A novel spectrophotometric method for the simultaneous kinetic analysis of ternary mixtures by mean centering of ratio kinetic profiles

In this paper, a novel and very simple method was developed for the simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of ternary mixtures, without prior separation steps. The method is based on the mean centering of ratio kinetic profiles. The mathematical explanation of the procedure is illustrated. In order to investigate the applicability of the proposed method, it was applied to the simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of hydrazine, phenylhydrazine and acetylhydrazine based on their condensation reactions with p-(dimethylamino)benzaldehyde (DAB) and p-nitrobenzaldehyde (NB) in micellar sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) media as a typical ternary mixture. The analytical characteristics of the method such as accuracy, precision, relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) and relative standard error (R.S.E.) were calculated.     

Fuzzy common fixed point theorems for generalized contractive mappings

We prove the existence of a fuzzy common fixed point of two mappings satisfying a generalized contractive condition. Our results provide extensions as well as substantial improvements of several well known results from the existing literature.     

Utility of Hantzsch Ester in Synthesis of Some 3,5‐Bis‐dihydropyridine Derivatives and Studying Their Biological Evaluation

The present work involves synthesis of new 3,5‐bis‐substituted dihydropyridine derivatives 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 , 10 , 11 , 12 , 13 , 14 , 15 , 16 starting from dihydropyridine‐3,5‐dicarboxylate ( 1 ) as starting material. Structures of new compounds were established by spectral and elemental analyses. Some of the new compounds were evaluated for anticancer and antimicrobial activity. Screening data of the tested compounds show promising anticancer and antimicrobial activity. The detail synthesis, spectroscopic data, and pharmacological activities are reported.     

Freezing the self-assembly process of gold nanocrystals

The ability to stop the self-assembly of gold nanocrystals at a desired stage of the process provides new leverage to understand and control the dynamics of self-assembly. Herein, competitive ligands are used to unfavor the interaction of the cross-linker with the gold surface and terminate the growth reaction of gold nanoparticles and nanorod chains.     

A One-Pot and Convenient Synthesis of Coumarins in Solventless System

An efficient and facile preparation of simple coumarins via in situ Wittig reaction of salicylaldehydes, triphenylphosphine, and chloroethylacetate supported on MgO in satisfactory yields in solvent-free condition.     

Host–guest complexes of cucurbit[7]uril with albendazole in solid state

The inclusion complex of cucurbit[7]uril (CB7) and albendazole (ABZ) in solid state was prepared by freeze-drying. The formation of a host–guest complex was confirmed by microanalysis, ¹H-nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and fourier transformed-infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) techniques. The shifts in the NMR peaks supported the encapsulation from the propylthio and not the carbamate site, in agreement with the previously reported results in solution. The N₂ adsorption–desorption isotherms indicated no change in the calculated surface area or the pore size distribution for the unbound and CB7-bound ABZ solid drugs. Freeze-drying produced a system with a higher degree of amorphisation as confirmed by the X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) technique. Thermal analysis of the drug-loaded CB7 by using differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetry demonstrated the possibility of dehydration at temperature 100 °C beyond the melting point of unbound ABZ since no melting of the samples was observed until the CB7 itself begins to decompose around 300 °C. Putting it all together, the results supported that CB7 imparts significant thermal/physical stability on the ABZ drug in the solid state.     

Toxicity of Molybdenum and its Trace Analysis in Animal Tissues and Plants

A sensitive, selective, rapid and reproducible method is presented for the analysis of sub-microgram levels of molybdenum in animal tissues (Liver) and plants. The method is based on solvent extraction of Molybdenum (VI) using isoamyl alcohol solution of N-o-tolyl-o-methoxy-benzohydroxamic acid at pH 1.5-2.5, and subsequent spectrophotometric determination of the yellow extract at 350 nm.
