Classes polaires associées aux distributions holomorphes de sous-espaces tangents*

Résumé. Nous définissons des classes polaires associées à une distribution holomorphe singulière de sous-espaces tangents d’une variété projective lisse. Nous prouvons que ces classes polaires peuvent être calculées en fonction des classes de Chern-Mather du faisceau tangent de la distribution et réciproquement. Nous utilisons leurs degrés pour borner les degrés de certaines classes polaires associés à une variété invariante. *Ce travail a été soutenu par l’Accord de Coopération France-Brésil (CNRS/CNPq) et par la Fondation CAPES-Brésil.     

The LPCTrap experiment: measurement of the β–ν angular correlation in 6He using a transparent Paul trap

We report on the status of the LPCTrap experiment, devoted to measure the β–ν angular correlation in the pure Gamow–Teller decay of ⁶He. This measurement is motivated by the search for the presence of tensor type contributions to the weak interaction. The ⁶He ions are confined in a novel transparent Paul trap. The β particles and the recoil ions are detected in coincidence to deduce the angular correlation parameter. The commissioning run performed in 2005 has given the proof of principle of this experiment. Up to 10⁵ coincidences were recorded during a second run in 2006.     

Commutators, C0-semigroups and resolvent estimates

We study the existence and the continuity properties of the boundary values on the real axis of the resolvent of a self-adjoint operator H in the framework of the conjugate operator method initiated by Mourre. We allow the conjugate operator A to be the generator of a C₀-semigroup (finer estimates require A to be maximal symmetric) and we consider situations where the first commutator [H,iA] is not comparable to H. The applications include the spectral theory of zero mass quantum field models.     

Curvature Conditions for Immersions of Submanifolds and Applications

Some curvature conditions about the geodesics emanating from a submanifold are obtained. These conditions are used to to study the topological and geometric properties of the ambient spaces which admit some minimal submanifolds.     

Trois formulations d'un modèle de plasma quasi-neutre avec courant non nul

In this Note, we propose three formulations of a model describing a quasi-neutral plasma with non-vanishing current. In order to study and compare the numerical efficiency of each formulation, two test-problems are implemented in one dimension. The first is a periodic perturbation of a uniform stationary plasma. On Certain Perturbations of the Erdös–Renyi Random Graph

We study perturbations of the Erdös–Renyi model for which the statistical weight of a graph depends on the abundance of certain geometrical patterns. Using the formal correspondance with an exactly solvable effective model, we show the existence of a percolation transition in the thermodynamical limit and derive perturbatively the expression of the threshold. The free energy and the moments of the degree distribution are also computed perturbatively in that limit and the percolation criterion is compared with the Molloy–Reed criterion.
