1. The data obtained for the recognition of the guests by host 4c revealed that the ionic as well as the hydrophobic-hydrophobic interactions are crucial in the molecular recognition in aqueous medium.  相似文献

We introduce the phenomenon of molecular recognition to immobilize oligonucleotides on AMCA slides for the production of 9G DNAChips. Facile and efficient method for the immobilization of the oligonucleotides appended with consecutive nine guanine bases is described. A MoO3-TiO2 nanocrystalline composite material was prepared by a simple solgel method.The synthesized material was charac-terized by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy with an electron dispersion spectroscopy,transmission electron microscopy,and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.Melanoidin is a dark brown pigment found in wastewater from the sugar industry and it pollutes water.This polluted water is generally referred to as molasses and it undergoes fermentation and is solely responsible for water,soil,and air pollution.The synthesized catalytic material was found to be effective in degrading molasses under UV-visible radiation.Analysis of treated and untreated molasses was carried out by measuring its color,chemical oxygen demand,biological oxygen demand,pH,and total dissolved solid.Results from these analyses indicate the effective photodegradation of the molasses.This methodology has several advantages such as high photocatalytic activity,non-toxicity,cleanliness,and reusability of the catalytic material.  相似文献

 A series of Ce1MgxZr1-xO2 mixed metal oxides with different molar ratios were prepared by simple co-precipitation and were characterized by X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy, temperature-pro- grammed desorption of CO2, and N2 adsorption techniques. The prepared materials were tested for catalytic activity by the synthesis of tet-rahydrobenzo[b]pyran derivatives using a three component reaction (aromatic aldehydes, malononitrile, and dimedone) in an ethanol me-dium. The best catalytic activity was obtained with Ce1Mg0.6Zr0.4O2. The particle size or crystallite size was estimated using the De-bye-Scherrer equation. The addition of magnesium oxide into the ceria-zirconia lattice resulted in the formation of nanosized particles rang-ing from 5.41 to 9.78 nm. This work describes the catalytic behavior of magnesium oxide in mixed metal oxide systems.  相似文献
