This study models the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) three-dimensional boundary layer flow of viscoelastic fluid. The flow is due to the exponentially stretching surface. The heat transfer analysis is performed through prescribed surface temperature (PST) and prescribed surface heat flux (PHF). The thermal conductivity is taken temperature dependent. Series solutions of velocities and temperatures are constructed. Graphical results for PST and PHF cases are plotted and analyzed. Numerical values of skin-friction coefficients and Nusselt numbers are presented and discussed.  相似文献

The spherical wave scattering response by a perfectly conducting open–ended waveguide in a biisotropic medium is obtained. Interestingly, the vector diffraction problem is reduced to the scattering of a single scalar field, this scalar field being the normal component of either a left–handed or a right–handed Beltrami field. Here, we explicitly consider the scattering of the left–handed field component, that of the other scalar field being analogously tractable. The solution is constructed with the aid of the Wiener–Hopf technique.  相似文献

An efficient method coupling a local boundary condition to a finite element technique is proposed to compute guided modes of optical fibres under the weak guidance assumptions. This method is designed to provide accurate solutions for optical fibres with no restriction on their shape as well as on their refractive index profile. This article deals with the hitherto unexplored metal complexes of deprotonated 6,12‐di(pyridin‐2‐yl)‐5,11‐dihydroindolo[3,2‐b]carbazole (H2L). The synthesis and structural, optical, electrochemical characterization of dimeric [{RuIII(acac)2}2(μ‐L.?)]ClO4 ([ 1 ]ClO4, S=1/2), [{RuII(bpy)2}2(μ‐L.?)](ClO4)3 ([ 2 ](ClO4)3, S=1/2), [{RuII(pap)2}2(μ‐L2?)](ClO4)2 ([ 4 ](ClO4)2, S=0), and monomeric [(bpy)2RuII(HL?)]ClO4 ([ 3 ]ClO4, S=0), [(pap)2RuII(HL?)]ClO4 ([ 5 ]ClO4, S=0) (acac=σ‐donating acetylacetonate, bpy=moderately π‐accepting 2,2’‐bipyridine, pap=strongly π‐accepting 2‐phenylazopyridine) are reported. The radical and dianionic states of deprotonated L in isolated dimeric 1 +/ 2 3+ and 4 2+, respectively, could be attributed to the varying electronic features of the ancillary (acac, bpy, and pap) ligands, as was reflected in their redox potentials. Perturbation of the energy level of the deprotonated L or HL upon coordination with {Ru(acac)2}, {Ru(bpy)2}, or {Ru(pap)2} led to the smaller energy gap in the frontier molecular orbitals (FMO), resulting in bathochromically shifted NIR absorption bands (800–2000 nm) in the accessible redox states of the complexes, which varied to some extent as a function of the ancillary ligands. Spectroelectrochemical (UV/Vis/NIR, EPR) studies along with DFT/TD‐DFT calculations revealed (i) involvement of deprotonated L or HL in the oxidation processes owing to its redox non‐innocent potential and (ii) metal (RuIII/RuII) or bpy/pap dominated reduction processes in 1 + or 2 2+/ 3 +/ 4 2+/ 5 +, respectively.  相似文献

The effect of nonlinear mixed convection in stretched flows of rate-type non-Newtonian materials is described. The formulation is based upon the Maxwell liquid which elaborates thermal relation time characteristics. Nanofluid properties are studied considering thermophoresis and Brownian movement. Thermal radiation, double stratification, convective conditions, and heat generation are incorporated in energy and nanoparticle concentration expressions. A boundary-layer concept is implemented for the simplification of mathematical expressions. The modeled nonlinear problems are computed with an optimal homotopy scheme. Moreover, the Nusselt and Sherwood numbers as well as the velocity, nanoparticle concentration, and temperature are emphasized. The results show opposite impacts of the Deborah number and the porosity factor on the velocity distribution.  相似文献

The proliferation of information and communication technology has made exchange of information easier than ever. Security and copyright protection of multimedia contents in such a scenario has become a major challenge for the research community round the globe. Digital watermarking has been found as an effective tool for protection and security of multimedia content. A secure and robust watermarking scheme based on DC coefficient modification in pixel domain and a modified logistic map is presented in this paper. The cover image is divided into \(8 \times 8\) sub-blocks and instead of computing DC coefficient using discrete cosine transform (DCT), we compute DC coefficient of each block in spatial domain. Watermark bits are embedded by modifying DC coefficients of various blocks in spatial domain. The quantum of change to be brought in various pixels of a block for embedding watermark bit depends upon DC coefficient of respective blocks, nature of watermark bit (0 or 1) to be embedded and the adjustment factor. The security of embedded watermark has been taken care of by using chaotic encryption based on a generalized logistic map (GLM). We show that GLM has better properties like ergodicity, larger lyapunov exponent, uniform invariant density, mixing, higher range of bifurcation parameter etc., compared to basic logistic map. We exploit these properties of GLM for designing a secure robust, strong efficient cryptosystem to encrypt the watermark information before embedding it. Experimental investigations show that besides being highly secure the proposed technique is robust to both signal processing and geometric attacks. Further, the proposed scheme is computationally efficient as DC coefficient which holds the information is computed in pixel domain instead of using DCT on an image block.  相似文献

Squeezed air film between two closely spaced vibrating microstructures is the important source of energy dissipation and has profound effects on the dynamics of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). Perforations in the design are one of the methods to model these damping effects. The literature reveals that the analytical modeling of squeeze film damping of perforated circular microplates is less explored; however, these microplates are also an imperative part of the numerous MEMS devices. Here, we derive an analytical model of transverse and rocking motions of a perforated circular microplate. A modified Reynolds equation that incorporates compressibility and rarefaction effects is utilized in the analysis. Pressure distribution under the vibrating microplate is derived by using Green’s function and also derived by finite element method (FEM) to visualize the pressure distribution under perforated and non-perforated areas of the microplate. The analytical damping results are validated with previous renowned analytical models and also with the FEM results. The outcomes confirm the potential of the present analytical model to accurately predict the squeeze film damping parameters.  相似文献

The two-dimensional boundary layer flow of an Oldroyd-B fluid in the presence of nanoparticles is investigated. Convective heat and mass conditions are considered in the presence of thermal radiation and heat generation. The Brownian motion and thermophoresis effects are retained. The nonlinear partial differential equations are reduced into the ordinary differential equation (ODE) systems. The resulting ODE systems are solved for the series solutions. The results are analyzed for various physical parameters of interest. Numerical values of the local Nusselt and Sherwood numbers are also computed and analyzed.  相似文献

Mixed convection three-dimensional flow of Jeffrey fluid is studied in the presence of thermal radiation and thermophoresis. The relevant problems are formulated, and series solutions are presented for velocities, temperature, and concentration. Convergence of series solutions is obtained graphically and numerically. Effects of different emerging parameters on the velocities, temperature, and concentration fields are plotted and discussed.  相似文献
