Linear isotherm regularity is applied to generate an expression for the direct correlation function (DCF), based on the optimized random-phase approximation theory. We use the Lennard-Jones potential in the modelling of real fluids, in which its molecular parameters are state-dependent. Based on the perturbation theory, we assume that the core contribution of the DCF is related to the geometric effect via a linear form, which arises from the excluded volume, and the tail contribution is related to the long-range intermolecular interactions of the system via a non-linear form. We use this model to predict the behaviour of the structure factor, S(k), in a wide range of k values for the xenon and krypton liquids. Finally, we compare our results with the experimental and theoretical data available in literature. The model is also successful in the presentation of the Ornstein–Zernike behaviour of S(k) at the low-k region. 相似文献

The production of new biocidal polyester Schiff base metal complexes [PESB–M(II)] via polycondensation reaction between chelated
Schiff base diol and adipoyl chloride is reported. The resulting polyesters were characterized by physico-chemical and spectroscopic
methods. The analytical data of all the synthesized polyesters were found to be in good agreement with 1:1 molar ratio of
chelated Schiff base diol to adipoyl chloride. Thermogravimetric analyses of synthesized polyesters were studied by TG in
nitrogen atmosphere up to 1073 K and results indicate that Cu(II) polyester complex exhibited better heat resistant properties
than the other polyesters complexes. Magnetic moment and UV–visible spectra were examined to explain the structure of all
the polyesters which reveled that Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) have octahedral geometry while Cu(II) possess a distorted octahedral
geometry. These newly developed polyesters were also tested for their antibacterial activity against several bacteria and
fungi. Among all the tested compounds PESB–Cu(II) possess the highest bactericidal and fungicidal activity. 相似文献

The injection of a liquid jet into a crossing Mach 6 air flow is investigated. Experiments were conducted on a sharp leading
edge flat plate with flush mounted injectors. Water jets were introduced through different nozzle shapes at relevant jet-to-air
momentum–flux ratios. Sufficient temporal resolution to capture small scale effects was obtained by high-speed recording,
while directional illumination allowed variation in field of view. Shock pattern and flow topology were visualized by Schlieren-technique.
Correlations are proposed on relating water jet penetration height and lateral extension with the injection ratio and orifice
diameter for circular injector jets. Penetration height and lateral extension are compared for different injector shapes at
relevant jet-to-air momentum–flux ratios showing that penetration height and lateral extension decrease and increase, respectively,
with injector’s aspect ratio. Probability density function analysis has shown that the mixing of the jet with the crossflow
is completed at a distance of x/d

Among a variety of microbial materials employed for biosorption, algae have added advantages of non-toxic and autotrophic nature. In this study, biosorption of Hg(II) was studied with red algal biomass of Porphyridium cruentum. The parameters affecting biosorption such as dosage of biosorbent, pH, contact time, initial metal concentration, temperature and effect of foreign metal cations in binary system were evaluated. Kinetic data were described with the help of pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order kinetic models. Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin and Dubinin–Radushkevich isotherm models were applied to adsorption equilibrium data. According to the results, the maximum removal capacity (qmax) was 2.62?mg/g observed at pH 7 with 0.25?g/L of biosorbent dosage for Hg(II) solution containing 10?mg/L of metal ions. The Langmuir isotherm model fits best to the adsorption data while the kinetic data followed the pseudo-second-order model. Thermodynamics studies showed that the biosorption process of Hg(II) on P. cruentum was exothermic in nature. 相似文献

In this article we consider a real-world problem submitted to us by the Hatch company. This problem consists of designing a collection network for a wind farm, assuming that the locations of the turbines and the potential cables are known, several cable types are available, and the cost of the energy that dissipates through the cables is known. We propose a mixed integer quadratic programme to model the network design problem and then linearize the quadratic programme because the latter is too difficult to solve using a standard mathematical programming software. We describe several classes of inequalities that strengthen the resulting mixed integer linear programme. Finally we use real-world data supplied by Hatch to carry out computational experiments with several versions of our model. 相似文献

Whole plant extracts of Croton sparsiflorus in methanol have shown significant enzyme inhibition and antioxidant activities. Bioassay-guided isolation of chloroform fraction at pH 3 resulted in the identification of crotsparinine (1) and crotsparine (2), while sparsiflorine (3) was purified from the chloroform fraction at pH 9. The structures of the compounds were confirmed through spectral analyses (EI-MS, 1H and 13C NMR). The isolated compounds 1–3 exhibited remarkable enzyme inhibition activity with IC50 values 27.01 ± 1.1, 22.26 ± 1.0 and 18.02 ± 1.3 μM in xanthine oxidase and 48.42 ± 1.5, 48.05 ± 1.4 and 7.42 ± 1.0 μM in acetylcholine esterase assays, respectively. These compounds also showed potent radical scavenging and reducing properties in DPPH and FRAP assays, respectively. The present results suggest the validity of the traditional uses of C. sparsiflorus in rheumatism and gout. Furthermore, the isolated noraporphine alkaloids can be useful in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. 相似文献

ABSTRACT: BACKGROUND: Biotransformation offers chemo enzymatic system to modify the compounds into their novel analogues which are difficult to synthesize by chemical methods. This paper describes the biotransformational studies of ambrox, one of the most important components of natural Ambergris (wale sperm) with fungal and plant cell culture. RESULTS: Biotransformation of ()-ambrox (1) with a fungal cell culture of Macrophomina phaseolina and a plant cell suspension cultures of Peganum harmala yielded oxygenated products, 3beta- hydroxyambrox (2), 6beta-hydroxyambrox (3), 1alpha-hydroxy-3oxoambrox (4), 1alpha,3beta- dihydroxyambrox (5), 13,14,15,16-tetranorlabdane-3-oxo-8,12-diol (6), 3-oxoambrox (7), 2alpha- hydroxyambrox (8), 3beta-hydroxysclareolide (9), and 2alpha,3beta-dihydroxyambrox (10). Metabolite 4 was found to be new compound. These metabolites were structurally characterized on the basis of spectroscopic studies. CONCLUSION: Nine oxygenated metabolites of ()-ambrox (1) were obtained from Macrophomina phaseolina and Peganum harmala. Enzymatic system of screened organisms introduced hydroxyl and keto functionalities at various positions of compound 1 in a stereo- and regiocontrolled manner. 相似文献

The complexes [Ni{(RO)2PS2}2Tsc], [Ni{(RO)2PS2}2ApTsc], and [Ni{(RO)2PS2}FurTsc.2H2O] where R = methyl (Me), ethyl (Et) or propyl (Prop); Tsc = thiosemicarbazide, ApTsc = 2-acetylpyridine-thiosemicarbazone, and FurTsc = furfuraldhydethiosemicarbazone have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, conductance measurements, and spectral studies (IR, UV-Vis, and mass). Thermal studies of the complexes have been carried out using TG and DTG techniques. An octahedral structure has been proposed for all types of the complexes. A representative types of the complexes are tested against various pathogenic bacteria and fungi. The [Ni{(EtO)2PS2}2ApTsc] shows a high degree of activity against bacteria and fungi; this may be attributed to the pyridyl ring of the 2-acetylpyridinethiosemicarbazone ligand. 相似文献

Spodoptera litura Fab. is a polyphagous pest causing damage to many agriculture crops leading to yield loss. Recurrent usage of synthetic pesticides to control this pest has resulted in resistance development. Plant-derived diterpenoid compound andrographolide was isolated from the leaves of Andrographis paniculata. It was analysed by gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy and quantified by HPLC. Nutritional indices and digestive enzymatic profile were evaluated. Third, fourth and fifth instar larvae were treated with different concentrations of andrographolide. At 3, 6 and 9 ppm-treated concentrations the larvae showed decreased RGR, RCR, ECI, ECD values with adverse increase in AD. The digestive enzymes were significantly inhibited when compared with control. Conspicuously, andrographolide showed pronounced mortality of S. litura by inhibition of enzyme secretion and intake of food. The binding ability of andrographolide with CYTP450 showed high affinity with low binding energy. Andrographolide has the potential to be exploited as a biocontrol agent against S. litura as an eco-friendly pesticide. 相似文献

In this paper, a new (3+1)-dimensional nonlinear evolution equation is introduced, through the generalized bilinear operators based on prime number p=3. By Maple symbolic calculation, one-, two-lump, and breather-type periodic soliton solutions are obtained, where the condition of positiveness and analyticity of the lump solution are considered. The interaction solutions between the lump and multi-kink soliton, and the interaction between the lump and breather-type periodic soliton are derived, by combining multi-exponential function or trigonometric sine and cosine functions with a quadratic one. In addition, new interaction solutions between a lump, periodic-solitary waves, and one-, two- or even three-kink solitons are constructed by using the ansatz technique.
