The glucopyranosyl moiety (ring I) of paromomycin was modified in a search for novel aminoglycoside antibiotics. The key intermediates were the 4′,6′‐O‐benzylidenated N‐Boc derivative 3 and the azido analogue 18 . The bromobenzoates 4 and 19 were prepared by treating the benzylidene acetals 3 and 18 , respectively, with N‐bromosuccinimide (NBS), and the diol 8 was obtained by hydrogenolysis of 3. The C(6′)‐deoxy derivative 5 was obtained from 4 by treatment with Bu3SnH. Selective fluorodehydroxylation of 8 gave the fluoro derivative 9. The pseudotrisaccharide 13 was obtained by reductive fragmentaion of the iodo compound 12 obtained from the bromobenzoate 4 . The 3′,6′‐anhydro derivative 20 was obtained upon deacetylation of 19. Standard deprotection gave the C(6′)‐deoxy compound 7 , the fluoro compound 11 , the pseudotrisaccharide 15 , and the 3′,6′‐anhydro‐paromomycin 22 . As compared to paromomycin, the C(6′)‐deoxy and fluorodeoxy derivatives 7 and 11 showed a lower activity against both wild type 1408A and 1408G mutant ribosomes. Three optically active liquid crystal (LC) homomeric dipeptides, in particular, a pair of enantiomers and a diastereomer formed by joining two half-disc-like entities through a dipeptide spacer comprising L-L, D-D and L-D valine residues, have been synthesised and characterised. Hydrogen-bond-directed self-assembly of these non-discoid supramolecules results in the formation columnar (Col) LC phase. They form a stable organo gel in polar organic solvents through intermolecular hydrogen bond, and their scanning electronic microscopy (SEM) images reveal the presence of entangled network. The interaction of these homomeric dipeptides with nanaoparticles (silica species) has also been investigated by SEM images and UV-visible experiments. 相似文献

A simple and very efficient gas jet levitation technique for levitating inertial confinement fusion (ICF) targets has been
developed. A low velocity gas jet through diverging nozzle generates precisely controlled low Reynolds number flow pattern,
capable of levitating polymer microballoons up to 2500 μm diameter. Different shaped diverging nozzle are investigated, satisfactory
levitation is achieved with simple conical shapes. With this setup microballoon can be levitated for hours with excellent
stability, continuous rotation and at the desired height (reproducible with in less than 100 μm). The height of stabilization
depends upon cone angle of diverging nozzle and velocity of levitating gas. This technique is very robust and highly insensitive
to external disturbances like nonuniform temperature fields and vibrations.
This setup is very economical to fabricate, easy to operate and can be used efficiently in various spray coating application

In this paper, we investigate the effect of mutual interference on the dynamics of a predator-prey system with gestation delay. It has been observed that there is stability switches and system becomes unstable due to the combine effect of mutual interference and time delay. We determine the conditions under which the model system becomes globally asymptotically stable around the non-zero equilibria. By applying the normal form theory and the center manifold theorem, the explicit formulae which determine the stability and direction of the bifurcating periodic solutions are determined. Experiments were performed with a 15 J/500 ps Nd:glass laser (λ = 1064 nm) focussed to an intensity >1014 W/cm2. X-ray emissions from carbon foam and 5% Pt-doped carbon foam of density 150–300 mg/cc were compared with that of the solid carbon targets. The thickness of the carbon foam was 15 µm on a graphite substrate. X-ray emission was measured using semiconductor X-ray diodes covered with various filters having transmissions in different X-ray spectral ranges. It covered X-ray spectrum of 0.8–8.5 keV range. The X-ray emission in the soft X-ray region was observed to increase to about 1.8 times and 2.3 times in carbon foam and Pt-doped foam, respectively with respect to solid carbon. In hard X-rays, there was no measurable difference amongst the carbon foam, Pt-doped carbon foam and solid carbon. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis demonstrates that foam targets smoothens the crater formed by the laser irradiation. 相似文献

The divalent substitutions in rare-earth manganites create quenched disorders; those are responsible for the modification of magnetoelectronic properties through competition of two phases. In this regards, the substitution of divalent Hg is rarely studied. Here, we present the results on effect of Hg2+ substitution in LCMO manganites. We have synthesized polycrystalline samples with nominal compositions La0.7Ca0.3?xHgxMnO3 (0?x?0.2) by the standard solid-state reaction method. The X-ray diffraction data revealed monophasic nature without a signature of Hg related or any other impurity phase. The ac susceptibility measurement showed variation in the magnetic transition temperature as well as the transition width. The electrical resistivity measurement showed variation in metal-insulator transition temperature. The magnetoresistance (MR) measurements were carried out at 5 T magnetic field. The samples show varying magnitude of magnetoresistance as high as 74.48%. The distinct feature seen with Hg substitution is the increase in the magnitude of MR and temperature range over which MR value is sustained. It also improves the microstructure of the samples. 相似文献

properties, spectral (i.r., 1H-n.m.r., u.v.–vis., e.p.r. and FAB-mass) and thermal studies. The complexes exhibit an octahedral geometry around the metal
