The steady flows of a non-Newtonian fluid are considered when the slippage between the plate and the fluid is valid. The constitutive equations of the fluid are modeled by those for an Oldroyd 6-constant fluid. They give rise to non-linear boundary value problems. The analytical solutions are obtained using powerful, easy-to-use analytic technique for non-linear problems, the homotopy analysis method. It is shown that solutions exist for all values of non-Newtonian parameters. The solutions valid for no-slip condition for all values of non-Newtonian parameters can be derived as the special cases of the present analysis. Finally, graphs are plotted and critical assessment is made for the cases of slip and no-slip conditions. 相似文献

The flow of a second-grade fluid past a porous plate subject to either suction or blowing at the plate has been studied. A
modified model of second-grade fluid that has shear-dependent viscosity and can predict the normal stress difference is used.
The differential equations governing the flow are solved using homotopy analysis method (HAM). Expressions for the velocity
have been constructed and discussed with the help of graphs. Analysis of the obtained results showed that the flow is appreciably

Summary The stability of miscible fluid displacement through porous media has been investigated when concentration induced density and viscosity gradients are present. In this study, the advantages of carrying out the analysis of peptides and tryptic digests of proteins under gradient elution conditions at pH 6.5 by reversed-phase liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) and in-line electrospray ionisation mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) are documented. For these RP separations, a double endcapped, bidentate anchored n-octadecyl wide pore silica adsorbent was employed in a capillary column format. Compared to the corresponding analysis of the same peptides and protein tryptic digests using low pH elution conditions for their RP-HPLC separation, this alternative approach provides improved selectivity and more efficient separation of these analytes, thus allowing a more sensitive identification of proteins at different abundance levels, i.e. more tryptic peptides from the same protein could be confidently identified, enabling higher sequence coverage of the protein to be obtained. This approach was further evaluated with very complex tryptic digests derived from a human plasma protein sample using an online two-dimensional (2D) strong cation-exchange (SCX)-RP-HPLC-ESI-MS/MS system. Again, at pH 6.5, with mobile phases of different compositions, improved chromatographic selectivities were obtained, concomitant with more sensitive on-line electrospray ionisation tandem mass spectrometric (ESI-MS/MS) analysis. As a consequence, more plasma proteins could be confidently identified, highlighting the potential of these RP-HPLC methods with elution at pH 6.5 to extend further the scope of proteomic investigations. 相似文献

We report a facile and green method for the fabrication of new type of electrocatalysts based on MnO2 nanoparticles incorporated on MgAl LDH P-type semiconductive channel and explore its practical applications as high-performance electrode materials for electrochemical biosensor. A series of MgAl layered doubled hydroxide (LDH) nanohybrids with fixed Mg/Al (M2+/M3+ atomic ratio of 3) and varied amount of MnCl2.4H2O are fabricated by a facile co-precipitation method. This approach demonstrates the combination of distinct properties including excellent intercalation features of LDH for entrapping nanoparticles and high loading of MnO2 nanoparticles in the host layers of LDH. Among all samples, Mn5–MgAl with 0.04% loaded manganese has a good crystalline morphology. A well-dispersed MnO2 nanoparticles encapsulated into the host matrix of hydrotalcite exhibit enhanced electrocatalytic activity towards the reduction of H2O2 as well as excellent stability, selectivity and reproducibility due to synergistic effect of good catalytic ability of MnO2 and conductive MgAl LDH. Glass carbon electrode (GCE) modified with Mn5–MgAl possesses a wide linear range of 0.05–78 mM, lowest detection limit 5 μM (S/N = 3) and detection sensitivity of 0.9352 μAmM−1. This outstanding performance enables it to be used for real-time tracking of H2O2 secreted by live HeLa cells. This work may provide new insight in clinical diagnosis, on-site environmental analysis and point of care testing devices. 相似文献

To contribute to the understanding of Eu(III) interaction preperties on hydrous alumina particles in the absence and presence of fulvic acid (FA), the complexation properties of Eu(III) with hydrous alumina, FA and FA-alumina hybrids are studied by batch and time-resolved laser fluorescence spectroscopy (TRLFS) techniques. The continuous increase in the fluorescence lifetime of Eu-alumina and Eu-FA with increasing pH indicates that the complexation is accompanied by decreasing number of hydration water in the first coordination sphere of Eu(III). Eu(III) is adsorbed onto alumina particles as outer-sphere surface complexes of ≡(Al?O)?Eu· (OH)· 7H2O and ≡(Al?O)?Eu· 6H2O at low pH values, and as inner-sphere surface complexes as ≡(Al?O)2?Eu+· 4H2O at high pH. In FA solution, Eu(III) forms complexes with FA as (COO)2Eu+(H2O) x and the hydration water number in the first coordination sphere decreases with pH increasing. The formation of ≡COO?Eu?(O?Al≡)· 4H2O is observed on FA-alumina hybrids, suggesting the formation of strong inner-sphere surface complexes in the presence of FA. The surface complexes are also characterized by their emission spectra [the ratio of emission intensities of 5 D 0→7 F 1 (λ=594 nm) and 5 D 0→7 F 2 (λ=619 nm) transitions] and their fluorescence lifetime. The findings is important to understand the contribution of FA in the complexation properties of Eu(III) on FA-alumina hybrids that the clarification of the environmental behavior of humic substances is necessary to understand fully the behavior of Eu(III), or its analogue trivalent lanthanide and actinide ions in natural environment. 相似文献

The X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) technology has exhibited a very unique application in the study of sorption mechanism, chemical species and microstructures of radionuclides at the natural solid-water interfaces. In this review, the interaction mechanism of radionuclides with clay minerals and nanomaterials under different environmental conditions are summarized from the XAFS spectroscopy analysis. The coordination number and the bond distances of radionuclides, the oxidation-reduction reactions, the influence of humic substances and microorganisms on the species and structures of radionuclides at molecule level are reviewed and compared. This review is helpful to understand the interactions of radionuclides with oxides, natural clay minerals and nanomaterials, which is also crucial to evaluate the physicochemical behaviors of radionuclides in the natural environment. 相似文献

Some steady as well as unsteady solutions of the equations of motion for an incompressible Newtonian and non-Newtonian (second-grade)
fluids are obtained by applying different methods including the Lie symmetry group method. The flows considered are axially
symmetric with the swirling motion, and the governing equations for second-grade fluid flow have been modeled. Expressions
for streamlines, velocity and vorticity components are constructed explicitly in each case. Exact analytical solutions in
