A simple and inexpensive synthesis of novel 2-(3-oxo-3-arylpropyl)-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-1-one derivatives has been achieved via Pd/C-mediated arylation followed by I2-mediated regioselective hydration of 2-(prop-2-ynyl)-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-1-ones. A wide variety of 3-aryl substituted 2-propynyl indanone derivatives were conveniently prepared by using 10% Pd/C-PPh3-CuI as a catalyst system, some of which were used to prepare the corresponding ketones via alkyne hydration in the presence of catalytic I2. An efficient method for the synthesis of selenoethers and selenacalix[4]thiophene utilizing SeCl2 is described. Reactions of phenols with SeCl2 produce the corresponding selenoethers in moderate to good yields. The selenacalix[4]thiophenes, [–Se-3,4-(C4(OR)2S)]4 (R = CH3, C6H13) were synthesized by convenient one-pot electrophilic aromatic substitution reaction of dialkoxy thiophene with SeCl2 in good yield. 相似文献

A stationary sequence of random variables with Birnbaum‐Saunders marginal distribution is constructed using a Gaussian autoregressive moving average sequence. The parameters of the model are then estimated by the maximum likelihood method, and the resulting estimators are shown to be consistent and asymptotically normal. A new class of bis heterocycles‐benzimidazolyl pyrazoles were prepared from the Michael acceptor (E)‐3‐(1H‐benzimidazol‐2‐yl)‐1‐aryl‐prop‐2‐en‐1‐one. The thiamide group was exploited to develop thiazole ring on treatment with p‐fluorophenacyl bromide to get tris heterocycles. All the lead compounds were tested for antimicrobial activity. Biodiesel represents a biodegradable, environmentally friendly, and renewable alternative to fossil fuels. Despite more than three decades of research, significant obstacles still hinder the widespread production of biodiesel. This current review elucidates both the potential and the existing challenges associated with homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts in catalyzing biodiesel production, with a particular focus on alkali analogues, alkaline earth metal oxides, and titania-based catalysts. In particular, a comprehensive analysis is presented concerning alkali and alkaline earth-based titania (TiO2) catalysts. Among these, the alkaline earth metal oxides, including lithium, calcium, and strontium when combined with titanium-based catalysts, exhibit superior catalytic activity compared to other metal oxides, owing to their heightened basicity. Mechanoluminescence, electroluminescence and high-pressure photoluminescence of Mn(Ph3PO)2Br2 crystals are reported. The mechanoluminescences spectra consist of molecular and nitrogen emissions. The spectra of the molecular-emission mechanoluminescence are similar to the photoluminescence and electroluminescence spectra. Three new types of hyperbranched photoactive liquid crystalline siloxane polymers containing azo moieties were synthesized using click chemistry methodology. The polymers were soluble in most of the polar solvents like chloroform, tetrahydrofuran, dimethylformamide, dimethyl sulphoxide and dichloromethane. The molecular weights of the polymers were in the range of 9000–12,000 g mol?1. The trans‐cis photoisomerization of the polymer were studied both under UV radiation and dark. The isomerization rate constants were found to be in the range of 0.7–1.4 × 10?2 sec?1 and 7.0 × ?2.5 × 10?5 sec?1. The thermotropic behavior of the polymers was studied by using polarizing optical microscopy and differential scanning calorimetry, respectively.
