This study was conducted to investigate the physicochemical, phytochemical, in vitro antidiabetic and anticancer potential of Olea ferruginea R bark. After extraction using Soxhlet, in vitro antidiabetic and cytotoxic activity on human hepatocellular carcinoma (HepG2) cells was assessed by nonenzymatic glycosylation of hemoglobin assay, alpha-amylase inhibition assay, glucose uptake by yeast cells, and 3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5 diphenyl tetrazolium bromide assay, respectively, and gene expression via real-time polymerase chain reaction. Primary and secondary metabolites were present in the extractants; polyphenols (35.61 ± 0.03) and flavonoids (64.33 ± 0.35 ) in the chloroform; and polysaccharides in the ethanol (268.75 ± 0.34), and glycosaponins (78.01 ± 0.07) in the methanol. The chloroform extract exhibited maximum antidiabetic potential, showing inhibition of nonenzymatic glycosylation of hemoglobin (65%), and alpha-amylase inhibition (32%) with maximum percent glucose uptake by the ethanol extract (78%). Only the ethanol extract had dose-dependent cytotoxic potential against the HepG2 cells. After 24-h exposure to the ethanol-extract, the expression of protein kinase B (Akt) remained unchanged, while the expression of B-cell lymphoma 2 (BCL2) and BCL2 associated X (BAX) changed significantly. After 48-h exposure, the expression of Akt decreased significantly, while that of BCL2 and BAX increased significantly. Olea ferruginea R bark possessed in vitro antidiabetic potential and anticancer/cytotoxic effects, attributable to the decline in the prosurvival signals of the Akt signaling pathway.  相似文献

In this study, the urease-dextran non-covalent complexes in various molar ratios were synthesized and compared to the free enzyme in terms of pH, temperature, thermal and storage stabilities. Especially, the complex with a molar ratio of nU/nDA = 40/1 showed highest thermal stability and had ca. 1.4-fold at 25°C and 2.5-fold at 80°C higher activity than the free enzyme. The complex showed a high catalytic activity in organic solvent. In addition, the thermal and storage stabilities of urease were improved greatly as dextran complex, which has advantages for usage in practice.  相似文献

This contribution deals with the systematic derivation of an analytical model for a silicon tuning fork gyroscope with piezoelectric drive and piezoresistive read‐out. The effects of copper addition, from various adsorbents, on the accumulation ability and glucosinolate content of cultivated rocket were studied. Different adsorbents (zeolite NaX, egg shells, substrate, fly ash) were treated with copper(II) solution with an adsorption efficiency of 98.36, 96.67, 51.82 and 39.13%, respectively. The lowest copper content and the highest total glucosinolate content (44.37 μg/g DW and 4269.31 µg/g DW, respectively) were detected in the rocket grown in the substrate with the addition of a substrate spiked with copper(II) ions. Rocket grown in the fly ash-substrate mixture showed an increase in copper content (84.98 μg/g DW) and the lowest total glucosinolate content (2545.71 µg/g DW). On the other hand, when using the egg shells-substrate mixture, the rocket copper content increased (113.34 μg/g DW) along with the total GSLs content (3780.03 µg/g DW), indicating the influence of an adsorbent type in addition to the copper uptake. The highest copper content of 498.56 μg/g DW was detected in the rocket watered with copper(II) solution with a notable decrease in the glucosinolate content, i.e., 2699.29 µg/g DW. According to these results rocket can be considered as a copper accumulator plant.  相似文献

This contribution is concerned with the nonlinear controller design for a certain class of PWM (pulse width modulation) – controlled converter systems. It will be shown that under certain assumptions the SSA (state space averaging) – model of the PWM–controlled converter with the duty ratio as the plant input has a very special mathematical structure. Based on this mathematical model a modified version of the nonlinear H2–design where an integral term is systematically included in the nonlinear controller will be presented.  相似文献

This contribution deals with the application of computer algebra based methods to the analysis of dynamic systems described by implicit ordinary differential equations. This type of system defines a submanifold of a certain jet space. We solve the problem whether this submanifold admits a parametrization by an explicit system, i.e. any solution of the original system is a solution of the explicit one and vice versa. Since this approach requires the formal integrability of the implicit system, a sketch of an algorithm for the computation of the formally integrable system is presented.  相似文献

The hydroalcoholic (EtOH/H2O) extract of matured leaf margins of lemon balm (Melissa officinalis L.) afforded a new 3,23‐disulfate of 2α,3β‐23,29‐tetrahydroxyolean‐12‐en‐28‐oic acid 28‐Oβ‐D ‐glucopyranoside ( 1 ) and a new 23‐monosulfate of 2α,23‐dihydroxyurs‐12‐en‐28‐oic acid 3‐Oβ‐D ‐glucopyranoside ( 2 ), along with six known compounds, i.e., 23‐monosulfate of 2α,3β,19α,23‐tetrahydroxyurs‐12‐ene‐28‐oic acid 28‐Oβ‐D ‐glucopyranoside ( 3 ), 3,5,6‐trihydroxydehydro‐α‐ionol 9‐Oβ‐D ‐glucopyranoside ( 4 ), quadranoside III ( 5 ), rosmarinic acid ( 6 ), caffeic acid ( 7 ), and luteolin ( 8 ). All the isolated compounds were evaluated for their antioxidant, antimicrobial, antimalarial, and cytotoxic activities. Only rosmarinic acid exhibited substantial antioxidant and antimicrobial activities, whereas sulfated terpenes showed considerably lower or no antimicrobial activity.  相似文献

An infinite-dimensional approach for the active vibration control of a multilayered straight composite piezoelectric beam is presented. In order to control the excited beam vibrations, distributed piezoelectric actuator and sensor layers are spatially shaped to achieve a sensor/actuator collocation which fits the control problem. In the sense of von Kármán a nonlinear formulation for the axial strain is used and a nonlinear initial boundary-value problem for the deflection is derived by means of the Hamilton formalism. Three different control strategies are proposed. The first one is an extension of the nonlinear H-design to the infinite-dimensional case. It will be shown that an exact solution of the corresponding Hamilton–Jacobi–Isaacs equation can be found for the beam under investigation and this leads to a control law with optimal damping properties. The second approach is a PD-controller for infinite-dimensional systems and the third strategy makes use of the disturbance compensation idea. Under certain observability assumptions of the free system, the closed loop is asymptotically stable in the sense of Lyapunov. In this way, flexural vibrations which are excited by an axial support motion or by different time varying lateral loadings, can be suppressed in an optimal manner. A numerical example serves both to illustrate the design process and to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed methods.  相似文献

Herbs adapted to diverse climates exhibit distinct variability to fluctuating temperatures and demonstrate various metabolic and physiological adaptations to harsh environments. In this research, Rumex dentatus L. and Lavandula officinalis L. were collected before snowfall in September–November to evaluate variability in major phytoconstituents to diverse seasonal regime. LC-MS was used for simultaneous determination of eight anthraquinone derivatives in R. dentatus, i.e. emodin, physcion, chrysophanol, physcion glucoside, endocrocin, emodin glucoside, chrysophanol glucoside and chromone derivatives and monoterpenes in L. officinalis i.e. (Z)-β-ocimene, (E)-β-ocimene, terpene alcohol, terpin-4-ol, acetate ester-linalyl acetate and bicyclic sesquiterpene (E)-caryophyllene. The correlation analysis confirmed significant variation in anthraquinone glucoside and terpene content within Rumex and Lavender, respectively, and altitude was established as the determinant factor in secondary metabolism of both herbs. The study concludes the propagation of herbs in bioclimatic belts which favour accumulation of major constituents and validate their greater pharmacological activity.  相似文献
